Amount of biological data information has been increasing exponentially. In order to cope with this bio-information explosion, it is necessary to construct a biological data information integration system. The integration system could provide useful services for bio-application developers by answering general complex queries that require accessing information from heterogeneous bio data sources, and easily accommodate a new database into the integrated systems. In this paper, we analyze architectures and mechanisms of existing integration systems with their advantages and disadvantages. Based on this analysis and user requirement studies, we propose an integration system framework that embraces advantages of the existing systems. More specifically, we propose an integration system architecture composed of a mediator and wrappers, which can offer a service interface layer for various other applications as well as independent biologists, thus playing the role of database management system for biology applications. In other words, the system can help abstract the heterogeneous information structures and formats from the application layer. In the system, the wrappers send database-specific queries and report the result to the mediator using XML. The proposed system could facilitate in silico knowledge discovery by allowing combination of numerous discrete biological information databases.

RDBMS는 전 세계적으로 많이 사용하는 데이터베이스 시스템으로, 행정정보 데이터세트(이하 데이터세트)는 RDBMS를 이용하여 행정정보시스템에서 생산되는 방대한 규모의 데이터를 의미한다. 행정적인 문서 위주로 생산되는 업무시스템과는 달리 행정정보시스템은 기관의 고유한 업무 중심으로 기록들이 생산되고 있다. 이러한 기록들은 기존의 결재문서류와 메타데이터 등이 달라 표준기록관리시스템으로 이관이 쉽지 않다. 2022년 「공공기록물법 시행령」 개정으로 기록물의 관리권한만 이전하는 유형에 데이터세트가 포함되었고, 개정의 핵심 내용은 행정정보시스템에서 기록의 생애주기를 관리해야 하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 그러나 현재까지는 행정정보시스템에서 데이터세트를 어떻게 관리해야 하는지 모색된 바는 없었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기록의 생애주기를 관리하기 위해 행정정보시스템에 탑재해야 하는 기록관리 모듈의 DB를 설계하고자 한다. ISO 16175-1:2020의 예시를 수정·보완하여 "인사관리시스템"을 설계하고, 인사관리 데이터세트를 식별 및 평가함으로써 행정정보시스템에서의 기록관리를 위한 구체적인 실행 예시를 보여주고자 한다. 본 연구에서 설계한 프로토타입 시스템이 실제 기관에서 사용하고 있는 시스템에 비해 데이터의 양이 적고, 기록관리 모듈의 DB가 헹정정보시스템에 적용 가능한지 현업에 계신 기록연구사분들과 IT 개발자들에게 검증을 받지 못한 한계점은 있다. 그러나, 예시를 통해서 데이터세트가 무엇인지 실체를 파악할 수 있었고, 행정정보시스템에서 데이터세트를 어떻게 관리해야 하는지 알 수 있었다. 그리고 행정정보시스템에서 기록관리 모듈의 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다. 향후 완전한 기록관리 모듈이 완성되고 국가기록원에서 기록관리 모듈에 대한 표준이 만들어진다면, 관련 기관에서 데이터세트를 관리하는데 필요한 모듈이 될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

Query language has been widely used as a convenient tool to obtain information from a database. However, users demand more intelligent query processing systems that can understand the intent of an imprecise query and provide additional useful information as well as exact answers. This paper introduces a meta-database and presents a query processing mechanism that supports a variety of intelligent queries in a consistent and integrated way. The meta-database extracts data abstraction knowledge form an underlying database on the basis of a multilevel knowledge representation framework KAH. In cooperation with the underlying database, the meta-database supports four types of intelligent queries that provide approximately or conceptually equal answers as well as exact ones.

The Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) is the primary, top level technical management document for the integration of all engineering activities at the project plan phase. This document defined the activities to plan, control, and perform overall engineering integration. To develop the SEMP for Railway Safety System, several standards are reviewed and analyzed. And then a common requirement for SEMP preparation is derived from the results of analysis. Also, the SEMP example available practically applies to Railway Safety System. In particular, The SEMP focused on controling technical program management has been organized so far, but in this study the detailed contents of SEMP put stress on project management is derived. And it is related to each other between project management and technical engineering management. At the end, to continuously manage the items and contents of the SEMP, a database management and an automatic document generation system is presented using Computer-Aided Systems Engineering (CASE) tool.

