한국 고대 금속관의 발생과 그 교류에 관한 연구 (A Study of Occurrence and Alternating Current of a Matal Kwan in Korean Ancient Times)

  • The system and symbolizing ideologic meanings of the metallic Kwon in period of the Three-Kingdoms were comsidered by comparing to their cultural path and structal styles throughout the tree and the deer worship ideology. The results of this study are as followings; Firstly, the beginning of the Korean, mostly northern style was originated from metal tools of the Bronze age in BC 6c-7c. The maJ;lufature of the metallic adornment brought the pr-evailing use of metallic objects of craftwork after the supply of ironmongery. Secondly, the cultmal characteristics of the metallic Kwan in the kor-ean Peninsula were influenced f-rom the northern chinese tribes, Momg Go, Hung No, and Sien-pi who were transmitted from the scythian of the southern Russia having a prefenence for gold. Thir-dly, the metallic Kwon of the Kogmgo and the Baekje era was ideologically based on the ar-t of Buddism of the pattern of blazing flame, the carved pattern of flower- of herb, and the honey. sukle which were tramsmitted to china thr-ough the silk noad. Fourthly, the metallic K wam of the silla era consisted of the tree and the antler types in closely nelated to the tree and the deer ideology which were based on the background of shamanism. It should be raid that the metallic Kwan of the silla esa are connected to the type of nor-them ancient K wan. Lasthy, the metallic Kwan-Mo of the Kaja esa was mosthy original type of flower of herb even if kome of these ar-e similiar to the tree adornment type of silla. This type of flower of herb in based on the scythian type with a statue im silveer founded at Alexandnopol in the southern russia.

Review of Cervi Cornu Parvum Pharmacopuncture in Korean Medicine

  • Objective: The endpoint of this review is to investigate existing studies of Cervi cornu parvum (CCP) pharmacopuncture within Korean medicine journals in order to present a better research method in the future. Methods: We searched all the papers through six Korean electrical databases that included the title of "Cervi cornu parvum pharmacopuncture" or "Cervi cornu parvum aqua-acupuncture". Articles that had been published until December 2012 were largely divided into experimental studies and clinical studies. Results: Fifty-three (53) experimental studies and six clinical studies were found. The number of published articles has been constantly increasing. Many of the experimental studies demonstrated anti-inflammatory effects for arthritis, and most of the clinical studies dealt with musculoskeletal problems. Conclusion: Various therapeutically significant effects of the CCP pharmacopuncture have been found through this review; however, more systematic clinical studies on the CCP pharmacopuncture seem to be necessary to substantially support its clinical effects.

일제강점기 매약을 통해 본 한약의 제형 변화와 새로운 한약 처방의 경향성에 대한 고찰 (A study of how proprietary medicines during the Japanese colonial period led to transforms in Korean medicine and Korean medicine prescriptions)

  • In this study, we examine the changes to Korean medicine that occurred when 'proprietary medicines' (賣藥) swept through the pharmaceutical market during the Japanese occupation (1910-1945 C.E.). Proprietary medicine during the Japanese colonial period took various forms including ready-made, over-the-counter, patent, and nostrum type pharmaceuticals. This paper examines how Korean medicine, which was the dominant form of medicine during the Joseon Dynasty, was forced to adapt to the rise of proprietary medicines. We found that the prescription of Korean medicine herbal decoctions became more like proprietary medicine in the way that they were formulated. In addition, prescriptions in Korean medicine books were reformulated with prescriptions and medicines from outside the tradition. Proprietary medicines, many of which were made with secret recipes handed down in a family, also attracted attention. Such prescriptions were made famous through advertisements and further influenced future Korean medicine doctors. New prescriptions took advantage of the trust and authority existing in traditional Korean medicine by introducing ginseng and traditional medicinal herbs such as deer antler velvet (鹿茸, Cervi Parvum Cornu). This paper argues that proprietary medicine of the Japanese colonial period distorted the concept of traditional herbal medicine.

생쥐에서 녹용약침액이 자가항원제시형 Cathepsin S 활성의 저해와 류마티스 관절염 억제에 미치는 효과 (Inhibitory Effect of Deer Antler Aqua-acupunture (DAA) on Cathepsin S Activity and Rheumatoid Arthritis in Rats)

