  • Interference alignment (IA) has been a powerful approach to achieve the maximum degree of freedom (DoF) for K users multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) interference channels. However, due to the feasibility constraint, aligning all the interference signals at each receiver is impractical for large K without symbol extension. In this paper, we propose two best-effort interference alignment (BEIA) schemes that the network selects the maximum number of interfering transmitters to align their signals given the feasibility conditions when each transmitter-receiver pair has a constant number of data streams. Besides, in case of not all interfering signals aligned at each receiver, an upper bound of the average throughput is derived. Simulation results show that the proposed schemes have superiority over the traditional methods, such as time division multiple access (TDMA) and cluster IA(CIA), in low and moderate signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) region in terms of average user throughput. In addition, the proposed max-min relative interference distance alignment scheme outperforms the proposed scheme of equal interfering transmitters number alignment in terms of both average user throughput and minimum user throughput.

  • This paper studies on Sun interference effects or Sun outage effects on C-band satellite reception signal for THAICOM2. The THAICOM2 satellite is at 78.5 degree East 〔co-located with THAICOM3〕. The down link station was located in Khon-kaen, longitude 102.83 degree East and latitude 16.43 degree North. The antenna diameter is 4.6 meters for C-band downlink station. Total 9 times of sun interference events were occurred during summer and fall of 2001 and these about 53 minutes altogether. The Maximum CM degradation of the THAICOM2 system was around 11 dB. The Sun interference events of 53 minutes of one year are 0.0122 percents of the C-band contact time when 21 hours of contact time is used f3r broadcasting a day.

  • In this paper, we introduce CoMP in 3GPP LTE-Advanced Release 11 to take care of shadowing effects appearing in cell-edge areas to meet rapidly increasing demand for high speed transmission and multi-media data. In order to mitigate interference, orthogonalizing is ideal but it is slightly difficult to be applied to real systems. Therefore, interference alignment and avoidance are used in practical applications. Interference alignment is a scheme enabling us to consider interference our friend not enemy. We show lattice codes in Gaussian channel achieve Shannon capacity where strong interference exists. In addition, we show the relationship between channel parameter a and DoF(Degree of Freedom) applying lattice codes to interference alignment for interference channel with three users.

  • This paper describes interference effect analysis of transverse member based on large-scale pullout test results of steel strip reinforcement with '${\sqcap}$' type transverse member. The maximum passive resistance has a difference according to the installed location of transverse member, and the total pullout resistance is increased, when transverse member was closed to the wall facing. The degree of interference confirmed that the install location of transverse member cannot reflect the pullout force differential, if S/B is equal. However, The interference factor based on maximum passive resistance reflected the differential of maximum passive resistance and install location of transverse member.

  • We consider the device-to-device (D2D) communication underlaying multi-cell interference system, in which the cellular downlink (DL) resource is reused by K cells and two D2D transmission links within each cell. In this paper, it has been shown that the downlink intra-cell and inter-cell interference can be effectively handled by interference alignment (IA) technique, as long as the simultaneous D2D links are properly selected or power-controlled so that they may not incur interference to the base stations in the same and neighbor cells. In particular, we provides the IA technique that can achieve the theoretically maximum possible degree of freedom (DOF), demonstrating that a total of (K+1)M degrees of freedom (DOFs) can be achieved for K-cell interference system with two underlaying D2D links, where base stations, cellular UE's, and D2D UE's all have M transmit and receive antennas.

  • The degree of electrophilic interference on the solvolytic reactions of model substrates has been studied in fluorinated alcohol solvent mixtures. With variation of solvent composition of 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanol(HFP) and 2-propanol (PrOH) mixtures, the magnitude of electrophilic solvent assistance was changed inversely with the degree of nucleophilic solvent assistance. The contribution of electrophilic interference for 2-adamantyl tosylate showed higher than tert-butyl chloride in HFP-PrOH mixtures. Through a correlation of nucleophilic solvent assistance and electrophilic solvent assistance based on the method of double differences, HFP-PrOH mixture showed a big discrepancy from non-fluorinated alcohol systems.

  • The waveform at the blasting pattern using k13 delay electronic detonator depends on the interference of adjacent delay time according to the degree of distance and frequency. The degree of interference affects the size of blasting vibration at a measuring point. This study analyzed the cooperating change characteristics of MS delay blasting separately detonated at intervals of 40m and presented through frequency the delay time design method that is able to reduce the cooperation of blasting vibration at the MS delay blasting.

  • A metal sheath provides a cable with electrostatic screening and a degree of magnetic screening. The presence of a screen on a cable also reduces the induction arising from the high-frequency components of transients caused by power-line switching and also induced transients from lightning strokes; such transient induced voltages are of increasing importance with the increasing use of miniaturized telecommunication equipment with very small thermal capacity. This paper describes electrostatic induction and electromagnetic induction caused by power interference. Also screening factors are proposed.

  • In this letter, we analyze an ultra-wideband ranging system based on non-linear chirp waveforms with the ability of narrowband interference suppression. A number of non-linear chirp waveforms are proposed and evaluated by simulation. The results verify that the proposed schemes can suppress the Narrowband interference to a certain degree.