The current study attempts to provide the field of knowledge management with theoretical grounds from the perspective of social network, resource dependency, and institutional theory. Social network theory considers that knowledge management plays a critical role in organizational innovation through the process of knowledge sharing/creation, communication systems, and a cooperative culture and trust, whereas resource dependency perceives knowledge management as contributing to cost reduction through the process of knowledge capture/storage, database systems, and reward/incentive systems. Plus, from the perspective of institutionalization, this study discusses that organizations can not benefit from knowledge management if it is adopted with the motive of isomorphic change. Finally, this study compares and integrates the three perspectives, and discusses the implications and limitations.

정보통신과 컴퓨터기술의 발전으로 인하여 불법침입으로 인한 정보 파괴, 서비스거부공격 그리고 컴퓨터 바이러스 등에 의한 역기능이 날로 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 또한, 이러한 공격들로부터 네트워크를 보호하기 위해서 침입차단 시스템, 침입탐지 시스템, 접근제어 시스템 등 많은 보안제품들이 개발 및 적용되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 보안 제품들에 대한 관리를 위해서는 많은 작업과 비용이 소요된다. 따라서, 이들 보안제품들에 대한 효율적인 관리와 일관된 보안정책을 적용할 수 있는 정책 기반의 통합보안관리 시스템의 정책모델이 필요하게 되었다 본 논문에서는 중앙 정책 데이터베이스를 기반으로 대표적인 보안 시스템인 침입차단 시스템을 통합 관리하는 시스템의 구조와 세부 기능들에 대해서 기술하였다. 그리고, 중앙 정책 데이터베이스를 통해 네트워크 상의 각 방화벽 정책을 조정하고 유지하는 네트워크 방화벽 통합 관리 시스템의 핵심부분인 WISMSF 엔진의 구현 기술과 정책 충돌을 정의하고 정책 복구 과정을 제시하였다.

본 연구에서는 유역 수문자료를 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 수문자료관리시스템(HDMS)을 개발하였으며 경기도 화성시에 위치한 발안시험유역을 대상으로 시스템의 적용성을 보여주었다. MySQL 5.0을 사용하여 관계형 데이테베이스를 설계하였으며, MS-Visual Basic 6.0을 이용하여 윈도우 기반의 시스템을 개발하였다. HDMS는 자료검색시스템, 자료관리시스템, 자료분석시스템으로 구성되었다. 자료검색시스템과 자료관리시스템은 자료검색, 자료저장, 자료갱신, 자료추출의 기능을 제공하며, 자료분석시스템은 저장된 자료로부터 다양한 수문통계정보를 제공하며, 자료의 정확성 및 품질을 분석하고 평가한다.

The QOS(Quality of Service) recognized by the customer will become the most important thing under the competitive telecommunications market. Korea Telecom is going to develop many system to manage the telecommunication network, to improve the level of QOS, and to increase the revenue. Operation and Maintenance Adiministration System is one of the systems developed to meet those purposes efficiently. This system gathers qualities data from telephone offices or operation centers and analyze the results of QOS improvement activities and evaluate overall QOS. And also system makes it possible to improve the cost/effectiveness of operation and maintenance of telecommunication network. Operation and Maintenance Administration System has four functional modules, i.e., the user interface module, the database management module, the QOS management module, and the database conversion module. The purpose of this study is to develop the QOS management program, one of the four functional modules of the system,using FOCUS 4GL/DBMS. Since Operation and Maintenance Administration System is developed using FOCUS 4GL, every user can handle and maintain the system very easily and reduce system backlogs.

The outage management is very important because the outage causes a severe damage to the power system. Therefore, the utilities employ the outage management system, which is different from each others. This paper suggests the four kind of database systems for outage management. The efficiency of the outage management may be improved by using the suggested database system.

In the field of rice research, insertional mutants have become a valuable resource for studies of gene function. However, a well-designed database yet in the area of rice functional genomics. The relevant data are widely distributed and independently managed by the individual research groups. Heterogeneous data format in the distributed database systems causes many problems related to redundancy and compatibility. In this research, integration of the distributed databases using agent technology is pursued. In particular, a data integration agent, an ontology agent, a comparison agent, and resource agents are designed, whereby the integrated database is maintained. Moreover a framework for the web-based information system, which provides information to biologists and permits biologists to add new data to the database, is proposed. To establish an interoperable data format, an XML-based data model is also developed adopting ontology concept.
