  • The fiber reinforced composite material is widely used in the multi-industrial field where the weight reduction of the infrastructure is demanded because of their high specific modulus and specific strength. Pressure vessels using this composite material in comparison with conventional metal vessels can be applied in the field where lightweight and the high pressure are demanded from the defense and aerospace industry to rocket motor case due to the merits which are energy cutdown the weight reduction and decrease of explosive damage preceding to the sudden explosion which is generated by the pressure leakage condition). In this paper, for nonlinear finite element analysis of E-glass/epoxy filament winding composite pressure vessel receiving an internal pressure, the standard interpretation model is developed by using the ANSYS, general commercial software, which is verified as the accuracy and useful characteristic of the solution based on Auto LISP and ANSYS APDL. Both the preprocessor for doing exclusive analysis of filament winding composite pressure vessel and postprocessor that simplifies result of analysis have been developed to help the design engineers.

  • A new approach to systematically model aerodynamic coefficients using an adaptive sampling based wind tunnel testing considering cost is proposed. The Latin Hypercube design is used for selecting initial test points. The Gaussian Process (GP) is iteratively used during the experiment to determine additional experimental points that minimizes the uncertainty reduction per incremental cost. A numerical simulation based experiment was conducted using the static aerodynamic coefficient database a fighter aircraft, which demonstrated the validity of the proposed method.

  • The purpose of this research is to determine the dynamic Magnus effect data of a spinning projectile in wind-tunnel testing. In the present work, the high-speed wind-tunnel tests for the Magnus effect measurements were conducted on a 155-mm spin-stabilized projectile model in the Agency for Defense Development's Tri-Sonic Wind Tunnel at spin rates about 12,000 rpm. The test Mach numbers ranged from 0.7 to 2.0, and the angles of attack ranged from -4 to +10 deg. The validity of the wind-tunnel measurement techniques was evaluated by comparing them with the previous test results on the same configuration. The experimental results show that fair to good agreement is obtained with resonable accuracy.

  • An aeroelastic stability can be degraded due to an aeroelastic modeling error and a structural uncertainty. Therefore it is necessary to predict the aeroelastic stability boundary considering an aeroelastic modeling error and a structural uncertainty. Robust aeroelastic analysis was proposed to predict the aeroelastic stability boundary considering these error and uncertainty. In the present study, the robust aeroelastic modeling and analysis were performed by using the ${\mu}$ analysis technique and the aeroelastic model of the control fin with modal approach and MSA. The computer program for the robust aeroelastic analysis was developed and verified by comparing its results with those of conventional aeroelastic analysis methods.

  • The weapon-target assignment (WTA) problem is a matter of effectively allocating weapons to a number of threats. The WTA in a rapidly changing dynamic environment of engagement must take into account both of properties of the threat and the weapon and the effect of the previous decision. We propose a method of applying the Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Procedure (GRASP) algorithm, a kind of meta-heuristic method, to derive optimal solution for a dynamic WTA problem. Firstly, we define a dynamic WTA problem and formulate a mathematical model for applying the algorithm. For the purpose of the assignment strategy, the objective function is defined and time-varying constraints are considered. The dynamic WTA problem is then solved by applying the GRASP algorithm. The optimal solution characteristics of the formalized dynamic WTA problem are analyzed through the simulation, and the algorithm performance is verified via the Monte-Carlo simulation.

  • This paper identifies the factors affecting user satisfaction for the successful application of Smart-education in national defense recently at the national level and suggests the political implications through the empirical research to nurture creative talents globally. The study model was designed by setting the influencing factors on the user satisfaction of smart education. In order to verify the reliability of the measurement item, it was calculating the coefficient Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ and validity was verified by carrying out factor analysis. The empirical results of this doctoral dissertation as a Smart-education, factors affecting user satisfaction, content, management, internal organization, user characteristics, such as classified into five areas detailed factors as independent variables correlation analyzes were carried out factors influencing the most effective impact on training and user satisfactions were tested.

  • In this paper, a wideband circular polarizer operating in the frequency range of 6~18 GHz is designed and fabricated using a multilayer structure with meanderlines. A T matrix expression for the unit structure, which consists of meanderline, dielectric substrate and spacer, was derived using the boundary value solution. A proposed meanderline structure was modeled as an array of unit meanderline cell in order to apply the waveguide model with PEC and PMC boundary conditions. The calculation procedures to obtain an equivalent susceptance of the unit meanderline cell using HFSS was also suggested. Using a hybrid method, which combines the T matrix with the HFSS results, and cut-and-try method, a wideband circular polarizer with low insertion loss and good AR performance was designed. The fabricated polarizer has the return loss less than -10 dB within 92 % bandwidth, the average insertion loss less than -0.24 dB, and the average AR below 2.6 dB for full 3:1 bandwidth.

  • In this paper, we propose a inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR) rotational motion compensation(RMC) method to remove residual blurring caused by non-uniform rotational motion of a target. First, a range bin having an isolated scatterer is selected. Next, polynomial phase signal in the selected range bin is estimated by using both Fourier transform(FT) and polynomial-phase transform(PPT). Finally, a new slow time variable that uniformly samples radar signal along the aspect angle directions is defined by using the estimated phase signal, and we interpolate radar signal in terms of the new time variable. As a result, rotational motion to blurr ISAR images is removed, and focused ISAR images are obtained. Simulation results using battleship model validate the robustness and effectiveness of our proposed RMC method.

  • In this paper, we analyze the channel characteristics of the long distance air-ground wideband common data link and we propose a mathematical method to analyze the effect of narrowband and wideband interference of air-ground channel on the received signal of wideband data link. In this paper, we analyze the reception performance according to the communication distance using the proposed performance analysis method, and found out that the communication distance is limited by the narrowband and wideband interference of ground reflection wave. As a result of the performance analysis of the method of controlling the receiving antenna upward, not only the narrow band but also the wideband interference is effectively reduced, so that the communication distance is increased even in the existing wideband data link not including the equalizer.
