Purpose : This narrative research study aimed to identify the degree of correlation between hospice awareness and knowledge of and attitude toward advance directives. Methods : A survey was conducted from July 5 to July 15, 2018 with 210 adults in C city, Gyeongsangnam-do. Using the SPSS 21.0 program, the data analysis methods utilized were the independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe, and Pearson's correlation coefficients. Results : The degree of hospice awareness was measured according to the general characteristics of the subjects, which were as follows: heard about economic level, importance of religion, heard of hospice, heard about advance directives, and intention to execute advance directives. The knowledge of advance directives had significant differences by age, hospitalization experience, religion, and being the final decision maker for a family problem. The attitude toward advance directives differed significantly by marriage status and the intention to write an advance directives. The relationship between hospice awareness and knowledge and attitude toward advance directives showed a positive significant correlation (r=.47, p<001). The relationship between knowledge of and attitude toward advance directives also indicated a positive significant correlation (r=.20, p=.005). Conclusion : This study provided basic data to inform promotion of hospice awareness and an educational intervention about advance directives.
Purpose: This study was done to investigate the relationship of knowledge related to disease, awareness and practice of inhaler use in asthmatic patients. Method: The participants in this research were 124 patients with asthma who used inhalers, and were admitted to hospital or attended outpatient asthmatic clinics. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire which consisted of demographic characteristics, illness-related characteristics, and tools to measure knowledge of disease, awareness and practice related to inhaler use. Results: Knowledge related to disease was statistically significantly different for age (p<.001) and marital status (p=.017). The mean score for awareness of inhaler use was significantly higher than the mean score for practice in inhaler use (p<.001). There were significant correlations between awareness and practice of inhaler use (p<.001), knowledge related to disease and awareness of inhaler use (p<.001), and knowledge related to disease and practice of inhaler use (p<.001). Conclusion: Results indicate that due to the variation in degree of illness in patients with asthma, there is a need to develop appropriate education programs for people of different ages and also precise ${\alpha}$ II content for use of inhalers method of checking capacity washing and storing as well as directions about different kinds of the inhalers.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of Vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE) knowledge and awareness with VRE infection control in compliance with VRE infection control among nurses in intensive care units. Method: Participants (N=154) were recruited in B city from August 2007 to October 2007. Data were analyzed with SPSS PC+. Result: The degree of VRE knowledge of the participants was 12.41 out of the total score, 17; that of awareness with VRE infection control was 3.87 out of the total score, 4; that of compliance with VRE infection control 3.75 out of the perfect score, 4. A significantly positive relationship between awareness of VRE infection control and compliance with VRE infection control has been observed. Awareness with VRE infection control and type of intensive care unitpredicted 21.1% of the variance in compliance with VRE infection control. Conclusion: The study indicated that awareness with VRE infection control has the most important impact on the compliance with VRE infection control for the participants. Based on the finding, a suggestion is made to continue the research on VRE knowledge and nosocomical infection on the subject of nurse and nurse managers who are responsible for infection control in a medical institution.
This study is to enforce to ready basic data of effective dental education program and no smoking and no drinking program for high school students who do smoking and drinking, executed investigation by own recording way using smoking and questionnaire consisted of actual conditions and caries prevention awareness and dental health knowledge degree of drinking to some man high school. Analyzes result that total 487 people respond in SPSS WIN 13.0 programs and got following sequence. Result of this study is as following. 1. Mans high school students had more students who do not than a drinking student and main current received most soju. Third-year student appeared by thing which receive a lot of soju than 1 or 2 class student but different other difference was not seen by class. 2. Mans high school students had more students who do not than a smoking student and a student who smoke more than 3 years was the most. I can know was old since third-year student smokes than 1 or 2 class student. 3. Also, a student who do not smoke by smoking availability was high knowledge degree for a caries than a done student but difference that keep in mind statistically was not seen. 7. It was no difference that keep in mind by drinking availability, but a student who do not smoke by smoking availability was high relation knowledge degree with food and a caries than a smoked student, and I was shown difference that keep in mind according to smoking availability(t=-2.03, p<0.05). 8. Awareness and synthetic estimation degree of knowledge degree a student who do not smoke than a smoked student mouth knowledge degree high, and I was shown difference that keep in mind according to smoking availability(t=-2.03, p<0.05). When see as result such as singularity, family, school, all social institutions may have to help by national business coming and try so that can become national business based on special know-how for development of effective and epoch-making education program as quickly as possible.
본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생의 환자 개인정보보호에 대한 지식, 인식 및 실천정도를 알아보고, 이들 간의 관계를 파악하기 위해 시도되었다. 자료수집은 2019년 11월 1일부터 11월 8일까지 C도에 소재한 간호대학생 262명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료분석 방법은 t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson 상관분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 일반적 특성 중 학년과 환자 개인정보보호에 대한 교육여부는 지식, 인식 및 실천정도에 영향을 미치는 요인이었다. 환자 개인정보보호의 지식, 인식 및 실천은 서로 유의한 양의 상관관계에 있었다. 그러므로 간호대학생의 환자 개인정보보호에 대한 실천을 높이기 위해 지식과 인식의 향상을 보장하는 교육프로그램 개발 및 검증이 필요하다.
