디버링 휠의 회전수 변화에 따른 디버링 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Deburring Characteristics according to rpm Change of Deburring Wheel)

  • The modern aircraft consists of tens/hundreds of thousands of components. A large proportion of these components are manufactured using a machining process. A deburring process must be performed after to machining. This study investigates the effect of changes in the deburring wheel rpm on the deburring force and radius. The deburring wheel is used to trim sharp edges off machined parts of the aircraft. The deburring wheel used consists of a core and a nylon hair(this new concept is protected under patent). We find that higher deburring wheel rpm results in increased deburring force and radius. For deburring wheel rotation rates of 500~750rpm, deburring force of 3.4~6.5kgf and deburring radius of 0.4~0.5mm were observed.

  • This paper describes the design and development of drills with deburring inserts. The drills can be used to drill holes and deburr the edges of the drilled holes simultaneously. The drills incorporate deburring inserts within the shank. The insert consists of a fixing base, a cantilever spring and a cutting tip. The stiffness of the cantilever spring and the details of the cutting tip play a central role for the successful deburring performance. The deburring performance is also governed by the conditions of the drilling burr best described by the burr control chart suggested by Dornfeld. With careful burr control, successful deburring is obtained by the drills with deburring inserts.

원통형 공작물에서 미세패턴의 디버링 및 버의 생성 메커니즘 (Study on Deburring and Burr Mechanism of Fabricated Micro-Pattern on Cylindrical Workpiece)

  • 미세 패턴의 기계적 가공에서는 버의 발생이 불가피하고, 패턴과 버의 크기가 매우 작아 이를 구분하기 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 turning machine을 이용하여, 원통형 공작물의 옆면에 패턴의 피치와 높이가 각각 60, $1{\mu}m$인 마이크로 패턴을 제작하고, 패턴의 형상을 이용하여 버의 형상과 생성 메커니즘을 정의하였다. 또한, 자기연마 디버링을 이용하여 마이크로 패턴의 정밀도를 높이고자 하였다. 그 결과, 미세패턴의 제작 시, 공구의 이송방향에 따라 버의 생성방향이 결정됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 자기연마디버링 공정에서 자속밀도와 공구의 회전속도가 각각 40mT, 1600rpm일 때, 패턴의 높이는 $1.018{\mu}m$로 측정되었으며, 자기연마 디버링에 가장 적합한 조건임을 알 수 있었다.

비접촉식 표면연마를 통한 디버링 효과 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improving Deburring Efficiency Using Non-Contact Finishing Process)

  • The surface status of a workpiece determines its functionality, product quality, and manufacturing costs. Thus, several finishing technologies have been widely investigated and applied to improve surface characteristics. In this study, rotational electro-magnetic abrasive finishing (REMAF) was suggested as a non-contact finishing process to achieve high geometric precision. To verify the effects of the REMAF process on burr removal on the surface of Al6061, experiments were conducted using the Taguchi method. Based on the experimental results analyzed by the S/N ratio and ANOVA, the optimal conditions were defined as A3B2C3D3 that corresponded to 1,800 rpm of rotational speed, 1.5 kg of abrasive particle weight, 0.7 mm of abrasive diameter, and 15 min of working time. In addition, the particle weight was a key attribute for deburring, whereas the working time was less effective.
