Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of knowledge of hepatitis A, health perception, and health promoting behavior among young and middle-age adult's. Methods: 207 young and middle-age adult's workers living in Gyeonggi-do participated in this study and completed structured questionnaire. The knowledge of hepatitis A was assessed by the questionnaire which researchers developed. Health perception was measured by Health Perception Scale (Ware, 1979) while health promoting behavior was assessed by Lee's(2006) questionnaire. These data were analyzed with Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test, ANOVA. Results: The knowledge score of hepatitis A was 9.53; the health perception score was 3.71; the health promoting behavior score was 3.38. There were no significant differences in knowledge of hepatitis A, health perception, and health promoting behaviors. However, A significant correlation was found between health perception and health promoting behaviors. Conclusion: The knowledge of hepatitis A found to be low. Therefore further study needs to develop nursing interventions that could improve knowledge and awareness of hepatitis A.
This study was carried out to investigate the nutrition knowledge, dietary attitudes, and dietary habits of girl's high school students in Kunsan, and to investigate their recognition of food-nutrition labeling. The results are summarized as follows. General nutrition knowledge is relatively low, with an average of 0.57. It was shown that high school female students skipped breakfast rather than lunch or dinner, with a skipping rate of 28.9% for breakfast, 0.7% for lunch, and 8.6% for dinner. Regarding snacks, 35.5% of all the surveyed students had 1 snack per day, with 31.9% having them between lunch and dinner. The most popular snacks include biscuits (22.3%), noodles (18.3%) and bakery (13.3%). The most popular response was that students 'sometimes checked' the food label of processed domestic and imported processed food. The level of satisfaction with food labels is moderate, with an average of 2.96, out of 5. The most satisfactory title about food labels was 'helpful for food selection' with 3.19. On the other hand, the least satisfactory title was 'understands the label' with 2.78. Regarding the identification of the nutrition labeling, the highest response was 'sometimes watched, sometimes not' with 40.5%. Products which were most often checked were milk/milk products (3.44), snacks/bread (3.33), and soft drinks (3.07). Among nutrition labeling items, total calories was the most important, followed by fat, carbohydrate, cholesterol and calcium. The question regarding the knowledge of nutrition labeling rated an average of 0.58 (out of 1). There was a significant positive correlation between the degree of the nutrition label verification and the dietary attitude score, along with the nutrition labeling knowledge and the nutrition knowledge score of the subjects. On the other hand, the degree of the nutrition label verification and the knowledge on nutrition labeling had a significant negative correlation. Hence, it is of the opinion that education on properly reading nutrient information is necessary to enable adolescents to apply that in real life. Furthermore, labeling nutritional information on processed fred through a more comprehensive method is deemed necessary as a supporting measure.

The purpose of this study was to survey the status of the operation of site-based environmental education(EE) programs. This study surveyed 165 schools and organizations that operated site-based EE program in 2000 using a mail questionnaire and interviews. The response rate was 43%. The result indicated that awareness, participation, and attitude were considerably addressed, while knowledge and skills were addressed to a lesser degree. There were some difficulties in motivating students and in considering the developmental stage of participants. For programing the site-based EE, financial support and expert knowledge of EE were needed most of all. Learning materials for various and hand-on activities were also needed. The affective domain, such as awareness and attitude, showed marked improvement in the outcomes of the programs. Direct experience and sensitivity, connection with school education, regional characteristics were sufficiently addressed in the programs, while cultural aspects, fairness, originality, and accuracy were not. Flexibility in performing the programs and less rigidity of report on operations were needed. Through the discussion of the results, some improvements for the operation of site-based EE program were suggested.

