The maturity concept proposes that concrete of the same mix at the same maturity has the same strength, whatever combination of temperature and time makes up that maturity. Maturity is the integral of time and temperature of concrete above a datum temperature. Tests are conducted in order to determine a datum temperature and to measure compressive strengths and maturity of test specimens. This study also proposes some appropriate functions to represent the relationship between maturity and strength development.
The maturity method in which the strength increase of cement concrete is expressed as a function of an intergral of the curing period and temperature of the concrete has often been applied to its strength prediction. For the purpose of the application of the maturity method to the compressive strength prediction for lightweight polymer mortars using an unsaturated polyester resin as a binder, the lightweight polymer mortars with various catalyst and accelerator contents, are prepared. tested for compressive strength, and the datum temperatures for the maturity equations are estimated. The maturity is calculated by using the maturity equations with the estimated datum temperature. The compressive strengths of the lighweight polymer mortars are predicted from the maturity-compressive strength relationships.
Maturity is expressed as the integral of time and temperature of concrete above a datum temperature.
The maturity concept proposes that concrete of the same mix at the same maturity
has the same strength, whatever combination of temperature and time makes up that maturity.
In this study, the Nurse-Saul function which was proposed to account for the effects of temperature
and time on strength developrnent is used in computing maturity. After existing various
functions are considered to relate concrete strength to the maturity value, new strength-maturity
function is proposed.
Tests ;ire conducted in order to determine d datum temperature and compare prechction value
with measured concrete strength. The constants in proposed prediction equation are determined
from test results, and the equation is adopted to predict the strength of slab. The slab was cast
in the laboratory from the same batch of mold, and cores are cut from slab in order to estimate
the actual strength. These values are used to compare with predicted value. The present study
allows more realistic determination of early-age strength of concrete and can be efficiently used
to control the quality in actual construction.

The objectives of this study were to compare the development of compressive strength of epoxy resin mortars used as repairing materials with respect to maturity, and to propose a predictive model for strength development of epoxy resin mortar. A series of tests were carried out for the hardener contents of 30, 40 and 50 percentage of resin and compressive strength were measured at the of 6, 12, 24, 72, 120 and 168 hours respectively under temperature of 0, 10, 20 and 3$0^{\circ}C$. The datum temperature was estimated by measured strength, and the maturity is calculated with the estimated datum temperature. The compressive strength of epoxy resin mortar could be predicted by regression analysis from the maturity-compressive strength relationship.

The objective of this study are to compare the development of compressive strength of epoxy mortars used as repairing materials with respect to maturity , and to propose a model predicting strength development of epoxy mortars. A series of tests are carried out for the hardener contents of 30, 40 and 50 percentage of epoxy resin and compressive strengths are measured at the age of 6, 12, 24, 72, 120 and 168 hours respectively under the cure temperature of 0, 10, 20 and 3$0^{\circ}C$. The datum temperature is estimated by measured strengths, and the maturity is calculated with the estimated datum temperature. The compressive strength of epoxy mortars can be predicted by regression analysis from the maturity-compressive strength relationship.
Background: There have been many studies on the growth conditions of Zostera marina and Zostera japonica, but few studies have examined how spatial and temporal factors affect growth in established seagrass beds or the distribution range and shoot density. This study aims to clarify the factors that determine the temporal and spatial distribution of Zostera marina and Zostera japonica in the Seto Inland Sea east of Yamaguchi Prefecture. Methods: The study site is in Hiroshima Bay of the Seto Inland Sea, along the east coast of Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. We monitored by diving observation to confirm shoot density, presence or absence of both species and observed water temperature, salinity by sensor in study sites. Results: The frequency of occurrence of Zostera marina was high in all seasons, even in water depths of D.L. + 1 to -5 m ($80{\pm}34%$ to $89{\pm}19%$; mean ${\pm}$ standard deviation), but lower (as low as $43{\pm}34%$) near the breakwall, where datum level was 1 to 2 m, and it was further reduced in datum level -5 m and deeper. The frequency of occurrence of Zostera japonica was highest in water with a datum level of +1 to 0 m. However, in datum level of 0 m or deeper, it became lower as the water depth became deeper. Datum level +1 m to 0 m was an optimal water depth for both species. The frequency of occurrence and the shoot density of both species showed no negative correlation. In 2011, the daily mean water temperature was $10^{\circ}C$ or less on more days than in other years and the feeding damage by S. fuscescens in the study sites caused damage at the tips. Conclusions: We considered that the relationship between these species at the optimal water depth was not competitive, but due to differences in spatial distribution, Zostera marina and Zostera japonica do not influence each other due to temperature conditions and feeding damage and other environmental conditions. Zostera japonica required light intensity than Zostera marina, and the water depth played an important role in the distribution of both species.

