향요법과 복부마사지의 복합처치가 중년 여성의 체 성분 변화에 미치는 영향 (The effect that the composition handling of aromatherapy and abdominal massage treatment reaches the middle-aged woman's body ingredient transformation)

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of aromatherapy, showing how the composition handling of aromatherapy and abdominal massage treatment reaches body ingredient transformation. The subjects for this research were total 18 middle-aged females in Seoul; aroma massage group of 7 females, aroma inhalation and water bathe group of 5 females, abdominal massage group of 6 females by jojoba oil without any medical effect. This clinic trial was held from July 1, 2008 to Aug.14, 2008. I held this clinic trial under the same condition after and before this clinic. A standard tape and OLYMPIA 3.5 of S hospital were used at the body measuring for subjects after and before clinic trials. I got Average and standard deviation by data analysis by SPSS Win. Ver.14.0. I did paired t-test for the comparison of before and after, and repeated measure ANOVA for between two groups or among three groups'. The verification was held Duncan Test. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Body mass quotient (F=2.86, p= .063) and Body region (F=1.34, p= .279) among three groups showed no meaningful difference, but weight meaningful difference and aroma massage group showed the greatest difference of body measure change quantity. 2. In change quantity of abdomen girth, Waist circumference and WHR, abdomen girth (F=4.56, p= .012) and Waist circumference (F=4.37, p= .031) showed a meaningful statistical difference. The result of subsequent inspection showed that there was a meaningful difference among three groups and aroma massage group was best. 3. In Cell quantity, Body region quantity and Muscle volume, Body region quantity (F=2.76, p= .182) and Muscle volume (F=3.12, p= .054) showed no difference, but Cell quantity (F=3.79, p= .040) showed a meaningful difference. In the comparison of three groups there was no difference, but aromatherapy group showed more change quantity than any other group. According to the result of this study, the composition handling of aromatherapy and body massage was effective in the decrease of Abdominal fatness and Waist circumference, Weight and the increase of Cell quantity. so I suggest that woman use this therapy in the program of obesity management for her health improvement.

광주.전남 일부 중학생들의 체질량지수에 따른 식생활 및 식이자아효능감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Middle School Students of Gwangju.Chonnam in Terms of Dietary Life, Dietary Related Self-efficacy According to Body Mass Index)

  • In order to give basic data to teenager's healthcare, we investigated the food habits according to BMI (Body Mass Index), life style, dietary related self-efficacy and food intake through conducting a research surveying 732 middle school students of the Kwang-ju and Chonnam areas. The results of this study were compared groups in under weight (UW), normal weight (NW), and overweight (OW) groups according to BMI levels. In the male students, height was significantly differently in the UW group as $158.2\pm0.7$ cm compared to other NW and OW groups respectively as $163.7\pm0.6$ cm and $162.6\pm0.7$ cm but in the female students there was no significantly difference within groups. Weight was significantly different between the groups in the male students, whereas there were minor differences in the female students. The average of BMI was $20.7\pm0.1$ on the male students and $20.6\pm0.1$ on the female students which were all within the average, and their obesity was increased as the school grade was higher. Under less than 30,000 won of pocket money was dominating, and most of the students were in a nuclear family. In all male and female students, the inactive hours like watching TV and using computers had no differences between groups. The difference between groups was minor on breakfast time and most of the students thought their problems on unbalanced diet. There was significant difference in the OW group in female students as they thought their problems on unbalanced diets. The frequency of snack was significantly low in the OW group of male students but there were no differences in snack and eating-out food. All students chose fruits as snack food and Korean-style food as eating out food. The OW group in male students were significantly low in the dietary related self-efficacy when they were with their families and feeling depressed but there were no differences in female students between groups. When all students were getting higher BMI, they evaluated themselves badly in their self-dietary habits. Also the more male students had non-physical activity time, the less they had the dietary related self-efficacy and the more female students had physical activity time, the higher they had the dietary related self-efficacy. In conclusion, the OW group had good habits in physical activities for weekends, meal times, frequency of snack consumption but it showed undesirable when they were low in dietary related self-efficacy. Therefore we will provide the systematic nutrition education to them through this study.