  • 목적 : 시스테인 단백분해 효소인 cathepsin는 인간과 생쥐의 항원제시세포에서 II형 주적합항원 불변사슬(MHC class II invariant chain)의 분해에 관여한다. 본 연구는 녹용 약침액이 류마티스 관절염 생쥐 모델의 골조직(연골과 활액) 유래 cathepsin 활성에 미치는 영향을 검정하였다. 방법 : 관절염 동물모델은 BALb/c계 생쥐를 생후 3일에 흉선 적출(3d-Tx)을 하여 만들었다. 동물모델의 골조직, 임파절세포, 비장 등을 녹용처치군과 대조군으로 나누어 cathepsin의 활성도 및 자가항원 특이(C-II-specific) T-세포의 활성도를 비교 분석하였다. 결과 : 각 장기에서 cathepsin S의 활성은 녹용약침 처치군에서 농도 의존적으로 유의성 있게 억제되었고, T-세포 특이 자가항원반응은 녹용약침 처치군의 임파절 세포에서 유의성있게 억제되었다. 그리고 T-세포 특이 자가항원 반응의 불활성화에는 녹용 10~20ug/ml의 용량으로 충분하였다. 결론 : 이러한 실험결과는 녹용 약침액이 cathepsin S를 선택적으로 억제시켜 류마티스 관절염과 같은 자가면역 질환에 유효한 치료약물로 사용될 수 있음을 시사한다.

엘크사슴 녹용의 조기 절각에 따른 성분변화 분석 (Analysis of Component Changes According to Early Cutting of Elk Velvet Antlers)

  • 엘크 녹용의 부위별 및 성장일수별 성분변화를 측정하기 위하여 각각 녹용 성장일수가 40일령, 60일령의 녹용을 채취하였다. 채취된 샘플은 부위별로 분골, 상대, 중대, 하대로 구분하여 수분, 조단백질, 조지방, 조회분, 조섬유, pH, 무기질(Ca, P, K, Mg, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, Pb), 지방산 및 아미노산 함량을 분석하였다. 부위별로는 분골에서 조단백질, 조지방 함량이 높았으며, 하대에서 건물, 조회분 함량이 높게 나타났다. 조단백질은 상대에서 성장일수에 따라 증가하였으나 하대에서는 성장일수가 경과할수록 조단백질 함량은 낮아졌다. 반면에 조섬유, 조회분 함량은 증가하였다. pH는 분골에서 수치가 낮게 나타났다. 무기물에서는 칼슘(Ca), 인(P), 칼륨(K)이 중대에서 성장일수별로 유의적인 차이가 나타났다. 포화지방산은 함량이 증가하고, 불포화지방산은 감소하는 경향이 있었으나 두 성분 모두 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 대부분의 아미노산은 60일령에 높았으나 이소류신(Ile)은 60일령에서 낮았다. 이 결과는 조기에 절각을 진행할 경우에 녹용의 성분함량 변화에 대한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

염화칼슘 주사량이 품종별 암사슴의 뿔 발생 유도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Calcium Chloride Injection on the Induction of Antlerogenesis by Breed in Female Deer)

  • 본 연구는 CaCl2 용액의 주사량이 품종별 암사슴의 뿔 발생 유도에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여 꽃사슴, 레드디어 및 엘크 암컷 각 6두에 대해 30% CaCl2 용액의 주사량을 1ml?, 1.5ml? 및 2ml?의 3처리구로 나누어 전두골 좌, 우 양쪽 골막에 3월과 7월 두 차례 주사한 후 사슴뿔 발생 유도율, 사슴뿔 생산량, 발육성적을 조사하였다. 품종별 암사슴의 뿔 발생은 꽃사슴이 1ml? 처리구의 한 마리 한쪽에서만 발생하였고, 레드디어는 2ml? 처리구의 한 마리 한쪽에서만 유도되어 꽃사슴과 레드디어의 뿔 발생 유도율은 8.3%였다. 엘크 암사슴은 1ml? 처리구에서는 뿔 발생이 일어나지 않았으며, 1.5ml?와 2ml? 처리구에서는 모두 뿔 발생이 유도되어 유도율은 67%였다. 뿔 생산량은 꽃사슴의 경우 길이 21cm?이고 무게 70g 이었으며, 레드디어는 길이 18.5cm?에 무게 83g의 뿔을 생산하였다. 엘크는 3월 1.5ml? 처리구의 길이가 평균 34±3cm?이었고 무게는 526~1,008g이며, 2ml? 처리구는 길이가 평균 39±8cm?, 무게는 693~1,379g의 범위에 있었다. 엘크의 2ml? 처리구는 7월에 주사한 것이 뿔 길이와 뿔 생산량에서 3월의 것보다 적었다. 암사슴 뿔의 발육은 엘크의 경우 주사 후 20일경에 길이 0.5~1cm? 정도의 돌기로 자랐고, 40일까지는 유발된 상처와 함께 1~3cm?정도의 완만한 성장을 보였다. 본격적인 성장은 처리 후 60일경이 지나야 일어났고, 120일경에 절각을 하였을 때 뿔 길이는 28~44cm?의 범위에 있었다. 생산된 암사슴 뿔을 세로로 절단하였을 때 전체 길이의 위쪽 70%는 골화가 되지 않은 상태였다. 암사슴의 뿔 발생 유도는 번식성적에는 전혀 영향을 미치지 않았다. 봄에 처리한 사슴의 재생 뿔 발생은 불규칙하게 일어났고, 재생 뿔 발생률은 평균 45%였으며, 주기가 진행될수록 길이와 생산량은 줄어드는 경향을 보였다. 결론적으로 30% CaCl2 용액의 주사량을 조절하여 처리하면 꽃사슴, 레드디어 및 엘크의 암컷에서 뿔 발생을 유도할 수가 있으며, 엘크 암사슴의 뿔 발생 유도를 위한 최적 주사량은 1.5~2ml? 범위였다.