This paper treats the temperature effectiveness of the two-fluid counterflow regenerator in a rotary type. To avoid continual interpolation and to obtain the simple result in calculating that, it obtained the particular solution for the direct-transfer-type counterflow heat exchanger by the graphical procedures. Also, it introduced the empirical formula for the influence of the ratio of rotor matrix to minimum working fluid heat capacity rate with the particular solution induced. Particularly, substituting the published results of temperature effectiveness into the program, it obtained the simple and convenient equation which can applicate in the counterflow regenerator in a rotary type. To compare and discuss the results induced, selecting the regenerative air preheater and applying the their running datum and specifications to the related results, it shows that the above results are agree with the published results within absolute relative error, 3.0%.

The temperature distribution and fluid flow in the chamber was investigated using FLUENT code. It provides comprehensive modeling capabilities for a wide range of incompressible or compressible and laminar or turbulent fluid flow problems. And a broad range of mathematical models for transport phenomena is combined with the ability to model for complex geometries. The geometry of the chamber was very complex, and a simplified model of the chamber was used in the simulation experiment. It was important that the temperature deviation of test site. This datum were provided in the improving the control algorithm. Using this algorithm, the results were with in $0.1^{\circ}C.$

This study investigated to predict the compressive strength of unsaturated polyester resin based polymer concrete using the maturity method. The test results show that the development of the compressive strength increased exponentially until an age of 24 hours. After 24 hours, the development of the compressive strength just increased gradually. This test result shows that the strength of unsaturated polyester resin based polymer concrete was developed mainly at the early age. Estimated datum temperature of unsaturated polyester resin based polymer concrete was $-20.67^{\circ}C$ which was much lower than of datum temperature ($-10^{\circ}C$) of Portland cement concrete. Also, this study result shows that the existing maturity index associated with Portland cement concrete was not applicable for polymer concrete because curing time of Portland cement concrete is different clearly with curing time of polymer concrete. The cause of different curing time was that there were different curing mechanisms between Portland cement concrete and polymer concrete. In order to best apply the experimental data to a model, CurveExpert Professional, the commercial software, was used to determine the predictive model regarding the compressive strength of unsaturated polyester resin based polymer concrete. As a result, Gompertz Relation or Weibull Model was an appropriate model as a predictive model. The proposed model can be used to predict the compressive strength, especially, it is more useful when the maturity is in the range between $40^{\circ}C{\cdot}h^{0.4}$ and $900^{\circ}C{\cdot}h^{0.4}$.

We analyze heat generation as well as temperature distribution induced by accelerated electron impact on a target in a closed x-ray tube. For the sake of accuracy, we use Monte carlo analysis. This method gives accurate energy deposit in a medium with additional information such as secondary and backscattered electron as well as their paths. A Tungsten coated layer is divided by small rectangular cell which accumulate energy loss of primary electron beam. The cells and their accumulated energy datum are used for the input of finite element analysis. The Maximum temperature rising and temperature distribution were analyzed by transient heat analysis. Some temperature parameters such as target size and coating thickness were varied to investigate temperature sensitivity. Temperatures were compared each other to find primary variable that affect temperature rising on the x-ray target. The results will be helpful in development highresolution x-ray tube and related industries.