Body Weight at Birth and at Age Three and Respiratory Illness in Preschool Children

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the associations of current body weight and body mass index (BMI) at age three and birth weight in developing chronic respiratory illness in childhood and identify possible interaction underlying its mechanism. Methods: The study was carried out with 422 children who were enrolled in a hospital-based birth cohort. Birth related anthropometric data were collected at birth. At age 3 years, the presence of respiratory symptoms was evaluated by using the Korean version of core questionnaire for wheezing and asthma from the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood (ISAAC). Physical examination was carried out to measure the child's weight and height. Results: Children in the lowest birth weight tertile (aOR = 3.97, 95% CI = 0.94-16.68) or highest BMI tertile (aOR = 3.68, 95% CI = 1.24-10.95) at three years of age were at an increased risk of chronic respiratory illness. Children who were initially in the lowest birth weight tertile but now belong in the highest weight tertile had higher risk of chronic respiratory illness compared to those who had remained in the middle tertile (OR=16.35, 95% CI=1.66-160.57). Conclusions: Children with lower birth weight or higher BMI were at an increased risk of chronic respiratory illness. In addition, children who were initially in the lowest birth weight tertile but are now in the highest weight tertile had higher risk of chronic respiratory illness compared to those who remained in the middle tertile.

정상 한국 성인에서 혈청 암태아성항원의 경계치 및 이에 영향을 미치는 인자 (Cutoff Values of Serum Carcinoembryonic Antigen(CEA) in Normal Korean Adults and Factors Influencing Serum CEA Level)

  • 건강 검진시 정상으로 판정된 한국 성인 2626명의 혈청 암태아성항원 농도를 이용하여 통계적 분석을 실시하였다. 1) 한국 정상 성인에서 혈청 암태아성항원의 경계치는 남자에서 9.28ng/m1, 여자에서 5.90ng/m1이었으며 이를 연령군별로 흡연력에 따른 분포를 보았더니 50세이상에선 남여 모두 항상 흡연자가 비흡연자보다 높았다. 각 연령별 흡연력에 따른 경계치는 Table 4와 같았다. 2) 혈청 암태아성항원은 연령이 증가함에 따라 증가하였다. 3) 혈청 암태아성항원은 흡연군에서 현재 비흡연군과 과거 흡연군 보다 높았다. 4) 혈청 암태아성항원은 남성에서 여성에서 보다 높았다. 5) 흉부 방사선 촬영에서 결핵 소견이 있으면 정상인 군보다 혈청 암태아성항원이 높았다. 6) 혈청 암태아성하원은 음주력과 비만도와는 연관이 없었다.

쑥 (Artemisia princeps P.) 추출물이 고지방식이를 급여한 흰쥐의 대사장애 및 아디포카인 조절에 미치는 영향 (Amelioration of metabolic disturbances and adipokine dysregulation by mugwort (Artemisia princeps P.) extract in high-fat diet-induced obese rats)

  • 본 연구는 고지방식이와 쑥추출물이 흰쥐의 지질대사, 인슐린저항성, 아디포카인 분비에 미치는 효과를 측정하였다. 고지방식이에 의해 부고환지방과 복막후강지방의 축적이 증가되었고, 그 결과 혈장 항염증성 아디포카인은 감소하고 염증성 아디포카인은 증가하여 아디포넥틴/렙틴 및 아디포넥틴/PAI-1 비가 저하되는 불균형을 초래하였다. 내장지방 축적과 관련된 아디포카인의 불균형은 TG, TG/HDL-C, TC/HDL-C를 증가시키고 HOMA-IR의 증가를 유발한 것으로 추정된다. 이에 비해 쑥 에탄올추출물의 첨가는 부고환지방과 복막후강지방의 축적을 완화함으로써 PAI-1과 렙틴을 감소시켜 아디포넥틴/렙틴 및 아디포넥틴/PAI-1 비의 저하를 억제하고 아디포카인의 균형을 상대적으로 유지하였으며, TG, TG/HDL-C, TC/HDL-C 및 HOMA-IR 수치가 감소하였다. 따라서 쑥 에탄올추출물은 내장지방 축적을 억제하고 아디포카인의 분비, 특히 염증성물질인 렙틴과 PAI-1의 분비를 저하시켜 아디포카인의 균형을 조절함으로써 지질대사 및 인슐린저항성을 개선하는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

당뇨와 고혈압 환자를 제외한 건강검진을 실시한 한국 성인남녀의 대사증후군 구성요소와 총 빌리루빈간의 관련성 (Association between the Components of Metabolic Syndrome and Total Bilirubin at the Health Care Check Up in Korean Men and Women: Based on Adults Except for Diabetes and Hypertension)