KHG26792 Inhibits Melanin Synthesis in Mel-Ab Cells and a Skin Equivalent Model

  • The purpose of this study is to characterize the effects of KHG26792 (3-(naphthalen-2-yl(propoxy)methyl)azetidine hydrochloride), a potential skin whitening agent, on melanin synthesis and identify the underlying mechanism of action. Our data showed that KHG26792 significantly reduced melanin synthesis in a dose-dependent manner. Additionally, KHG26792 downregulated microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) and tyrosinase, the rate-limiting enzyme in melanogenesis, although tyrosinase was not inhibited directly. KHG26792 activated extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), whereas an ERK pathway inhibitor, PD98059, rescued KHG26792-induced hypopigmentation. These results suggest that KHG26792 decreases melanin production via ERK activation. Moreover, the hypopigmentary effects of KHG26792 were confirmed in a pigmented skin equivalent model using Cervi cornus Colla (deer antler glue), in which the color of the pigmented artificial skin became lighter after treatment with KHG26792. In summary, our findings suggest that KHG26792 is a novel skin whitening agent.

녹용(鹿茸), 홍화자(紅花子) 단일 및 혼합 물 추출물( 抽出物)의 파골세포(破骨細胞) 분화(分化) 억제(抑制)와 골흡수(骨吸收) 억제(抑制) 효과(效果) (Inhibitory Effects of Water Extract of Cervi parvum cornu, Carthami tinctorii fructus and Their Combination on Osteoclast Differentiation and Bone Resorption)

  • Cervi parvum cornu (Deer Antler) and Carthami tinctorii fructus (Also known as Carthami seed) are widely used for treating osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis. In this study, We found out that the water extract of Cervi parvum cornu(WECPC), Carthami tinctorii fructus(WECTF) and their combination have effects of suppressing the RANKL-induced osteoclast differentiation. We assayed mRNA expression levels of NFATc1, c-Fos, TRAP and GAPDHS from bone marrow macrophages(BMMs) by means of RT-PCR. Similarly, the protein expression levels of NFATc1, c-Fos, MAPKs and $\beta$-actin in cell lysates were analyzed by means of Western blotting. then we determined the anti-osteoporotic effects of WECPC, WECTF and their combination using Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced bone-loss mouse. WECPC, WECTF and their combination showed remarkable inhibition on RANKL-treated osteoclast differentiation without cytotoxicity. WECPC suppressed degradation of I-${\kappa}B$. WECPC, WECTF and their combination down-regulated the induction of c-Fos and NFATc1 by RANKL. Lastly, in vivo data showed that WECPC, WECTF and their combination rescued the bone erosion by LPS treatment. Thus, these results demonstrate that WECPC, WECTF and their combination can be efficacious remedies for bone-loss diseases such as osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis.

삼귀용탕(蔘歸茸湯)이 정상 흰쥐 및 Streptozotocin으로 유도된 당뇨병 흰쥐의 혈당에 대한 영향 (Effects of Samguiyong-tang on the Blood Glucose Levels in Normal Rats or Diabetic Rats Induced by Streptozotocin)

  • Objectives : In order to evaluate the effect of Samguiyong-tang (SGYT) on diabetes, we prepared two types of Samguiyong-tang (Type-I and -II) which was composed of three kinds of oriental drug such as Ginseng, Angelica gigantis radix and Deer antler. Type I was traditional hot-water extract prepared from three kinds of drug, and Type II was the mixture of ethanol-extract of ginseng and hot-water extract prepared from the other two drugs. Methods : We tested the effects of SGYT on the blood glucose levels in normal rats by the method of glucose tolerance test. And also examined the effects of SGYT on the levels in normal rats or diabetic rats induced by Streptozotocin during 20 days. Results : 1. In the course of oral glucose tolerance test, the blood glucose level decreased by administration of SGYT I or II in normal rats. 2. In the course administration of SGYT during 20 days in normal rats, the blood glucose levels decreased until day 4 by Type I or Type II, but thereafter the level was recovered to the normal. 3. In the course administration of SGYT during 20 days in the diabetic rats induced by streptozotocin, Type I (SGYT) had some effect on the blood glucose levels only at 12 day, and Type II (SGYT) decreased the levels from 6th day and so on, significantly. Conclusions : The results suggested that SGYT II had some decreasing effects on the blood glucose levels in diabetic rats induced by Streptozotocin.