Objective: To evaluate the implementation of screening colonoscopy amongst first-degree relatives (FDRs) of patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) in Turkey. Materials and Methods: A total of 400 first-degree relatives (mean(SD)age: 42.5(12.7) years, 55.5% were male) of 136 CRC patients were included in this cross-sectional questionnaire based survey. Data on demographic characteristics, relationship to patient and family history for malignancy other than the index case were evaluated in the FDRs of patients as were the data on knowledge about and characteristics related to the implementation of screening colonoscopy using a standardized questionnaire form. Results: The mean(SD) age at diagnosis of CRC in the index patients was 60.0(14.0) years, while mean(SD) age of first degree relatives was 42.5(12.7) years. Overall 36.3% of relatives were determined to have knowledge about colonoscopy. Physicians (66.9%) were the major source of information. Screening colonoscopy was recommended to 19.5% (n=78) of patient relatives, while 48.7% (n=38) of individuals participated in colonoscopy procedures, mostly (57.9%) one year after the index diagnosis. Screening colonoscopy revealed normal findings in 25 of 38 (65.8%) cases, while precancerous lesions were detected in 26.3% of screened individuals. In 19.0% of FDRs of patients, there was a detected risk for Lynch syndrome related cancer. Conclusions: In conclusion, our findings revealed that less than 20% of FDRs of patients had received a screening colonoscopy recommendation; only 48.7% participated in the procedure with detection of precancerous lesions in 26.3%. Rise of awareness about screening colonoscopy amongst patients with CRC and first degree relatives of patients and motivation of physicians for targeted screening would improve the participation rate in screening colonoscopy by FDRs of patients with CRC in Turkey.

Objective: To survey knowledge about the factors that influence fertility in a reproductive-age population living in an urban area. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted using a questionnaire-based survey among both males and females aged 18-45 years living in the Bangkok metropolitan area. Results: The mean age of the participants was $26.8{\pm}7.2years$ (male, 41.9%; female, 58.1%). Of the participants, 53.1% had an undergraduate degree and 57.1% were single. Only one-fifth of the participants correctly identified the age when fecundity declines in male and female, the definition of infertility, and the period during the menstrual cycle with the highest chance of pregnancy. Approximately three-fourths of the participants correctly identified that cigarette smoking, alcohol consumption, and sexually transmitted infections affect fertility. Conclusion: A considerable knowledge gap about the factors that influence fertility was identified in reproductive-age individuals in an urban area of Thailand. This issue should be urgently addressed by promoting fertility awareness through education, discussions about social perceptions regarding fertility, and reliable sources of knowledge.
This research surveyed 324 college students majored dental hygiene in Gwangju and Chonnam province to analyze their awareness and degree of practice about infection control. Through the study for recognition about infectious disease related with the grade, the sophomore students are the group who is the most aware. In addition, the study shows students who experienced teeth cleaning have high degree of awareness (p<0.05). The research of perception about infectious disease based on experiences for vaccinations and education about infection prevention says hepatitis B has the highest rate when it comes to level of occurrence risk and tuberculosis and acquired immune deficiency syndrome are the lowest (p<0.05). According to the research, the group who had vaccination, knowledge about infection prevention and experience for scaling shows high practice rate for hand washing according to whether students receive protective inoculation or not. Depending on what the result were, since student learned about infection control has high degree of recognition and practice about infection management if we could emphasize the importance to students through regulative education about infection control and then increase the degree of practice, it would make big contributions to the effective infection control.

We extract the symptom of panic disorder from the context awareness environment. It extracts body context information through natural movement that exists in everyday life and uses a component of panic disorder. The ontology theory can be used to provide information on the degree of symptoms of panic disorder through inference process. For the components of panic disorder to the information processing based on ontology are defined as Classes. Panic disorder index is expressed through ontology modeling so that the condition of panic disorder can be known. The derivation of panic disorder component and panic disorder index will enable context awareness based information service for panic disorder. The context information is periodically synchronized with the context awareness on based device. Panic disorder can be used to improve the lifestyle of panic disorder.
The purpose of this study was to identify the degree of awareness and need for dental health insurance of parents with children under 12 years of age, and provide it as basic data for the development of the dental health insurance system in the future.