  • 빌리루빈은 내인성 항산화제로서 항염작용이 있으며, 고혈압, 당뇨병, 대사증후군 및 인슐린 저항성과 역상관 관계에 있다고 보고된다. 그러나 간 특이적 지표와 비교하여 빌리루빈과 대사증후군간의 관련성을 평가한 연구는 부족하다. 본 연구에서는 건강검진을 실시한 한국 성인남녀를 대상으로 ALT, GGT와 비교하여 총 빌리루빈과 대사증후군 유병률 사이의 관련성을 조사하고자 하였다. 이 횡단면 연구에는 2015년 3월부터 2018년 2월까지 경기도 소재 종합병원에서 건강검진을 실시한 20세 이상 성인남녀 22,568명이 포함되었다. American Heart Association/National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute(AHA/NHLBI)의 지침에 따라 대사증후군을 진단하였다. 남녀 모두에서 대사증후군 위험요인이 없는 군보다 대사증후군 진단군에서 간 효소치가 높았으며, 총 빌리루빈과 직접 빌리루빈치는 낮게 나타났다. 남녀 모두에서 혈청 총 빌리루빈은 복부비만(r=-0.066 vs r=-0.055), 중성지방(r=-0.127 vs r=-0.136)과 약한 역상관 관계를 보였으며, 이는 ALT와 GGT보다 약한 관련성이었다. 또한 남녀 모두에서 ALT와 GGT뿐만 아니라 총 빌리루빈은 대사증후군 발생 가능성을 예측하는 지표는 아닌 것으로 나타났다.

측두하악관절의 골관절염 (Osteoarthritis of the Temporomandibular Joint)

  • 측두하악관절 골관절염은 측두하악장애의 한 형태로 관절조직의 생리적 내성을 초과하는 기능적 부하가 지속적으로 관절에 가해졌을 때 관절연골 및 연골하 골조직의 점진적 파괴와 이차적 염증을 특징으로 하는 질환이다. 관절면에 가해지는 물리적 하중은 관절내에서 기질파괴 단백효소나 염증성 cytokine, 유리기의 활성을 증가시키고, 그에 따라 골조직의 퇴행과 재형성 사이의 균형을 깨뜨려 골조직의 흡수를 야기한다. 최근에는 물리적 하중 이 외에 비만세포에서 유래하는 adipokine이 골흡수를 증가시킨다는 보고들이 있으나 측두하악관절에 적용하기에는 아직 추가적인 연구가 필요하므로 현재로서 골관절염의 치료는 관절의 기능적 부하를 줄이고 환자의 생리적 내성을 증가시키는 방향으로 이루어져야 한다. 임상증상은 충분한 기간 정확한 술식대로 시행한 물리치료, 약물치료, 교합안정 장치치료 등의 보존적 처치와 관절강내 주사요법이나 관절세척술 및 관절경 수술과 같은 추가적인 외과적 처치에 의해 성공적으로 조절될 수 있으나, 임상증상의 개선이 골파괴의 중지와 재형성을 담보하는 것은 아니므로 임상증상의 개선 이 후에도 지속적인 골변화의 추적관찰이 필요하다. 또한, 골변화 활성 자체를 직접적으로 조절할 수 있는 활용 가능한 치료법이 없는 한, 지속적인 동기유발과 행동조절을 통해 관절에 가해지는 기능적 부하를 환자 스스로 조절할 수 있도록 끊임없이 교육하는 것이 골변화를 겪는 측두하악관절로 하여금 보다 이른 시기에 보다 유리한 정형적 안정에 도달하게 함으로써 골관절염을 보다 성공적으로 조절할 수 있는 길이라고 할 수 있다.

신령버섯에서 분리된 Glucosylceramide 및 Sterol의 피부 세포 개선 효과 (Effect of Glucosylceramides and Sterols Isolated from Agaricus Blazei Extract on Improvement of Skin Cell)

  • 신령버섯(Agaricus blazei Murill)은 항암, 면역력 개선, 항비만 등 다양한 효능이 알려져 있으며, 피부 효능으로는 항산화, 항염, 미백 등에 대하여 보고되었다. 이러한 효능을 뒷받침하기 위하여, 신령버섯의 성분 연구가 진행되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 신령버섯 추출물의 피부 효능을 재확인하고 유용한 효능성분을 밝혀내어 이를 화장품 소재로서 이용하고자 하였다. 신령버섯 추출물은 100 ㎍/mL에서 멜라닌 합성 저해, 콜라겐 합성 증진, 보습과 관련된 유전자(hyaluronan synthase-2, 3와 aquaporin-3) 발현 증가를 나타내었다. 이들 화합물은 분광학적 데이터와 문헌값을 비교하여 ergosterol (1), 5-dihydroergosterol (2), cerevisterol (3), cerebroside B (4), cerebroside D (5), adenosine (6), 및 benzoic acid (7)로 동정하였다. 이들 중 비교적 효능이 알려지지 않은 3종의 sterol (1-3)과 2종의 glucosylceramide (4, 5)에 대하여 피부효능을 평가하였으며, 그 결과 5-dihydroergosterol (2)이 마우스 흑색종 세포에서 멜라닌 생성을 억제하였으며, 또한 인간 진피 섬유아세포 세포에서 콜라겐 생합성 촉진하였다. 그리고 cerevisterol (3), cerebroside B (4), cerebroside D (5)는 마우스 대식세포에서 NO 생성을 억제하였으며, 특히 cerebroside D (5)는 인간각질형성세포에서 hyaluronan synthase-2와 aquaporin-3 유전자 발현을 증가시켰다. 따라서 신령버섯 추출물과 분리 화합물은 화장품 소재로 활용 가능 할 것으로 생각된다.

