Most of searching systems used by shopping-mall provide too much information for user requirements or fail to provide appropriate items reflecting customer's preference. This paper aims to design and implement the product searching systems based on customer preference which will enable efficient product selection in the internet shopping-mall. The proposed system consists of user/provider interface, searching and model agent, data management system, and model management system. Especially, we construct the searching pattern database to support fast search using association mining method. And this system includes the customer-oriented decision model which shows the highly preferred products. Input weight value per attribute and preference level should be needed to compute priority grade of preference.

Given the pressures to promote the efficient utilization of medical resources, hospitals have developed cost accounting systems in several countries. This study discusses the recent development and problems of hospital cost accounting practices in three countries: UK, US, and Japan. first, we discuss a cost accounting structure and detailed pictures of costing practices. Second, problems of current systems arc reviewed and then possible remedies are discussed. Third, we provide implications for implementing the systems(especially ABC). finally, we assert that infrastructure(hospital information systems, database, etc.) must be established and the target level of costing has to be considered before organization-wide application.

Many kinds of communication systems will be co-existed in the next generation communication environment. Location management will be one of the most important strategies in the future communication network. Whether the user gets the service in any kind of communication system, it is required to know the location of the user properly and manages this location information efficiently. In this paper, mobile IP and WCDMA systems are considered as next generation communication systems. We improve the performance of communication in heterogeneous networks adjusting the conventional region-based location management strategy in homogeneous network. This strategy can be adjusted dynamically to the communication system on the basis of packet-to-mobility ratio (PMR) in mobile IP system or call-to-mobility ratio (CMR) in WCDMA system, lots of different system parameters, and movement pattern of the user. This can be also based on the performance analysis with considering signaling cost and database access cost.

Players of construction projects proceed with each work process by information gathering, modification and communication. Due to the complex and long-span lifecycle projects increased, it became more important to grasp this mechanism for the successful project performance in construction project. Hence, most project information management systems or knowledge management systems equip information retrieval system. There are two logic to infer the meaning of retrieval target; inductive reasoning and deductive reasoning. The former is based on metadata explaining the target and the later is based on relation between data. To infer the information flow, it is necessary to define the correlation between players and work processes. However, most established information retrieval systems are based on index search system and it is not focused on correlation between data but data itself. Thus, this research aims to research on process of information flow retrieval system for large-scale construction projects.

이동 객체 관리 시스템은 사람, 동물, 자동차 등과 같이 시간에 따라 위치를 변경하는 시공간 데이터를 관리한다. 이러한 이동 객체 관리 시스템은 차량 위치 추적, 디지털 전장, 위치 기반 서비스 등에 적용된다. 그러나 기존의 이동 객체 관리 시스템은 이동 객체의 과거 및 미래의 위치정보를 개별적으로 관리하며, 불확실한 과거 및 미래의 위치 추정 방법을 구체적으로 제시하지 못한다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 이동 객체의 이력 정보를 관리할 뿐만 아니라, 데이터베이스에 저장된 이력정보를 이용한 이동 객체의 과거 및 미래의 위치 추정이 가능한 시스템을 제안한다. 이를 위해 차량 위치 추적을 위한 이동 객체를 모델링하고 이동 객체 데이터베이스 구조를 제시한다. 아울러 제안 시스템의 실행 모델을 제시하고, 이를 차량 추적을 위한 가상 시나리오에 적용한다.

인터넷 쇼핑몰을 구성하는 관리자 입장에서는 사용자 중심의 편리한 검색 기능과 시스템 중심의 빠른 검색 기능을 가지는 것이 매우 중요하다. 전자는 사용자의 다양한 요구를 만족시킬 수 있는 최적화된 입력 매개 변수를 찾아내는 것이며, 후자는 속성이 다른 다양한 입력 변수들을 효과적으로 정규화 하여 빠른 검색 해를 찾아내는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 기본적으로 사용자의 다양한 요구를 최대한 반영하기 위해 다중 속성을 가진 검색 기능은 물론 보다 빠른 검색 기능을 가지기 위한 데이터베이스 최적화 구성에 초점을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 인터넷 쇼핑몰의 검색 특성을 반영할 수 있는 연관 규칙의 척도인 지지도와 신뢰도를 고려한 수정된 연관 알고리즘을 제시하며, 빠른 검색 기능을 가지기 위한 모델관리 시스템을 제안한다. 수행된 시뮬레이션 결과에 의하면 고객의 검색 트랜잭션 수가 증가할수록 전체 평균 검색 시간은 상대적으로 줄어든다.

This study is aimed to develop a system to position and manage object flow in real time. Logistics management system which position objects and vans using GPS is required to load, unload and keep freight effectively and in real time at sea or airport. In this study, a management system which is consisted of five sub-systems is developed; GPS position analysis system, GPS interface system, mapping system, network system and database management system.

Recently many organizations have attempted to build hypermedia systems to expand their working areas to internet-based virtual work places. It is thus important to manage corporate hypermedia documents effectively. Metadata play a critical role for managing these documents. This paper identifies metadata roles and components to build its schema. Furthermore a meta-information system HyDoMiS(Hyperdocument Meta-information System) is proposed by the use of this metadata schema. HyDoMiS performs three functions; metadata management search and reporting The metadata management function is concerned with workflow document and database. The system is more likely to help implement and maintsain hypermedia information system effectively.

데이터베이스의 사용이 증가하고 다루어야 하는 데이터의 양이 방대해지면서 데이터베이스 시스템을 효율적으로 사용하기 위한 성능 관리 기술이 중요해지고 있다. 특히 데이터 웨어하우스는 대용량의 데이터를 대상으로 복잡한 분석을 수행하거나 전략적 의사 결정을 위해 사용하기 때문에 신속한 질의 응답을 위한 성능 관리가 무엇보다 중요하다. 데이터 웨어하우스는 일반 운영계 시스템과는 다른 목적과 특성을 가지기 때문에 그에 적합한 성능 모니터링 방법 및 튜닝 기술이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 OLTP(On-Line Transaction Processing)용 오라클 데이터베이스를 위한 국산 성능 관리 도구인 DBMax를 데이터 웨어하우스 환경에 적합하도록 기능을 확장한다. 우선 데이터 웨어하우스 응용 분야를 지원하기 위한 오라클 9i의 요약 관리(summary management) 기능과 ETL(Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading) 기능을 중심으로 데이터 웨어하우스 시스템의 성능 관리시 고려해야 할 요구 사항을 분석하고 이를 지원하는 DBMax의 확장 아키텍처를 설계 및 구현한다. 구체적으로 요약 관리와 ETL 작업을 지원하기 위한 오라클 9i의 다양한 스키마 객체에 대한 정보와 성능 관련 지표를 제시하여 데이터 웨어하우스 환경에서 수행되는 질의에 대한 SQL 튜닝 기능을 강화한다. 또한 사후 분석을 위한 BBMax의 로그 파일에서 의미 있는 SQL 문을 추출하여 잠재적으로 유용한 실체화된 뷰를 추천하는 요약 권고 기능을 추가한다.