This study was designed to investigate the relationships between nutrition education, nutrition awareness and nutrition knowledge of school food service employees. We analyzed 288 self-administered questionnaires. Most of the employees (89.8%) were with contract-managed food services, 45.1% were $41{\sim}50$ years old, and 45.4% had chef certification. Two-thirds of the employees received nutrition education on 'nutritionally balanced diet' and 'sources of calcium', whereas less than 50% received education on 'problems with carbohydrates', 'functions of iron', 'deficiency and sources of iron'. The degree of nutrition awareness was generally higher than the level of nutrition education experience. The mean nutrition knowledge score was 11.7 out of 20 possible points, The majority of employees correctly identified 'sources of calcium (91.8%)', 'functions of carbohydrates (91.4%)', 'sources of cholesterol (91.0%)', and 'problems with lipids (90.4%)'; less than 50% correctly answered 'sources of proteins (18.9%)', 'functions of iron (27.9%)', 'recommended dietary allowances (32.0%)', 'functions of lipids (40.2%)', and 'sources of vitamins (44.3%)'. A chi-square analysis revealed that the employees' actual knowledge did not differ significantly by nutrition education - with the exception of three topics; 'recommended dietary allowances', 'changes in vitamins during cooking', 'functions of water' - or by their nutrition awareness. Nutrition knowledge scores did not differ by sex, decreased with age, increased with academic background, and increased in careers of >10 years or that were contract managed. There were significant correlations between nutrition education scores and nutrition awareness scores (p<0.001); nutrition knowledge scores and nutrition education scores (p<0.001); nutrition knowledge scores and nutrition awareness scores (p<0.001).

Security has been considered one of the most critical issues for managing IT resources in many organizations. Despite a growing interest and extensive research on security at various levels, little research has focused on the comparison of security knowledge levels between different cultures. The current study investigates and compares the security knowledge level between Korea and the U.S. Based on the literature review of spyware, Hofstede's cultural dimensions, and security knowledge, this study identifies three constructs (i.e., security familiarity, spyware awareness, and spyware knowledge) to examine the difference of security knowledge levels between Korea and the U.S. Six hundred ninety-six respondents from Korea and the U.S. participated in the survey, and an in-depth analysis based on analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was carried out. The results show that the levels of security familiarity, spyware awareness, and spyware knowledge are significantly lower in Korea than in the U.S., as expected. These findings present a significant association between national culture and security knowledge, and the degree of individualism (or collectivism) plays an especially critical role in the perception of security. A number of implications for academia and practitioners emerge. Limitations and future research directions are discussed in the conclusion.
We conducted this study to compare the awareness and attitude of Busan housewives about consuming marine products. The survey was conducted from April 10 to May 31, 2019 by using a questionnaire. The degree of preference of seafood was higher among individuals in their 40s than those in the other age groups. Among the women in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 70s, the reason for liking seafood was 'taste', and for those in their 60s it was 'nutrition'. Overall the most common reason for disliking seafood was the 'fishy smell (37.4%)'. Conception degree of nutritive value of seafood was higher among individuals in their 30s and 40s than that for those individuals in their 50s, 60s and 70s. As for the price of seafood, the wives over 40s thought seafood was more expensive than did those wives in their 30s. The younger the individuals were, the lower was the perceived degree of safety was 49.8% of the subjects reported that the main concern for purchase was 'freshness'. The perceived degree of safety for imported seafood was better for the wives in their 60s and 70s than that for those wives in their 30s, 40s and 50s. The confidence level for local Korean seafood was higher for the wives in their 60s than that for the wives in their 50s. The degree of preference for seafood was moderate overall, except for Jellyfish. Age was positively correlated with conception for safety and dietary attitude (P<0.01), whereas age was negatively correlated with monthly food expenditure, nutrition knowledge and intake requirements (P<0.01). Preference for seafood was positively correlated with conception for safety (P<0.05), nutrition knowledge (P<0.05), dietary attitude (P<0.01), awareness for nutritive value (P<0.01) and intake requirements (P<0.01). Laws and regulations should be reinforced in order to promote eating more seafood and periodic research to determine the actual amount of consumed seafood and people's preferences should be conducted.
This study was to conducted on the general public living in the Busan area to determine their knowledge and awareness of radiation. A questionnaire written in Google Form was distributed, and 193 questionnaires were analyzed. Independent samples t-test and one-way ANOVA were conducted to verify differences in variables according to the characteristics of the study subjects. Correlation analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between variables. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to confirm the correlation between variables. As a result of the study, firstly, The knowledge and awareness of radiation and confidence level of radiological information were found to be high among men and unmarried group. Second, as a result of analysis according to occupation, it was found that students had a positive perception of radiation. Third, the Internet and TV are the most commonly used channels for obtaining information about radiation. Lastly, the thing that has the greatest impact on the awareness of radiation is the reliability of the obtained radiation information. In order to relieve excessive anxiety about radiation and to gain a proper understanding of radiation, the reliability of information about radiation is important. Therefore, it is believed that active efforts are needed to provide accurate information about radiation by utilizing media that are widely used by citizens.
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this study was to find out the level of knowledge on sugar-related nutrition among mothers with preschool children. SUBJECTS/METHODS: The study conducted a survey on 350 mothers whose children attended daycare. The dietary lives of the children and the nutritional knowledge of the mothers on sugar were checked. In order to analyze results, SPSS 18.0 was used. ANOVA and t-test were also performed to analyze recognition and educational needs. RESULTS: When the degree of nutritional knowledge was measured and analyzed, the results showed about 11 average points out of 15. The higher a group's nutritional knowledge, the better the dietary habits and activities were and the activities were more ccommon. The group with a low level of nutritional knowledge consumed more foods with high sugar content, but this difference was not statistically significant. Also the children from the group of mothers that provided nutritional education to their children were more likely to engage in better dietary habits and activities. CONCLUSIONS: 66.5% respondents did not know about policies to reduce sugar consumption, but most indicated that education on reducing sugar consumption is needed. Therefore, a government-driven search for efficient methods to campaign and publicize sugar reduction is needed in order to continuously provide appropriate education.
