This paper presents a method of constructing the switching function using edge-valued decision diagrams. The proposed method is as following. The edge-valued decision diagram is a new data structure type of decision diagram which is recently used in constructing the digital logic systems based on the graph theory. Next, we apply edge-valued decision diagram to function minimization of digital logic systems. The proposed method has the visible, schematic and regular properties.

Recently school food service operations are confronted with the wide spread pressures for accountability and the need to increase productivity. This paper is concerned with the make-or-buy decision framework for school food service systems considering the multi-attributes in the decision making. For the purpose of considering the multi-attributes analysis method in decision making for the school foodservice, we developed a make-or-buy decision framework using the multi-attribute analysis method, analytic hierarchy process, AHP method for school food service system. Finally, we developed a systematic and practical solution builder for a three-step decision support system in the view of 1) brainstorming for the idea generation, 2) analytic hierarchy process, AHP as a multi-attribute structure ed analysis method, and 3) aggregation logic model to integrate the results of reviewers. We developed web based program and applied it to a school foodservice problem.

The paper aims to investigate the impact of presenting statements of cash flow using the direct method and the indirect method on loan decision by credit officers at Vietnamese banks. The data was collected from 150 credit officers of commercial banks in Vietnam based on the questionnaire about making loan decision when the cash flow statement is presented in different methods, namely, direct and indirect methods. This research uses T-tests to check whether using the direct or indirect method affects the accurate calculation of loan criteria, affects the loan decision by credit officers, and compare these two methods in the aspects of information provision. The research has pointed out that: 1) the direct method helps the calculation of indicators related to loans more accurately; 2) credit officers say that, while the direct method of presenting cash flow statement provides clearer information, the use of either the direct method or the indirect method does not affect the banks' loan decision. Since then, the author recommends that cash flow statements should be provided with information in a direct method to present the information needed for loan decision more accurately so as to improve the quality of cash flow statement.

Recently a multi-attribute structure analysis method is one of the evident areas of important points in the decision support system analysis. This research developed an internet/intranet-based solution builder for a three-step decision support system using fuzzy-AHP in the view of 1) brainstorming far the idea generation, 2) fuzzy-AHP (fuzzy analytic hierarchy process) as a multi-attribute structured analysis method and 3) aggregation logic model to integrate the results of individual analysis. We applied this decision support system to the make-or-buy decision problem for school foodservice system considering the multi-attributes in the decision making. A computer program is developed and demonstrated it internet/intranet-based decision problem. It was known that this solution builder provides decision makers a good tool for mate-of-buy group decision making.

This paper presents an analysis of the impact of the causal looping method to the Korean middle managers' decision-making processes. The sample included the observations of decisions made by 70 groups with 5 to 7 members each. The results showed that the causal looping method was a strong device to help Korean managers followed value-focused decision processes, as opposite to alternative-focuses ones. The lessons from this study suggest a direction for the development of the education method to improve group decision-making processes.

This paper addresses the data classification using the induction of decision trees. A weakness of other techniques of induction of decision trees is that decision trees are too large because they construct decision trees until leaf nodes have a single class. Our study include both overcoming this weakness and constructing decision trees which is small and accurate. First, we construct the decision trees using classification threshold and exception threshold in construction stage. Next, we present two stage pruning method using classification threshold and reduced error pruning in pruning stage. Empirical results show that our method obtain the decision trees which is accurate and small.

대부분의 스카이라인 질의에 대한 연구는 정적인 데이타에 관하여 이루어지고 있다. 하지만, 모바일 응용환경의 발전에 따라 이동객체에 대한 연속적인 스카이라인 질의에 대한 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 연속적인 스카이라인 질의를 처리하기 위하여 4단계 스카이라인 영역 결정 기법이 최근 제안되었지만, 이 기법은 스카이라인 영역 계산 비용이 크므로 대량의 데이타 객체에 대해서는 사용되기 힘든 문제점이 있다. 이 논문은 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 먼저 4단계 영역 결정 기법에 대해서 이론적으로 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 4 단계 영역 결정 기법을 위한 점진적인 스카이라인 영역 결정 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 거리 기반 가지치기와 영역 결정 선분의 범위 축소 기법을 이용하여 기존 기법의 스카이라인 영역결정 비용을 효율적으로 감소시킨다. 본 논문은 다양한 성능 시험을 통하여 제안된 기법의 효율성을 증명한다.

Generally, building construction projects have a complex decision-making process because of the participation of various agents. In this situation, a final decision is arrived at by relying on subjective judgments based on the experience of project participants. For this reason, a method of assessing the objectivity of opinions is needed. In previous studies, the multi-criteria decision making method was applied to arrive at a final decision objectively, but this method has a limitation, in that the experience of each decision maker is not considered differently in the decision making process. Therefore, this study proposed a theoretical model using the S-shaped growth curve and regression analysis by building construction project type to quantitatively estimate decision-making reliability according to the experience of individual project participant`s. The developed model could be added to the Multi-criteria decision making method, and secure the objectivity and reliability of project participants' final opinion.

Binary Decision방법은 출력을 얻는데 요구되는 결정스텝이 최대 입력변수의 수를 넘지 않도록 한다. BD-PC모듈은 스캔 스피드를 개선하기 위해 이 방법을 이용하여 설계제작되었다. Binary Decision방식에 수반되는 메모리문제를 개선하기 위해 컴파일러 시스템을 개발하였다. 또한, 컴파일된 BD-PC목적프로그램을 BD머신의 메모리에 로디하기 위해 MDS와 BD-PC모듈간에 통신채널을 구성하였다.

The surge in generic attacks execution against cipher text on the computer network has led to the continuous advancement of the mechanisms to protect information integrity and confidentiality. The implementation of explicit decision tree machine learning algorithm is reported to accurately classifier generic attacks better than some multi-classification algorithms as the multi-classification method suffers from detection oversight. However, there is a need to improve the accuracy and reduce the false alarm rate. Therefore, this study aims to improve generic attack classification by implementing two hybridized decision tree algorithms namely Naïve Bayes Decision tree (NBTree) and Logistic Model tree (LMT). The proposed hybridized methods were developed using the 10-fold cross-validation technique to avoid overfitting. The generic attack detector produced a 99.8% accuracy, an FPR score of 0.002 and an MCC score of 0.995. The performances of the proposed methods were better than the existing decision tree method. Similarly, the proposed method outperformed multi-classification methods for detecting generic attacks. Hence, it is recommended to implement hybridized decision tree method for detecting generic attacks on a computer network.
