In hybrid renewable power systems, the use of a multiple-input dc/dc converter (MIC) leads to simpler circuit and lower cost, when compared to the conventional use of several single-input converters. This paper proposed a novel three-input buck/boost/buck-boost converter, which can be used in applications with various values of input voltage. The energy sources in this converter can deliver power to the load either simultaneously or individually in one switching period. The steady relationship, the power management strategy and the small-signal circuit model of this converter have been derived. With decoupling technology, modeling and regulator design can be obtained under multi-loop control modes. Finally, three generating methods of a multiple-input buck/boost/buck-boost converter is given, and this method can be extended to the other multiple-input dc/dc converters.

Model updating method is known to the area to correct finite element models by the results of the experimental modal analysis. Most common methods in model updating depend on a parametric model of the structure. In this case, the number of parameters is normally smaller than that of modal data obtained from an experiment. In order to overcome this limitation, many researchers are trying to get modal data as many as possible to date. 1 want to name this method multiple modified-system generation method. These Methods consist of direct system modification method and feedback controller method. The direct system modification Is to add a mass or stiffness on the original structure or perturb the boundary conditions. The feedback controller method is to make the closed food system with sensor and actuator so as to get the closed loop modal data. In this paper, we need to focus on the feedback controller method because of its simplicity. Several methods related the feedback controller methods are virtual passive controller (VPC) sensitivity enhancement controller (SEC) and mode decoupling controller (MDC). Among them, we will apply MDC to the model updating problem. MDC has various advantages compared with other controllers, such as VPC and SEC. To begin with, only the target mode can be changed without changing modal property of non-target modes. In addition, it is possible to fix any modes if the number of sensors is equal to that of the system modes. Finally, the required control power to achieve desired change of target mode is always lower than those of other methods such as VPC. However, MDC can make the closed loop system unstable when using incomplete modal data. So we need to take action to avoid undesirable instability from incomplete modal data. In this paper, we address the method to design the unique and robust MDD obtained from incomplete modal data. The associated simulation will be Incorporated to demonstrate the usefulness of this method.

A novel concept of feedback loop design for modal test and model updating is proposed. This method uses the closed-loop natural frequency information for parameter modification to overcome the problems associated with the conventional method employing the modal sensitivity matrix. To obtain new modal information from closed-loop system, controllers should be effective in changing modal data while guaranteeing the stability of closed-loop system. But it is very hard to guarantee the stability of the closed-loop system with non-collocated sensor and actuator set. In this research, we proposed a controller called mode-decoupling controller that can change a target mode as much as the designer wants guaranteeing the stability of closed-loop system. This controller can be computed Just using measured open-loop modeshape matrix. A simulation based on time domain input/output data is performed to check the feasibility of proposed control method.

The purpose of this paper is realizing a rotor-flux-oriented indirect vector controller of an induction motor to compensate the effects of the ironloss generally ignored in the vector controller. Using general ironloss model of induction motor, the vector controller and new decoupling circuit considering ironloss is designed and realized. Also, slip, magnetizing current, stator current and decoupling circuits derived from ironloss model are compared with them from the model not including ironloss and the effects are scrutinized. Finally the total algorithm are realized in 2.2kW servo drive and its effectiveness is verified.

Having flexibility in a manipulator will degrade trajectory tracking control and manipulator tip positioning. In practice, however, constraints imposed by various operating requirements, will render the presence of such flexibility unavoidable. The dynamic analysis of the flexible manipulator is essential in designing proper control systems. A flexible manipulator consists of infinite number of elastic modes and the modes are usually coupled to each other. For the practicality, however, it is usually assumed that the flexible system consists of finite number of elastic modes and the modes are decoupled. These assumptions result in a linear and decoupled mathematical model of the flexible manipulator and simplify the analysis of the dynamic behavior and the design of the control system. The decoupling and linearization of the flexible link, however, has been assumed without in depth analysis. This paper focuses on the analysis of the significance of the non-linear coupling factors.
This paper describes a 3-DOF attitude control of a small model helicopter in hover through explicit decoupling and adaptive control scheme. A model helicopter mounted on gimbal-stand is considered as a system that has 3 independent SISO systems representing motions about roll, pitch and yaw axis and these subsystems are identified from the test flight data. In this consideration, the contribution of others to yaw channel is neglected since it is relatively small. Two PID controllers based on Ziegler-Nichols method are designed for roll pitch channels independently. Also, adaptive fuzzy tuner is designed and applied to those PID controllers to cope with coupling effects between each channel and system uncertainties due to variation of engine RPM. The experimental results show that the attitude control ...

In this paper, a integrated phase-locked loop(PLL) as a clock multiphase generator for a high speed serial link is designed. The designed PLL keeps the same bandwidth and damping factor by using programmable current mirror in the whole operation frequency range. Also, the close-loop transfer function and VCO's phase-noise transfer function of the designed PLL are obtained with circuit netlists. The self impedance on board-mounted chip is calculated according to sizes and positions of decoupling capacitors. Especially, the detailed self-impedance analysis is carried out between frequency ranges represented the maximum gain in the close-loop transfer function and the maximum gain in the VCO's phase noise transfer function. We shows PLL's jitter characteristics by decoupling capacitor's sizes and positions from this result. The designed PLL has the wide operating range of 0.4GHz to 2GHz in operating voltage of 1.8V and it is designed 0.18-um CMOS process. The reference clock is 100MHz and PLL power consumption is 17.28mW in 1.2GHz.
This paper analyzes the dynamics and nature of regional business cycle synchronization for East Asian countries in the period of 2000:Q1-2011:Q4. Estimating a dynamic two-factor model extracts the common factor and the nation-specific factor from both the macroeconomic aggregates and plausible driving forces of regional business cycles. Evidence for regional business cycle synchronization is particularly strong for Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines, while Japan shows weak evidence of regional synchronization. On the other hand, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and China are decoupling from regional business cycles. The driver of monetary aggregate is the most significant determinant of regional fluctuations of macroeconomic aggregates, whereas oil price and productivity are on average important driving forces of nation-specific fluctuations of real economic activities.

For the characterization of arbitrary shaped printed circuit board, lossy transmission line grid model based on SPICE netlist and analytical plane model based on the segmentation method are proposed in this paper. Two methods are compared with an arbitrary shaped power/ground plane. Furthermore, design considerations for the complete power distribution network structure are discussed to ensure the maximum value of the PDN impedance is low enough across the desired frequency range and to guide decoupling capacitor selection.

In this paper, we suggest the high efficient control method based on general PI control law to control the refrigeration system of the ship effectively. In the variable speed refrigeration system, the capacity and the superheat are controlled by inverters and electronic expansion valves respectively for saving energy and improving cost performance. Thus, we propose decoupling model to eliminate the interfering at first. Next, we design PI controller to control capacity and superheat independently. Finally the control performance was investigated through some experiments. The experiments results show that the PI control design can obtain good control performance deal with the varied control reference and thermal load.