서울지역 일부 과체중 및 적절체중 학령기 아동의 신체계측, 체지방률, 혈액지표 및 영양소 섭취 상태의 비교 분석 연구 (Comparisons of Anthropometric Measurements, Body Fat, Blood Parameters and Nutrients Intakes in Over- and Desirable-body Weight School Children)

  • This study was carried out to compare the characteristics of the over weight elementary school students with those of desirable-weight children. Anthropometric parameters such as height, weight, BMI, body fat percentile, triceps skin fold thickness were measured. Dietary assessment and blood analysis were performed. The average ages of over weight children and desirable-weight children were 10.9$\pm$2.5 and 10.2$\pm$2.8 years, respectively. The means body fat percentile of over weight children and desirable-weight children were 27.5$\pm$3.7% and 20.2$\pm$3.8%. respectively. Plasma levels of TG, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and HDL cholesterol of over weight children and desirable-weight children were 179.3$\pm$30.0, 104.9$\pm$26.6, 52.3$\pm$6.7 and 178.3$\pm$84.1 mg/dl, and those of desirable-weight children were 86.1$\pm$43.5, 183.7$\pm$16.5, 101.0$\pm$2.1 and 67.7$\pm$20.0 mg/dl, respectively. Plasma TG levels of over weight children were significantly higher than those of desirable weight children. On the other hand, plasma HDL-cholesterol levels of over weight children were significantly lower than those of desirable-weight children. Plasma levels of GOT and GPT were in normal range in both group however, GPT level of over weight children was higher than that of desirable weight children. Plasma levels of albumin, globulin, and BUN were all in normal range and no differences were found in both groups. Hematologic data did not show any difference between two groups except WBC, RBC and Hgb levels which were significantly higher in over weight group than those of desirable-weight children. Daily nutrients intake of over weight children and desirable-weight children were very similar and they were around the Korean RDA levels for each nutrients. However the intake of calcium of both groups were little over 50% of RDA. The consumption of dietary fiber was very low and the cholesterol intake was very high showing that the habitual meals of Korean school children were not well balanced.

충남 일부 지역 초등학생의 영양교육에 대한 인식 및 영양지식 실태 (Perception of Nutritional Education and Status of Nutrition Knowledge in Elementary School Students in Chungnam Area)

  • To supply basic data for systemic nutrition education, perception of nutrition education and nutrition knowledge was investigated in elementary school students (4~6th grade) in Chungnam province. Forty-six percent of students had a normal level of interest in nutrition, and 43.8% of students had a normal level of nutrition knowledge. Male students (56.1%) and female students (43.7%) wanted nutrition education via lectures in class (p<0.001), with a significant difference based on gender. In addition, most students wanted 'cooking' as nutrition education content, with a significant difference based on gender (p<0.001). Approximately 59% of students (boys 53.7% and girls 64.6%) responded that the reason not to practice the contents of nutrition education is 'not interested' (male 44%, female 34.1%) (p<0.05). For necessity of nutrition education, 38.1% of subjects answered 'normal', and 42.8% of students responded that nutrition education is not helpful since there is no interest. On the contrary, necessity of nutrition education was recognized by 30.8% of male students and 30.8% of female students for prevention of obesity and health life with a balanced diet, respectively. Students (66%) wanted a nutrition teacher, and 33.2% of male students wanted nutrition education once a month, whereas 34.5% of female students wanted it once a week (p<0.01). And 54.8% of students responded that current frequency of nutrition education is adequate. The average score of nutrition knowledge for female students was higher than that of male students, and a higher grade received a higher score of nutrition knowledge. The level of nutrition knowledge was not relevant to the actual score of the individual. Based on this result, it is necessary to activate and expand nutrition education in elementary schools to emphasize the importance of nutrition education. Additionally, future nutrition education should be more available to practice in life as well as improvement of nutrition knowledge. Investigation into nutrition knowledge according to gender and grade is necessary for continuous and systemic nutrition education.
