Continuous multi-interval prediction (CMIP) is used to continuously predict the trend of a data stream based on various intervals simultaneously. The continuous integrated hierarchical temporal memory (CIHTM) network performs well in CMIP. However, it is not suitable for CMIP in real-time mode, especially when the number of prediction intervals is increased. In this paper, we propose a real-time integrated hierarchical temporal memory (RIHTM) network by introducing a new type of node, which is called a Zeta1FirstSpecializedQueueNode (ZFSQNode), for the real-time continuous multi-interval prediction (RCMIP) of data streams. The ZFSQNode is constructed by using a specialized circular queue (sQUEUE) together with the modules of original hierarchical temporal memory (HTM) nodes. By using a simple structure and the easy operation characteristics of the sQUEUE, entire prediction operations are integrated in the ZFSQNode. In particular, we employed only one ZFSQNode in each level of the RIHTM network during the prediction stage to generate different intervals of prediction results. The RIHTM network efficiently reduces the response time. Our performance evaluation showed that the RIHTM was satisfied to continuously predict the trend of data streams with multi-intervals in the real-time mode.
Observed climate data are processed under the assumption that their time series are stationary, as in multi-step temperature and precipitation prediction, which usually leads to low prediction accuracy. If a climate system model is based on a single prediction model, the prediction results contain significant uncertainty. In order to overcome this drawback, this study uses a method that integrates ensemble prediction and a stepwise regression model based on a mean-valued generation function. In addition, it utilizes empirical mode decomposition (EMD), which is a new method of handling time series. First, a non-stationary time series is decomposed into a series of intrinsic mode functions (IMFs), which are stationary and multi-scale. Then, a different prediction model is constructed for each component of the IMF using numerical ensemble prediction combined with stepwise regression analysis. Finally, the results are fit to a linear regression model, and a short-term climate prediction system is established using the Visual Studio development platform. The model is validated using temperature data from February 1957 to 2005 from 88 weather stations in Guangxi, China. The results show that compared to single-model prediction methods, the EMD and ensemble prediction model is more effective for forecasting climate change and abrupt climate shifts when using historical data for multi-step prediction.

Data mining usually deal with undesigned massive data containing many variables for which their characteristics and association rules are unknown, therefore it is actually not easy to interpret the results of analysis. In this paper, it is shown that decision tree can be very useful in interpreting data mining prediction model using two real examples.

In the aftermath of the global pandemic that started in 2019, there have been many changes in the import/export and supply/demand process of agricultural products in each country. Amid these changes, the necessity and importance of each country's food self-sufficiency rate is increasing. There are several conditions that must accompany efficient agricultural activities, but among them, temperature is by far one of the most important conditions. For this reason, the need for high-accuracy climate data for stable agricultural activities is increasing, and various studies on climate prediction are being conducted in Korea, but data that can visually confirm climate prediction data for farmers are insufficient. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an artificial intelligence-based temperature prediction algorithm that can predict future temperature information by collecting and analyzing temperature data of farms in Gyeonggi-do in Korea for the last 10 years. If this algorithm is used, it is expected that it can be used as an auxiliary data for agricultural activities.
Early criticality prediction models that determine whether a design entity is fault-prone or not are becoming more and more important as software development projects are getting larger. Effective predictions can reduce the system development cost and improve software quality by identifying trouble-spots at early phases and proper allocation of effort and resources. Many prediction models have been proposed using statistical and machine learning methods. This paper builds a prediction model using Support Vector Machine(SVM) which is one of the most popular modern classification methods and compares its prediction performance with a well-known prediction model, BackPropagation neural network Model(BPM). SVM is known to generalize well even in high dimensional spaces under small training data conditions. In prediction performance evaluation experiments, dimensionality reduction techniques for data set are not used because the dimension of input data is too small. Experimental results show that the prediction performance of SVM model is slightly better than that of BPM and polynomial kernel function achieves better performance than other SVM kernel functions.
In this paper, we present the modeling of the ozone prediction system using Neuro-Fuzzy approaches. The mechanism of ozone concentration is highly complex, nonlinear, and nonstationary, the modeling of ozone prediction system has many problems and the results of prediction is not a good performance so far. The Dynamic Polynomial Neural Network(DPNN) which employs a typical algorithm of GMDH(Group Method of Data Handling) is a useful method for data analysis, identification of nonlinear complex system, and prediction of a dynamical system. The structure of the final model is compact and the computation speed to produce an output is faster than other modeling methods. In addition to DPNN, this paper also includes a Fuzzy Logic Method for modeling of ozone prediction system. The results of each modeling method and the performance of ozone prediction are presented. The proposed method shows that the prediction to the ozone concentration based upon Neuro-Fuzzy approaches gives us a good performance for ozone prediction in high and low ozone concentration with the ability of superior data approximation and self organization.
For the prediction of multi-site rainfall with radar data and ground meteorological data, a rainfall prediction model was proposed, which uses the neural network theory, a kind of artifical Intelligence technique. The Input layer of the prediction model was constructed with current ground meteorological data, their variation, moving vectors of rain- fall field and digital terrain of the measuring site, and the output layer was constructed with the predicted rainfall up to 3 hours. In the application of the prediction model to the Pyungchang river basin, the learning results of neural network prediction model showed more Improved results than the parameter estimation results of an existing physically based model. And the proposed model comparisonally well predicted the time distribution of ralnfall.
This paper introduces the prediction methods of windstorm advisory using GP nonlinear compensation and SVM. The existing special report prediction is not specialized for strong wind, such as windstorm, because it is based on the wide range of predicted values for wind speed from low to high. In order to improve the performance of strong wind reporting prediction, a method that can efficiently classify boundaries of strong wind is necessary. First, evolutionary nonlinear regression based compensation technique is applied to obtain more accurate values of prediction for wind speed using UM data. Based on the prediction wind speed, the windstorm advisory is determined. Second, SVM method is applied to classify directly using the data of UM predictors and windstorm advisory. Above two methods are compared to evaluate of the performances for the windstorm data in Jeju Island in South Korea. The data of 2007-2009, 2011 year is used for training, and 2012 year is used for test.
