We have developed a realtime phonetic typewriter implemented on IBM PC with sound card based on Windows 95. In this system, analyzing of speech signal, learning of neural network, labeling of output neurons and visualizing of recognition results are performed on realtime. The developing environment for speech processing is established by adding various functions, such as editing, saving, loading of speech data and 3-D or gray level displaying of spectrogram. Recognition experimental using Korean phone had a 71.42% for 13 basic consonant and 90.01% for 7 basic vowel accuracy.

This paper deals with the method of solving the problem of editing data in the former file-based power system analγsis program. It gives more convenient and effective to user. Also, a method to use the rowel-system analysis program based in the web interface is presented.

In this paper a computer program has been developed using IT technologies for load flow analysis. The program is written in the Java language for the platform and operating system independence. The software technique, such as Standard Widget Toolkit (SWT), Graphical Editing Framework (GEF), and Java web start, are used for the program. The program also has Graphical User Interface (GUI) to enable users to construct power system displays through simple mouse clicks and map directly into visual power system elements on the screen. The input data of the elements of power system can be entered on the screen. The results of the program cail be checked on the screen.

본 연구는 사용자에게 편리한 사용자 인터페이스를 제공하는 멀티미디어 동영상 저작도구를 개발하여 가상 교육의 효율적인 환경을 제공하고자 한다. 각각의 멀티미디어 데이터를 하나의 동기화 된 멀티미디어 컨텐츠로 통합하여 저작하고 편집하기 위하여 멀티미디어 재생 속성들로부터 XML문서로 변환하는 방법을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 저작도구를 활용하여 동영상 강의를 손쉽게 저작할 수 있으며, 웹 문서로의 빠른 전환이 가능하다.

웹 사이트를 방문하는 인터넷 사용자들의 빈도에 따라 웹사이트의 성능 과 그 품질이 평가되곤한다. 본 논문에서는 각 웹페이지의 관계 대중성을 측정하여 그 값을 계산함으로서, 취약한 웹페이지를 자동으로 재구성 할수 있는 방법과 개선방법을 제시한다. 여기서 관계 대중성에 관한 계수는 웹사이트를 방문하는 사용자가 얼마나 빠르고 쉽게 요청한 자료를 얻을 수 있는 지와 링크 구성의 트리의 깊이에 대한 접근성에 따라서 좌우된다.

This paper describes CAD tools for the construction of image database in IC chip analysis CAD system. For IC chip analysis by high-resolution microscopy, the image database is essential to manage more than several thousand images. But manual database construction is error-prone and time-consuming. In order to solve this problem, we develop a set of CAD toos that include image grabber to capture chip images, image editor to make the whole chip image database from the grabbed images, and image divider to reconstruct the database that consists of evenly overlapped images for efficient region search. we also develop an interactive pattern matching method for user-friendly image editing, and a heuristic region search method for fast image division. The tools are developed with a high-performance graphic hardware with JPEG image comparession chip to process the huge color image data. The tools are under the field test and experimental resutls show that the database construction time can be redcued in 1/3 compared to manual database construction.

This paper presents the study on the development of a DNC, system IPIS(Interactive Plant Information System)/DNC, which can manage NC machines and robots as a distributed control method in the machine. processing factory. The IPIS/DNC system is composed of a host computer, satellites and NC machines. A set of software modules are developed on the host computer and the satellites separately. By modularizing each functions of the IPIS/DNC system and using multi-taking method, the functions such as NC program management, NC program distribution, and shop monitoring can be performed on the host computer, and the functions such as NC program transfer to the NC machines, and NC program editing can be performed on the satellites. A Relational database which is linked with job scheduling system is used for IPIS/DNC system.

Industrial ventilation is one of crucial engineering measures to protect workers from hazardous airborne contaminants. Designing a ventilation system is not an easy task. To solve this problem, U.S. computer programs and softwares have been developed. In Korea, a software, called as VPMC(Velocity Pressure Method Calculation), was developed by Korean Industrial Safety Corporation. Since VPMC is a DOS-based software, it could not be a user-friendly one. In this study, a Windows-based software was thus developed to overcome the difficulty in using a software for designing the ventilation system. As far as we know, this kind of Windows-based software is the first in the world. But this software should be kept being revised. The future work would include introduction of GUI(Graphic User Interface) and enhancement of editing functions by using Data-Base programs.

Many visualization tools have been designed to aid information processing during whole genome projects. We have developed a trace viewer program, ChroView, which can read a chromatogram file and display the chromatogram traces of the four bases. The program can be used to examine sequencing quality and base-calling errors. It can also help researchers to edit and save base-calling results while browsing the traces. Additionally, this program has a basecalling feature which can produce supplementary data for validation of the results from other base-calling programs.

Computer graphics mean a reproduction of various information through image processing or the technology that is widely thought in makeup areas also, recently. Especially, Adobe Illustrator, unlike Adobe Photoshop used in image editing and correction, is software suitable for image drawing and reproducing beauty makeup. Beauty makeup is a work adorning human body to fit to the aesthetic standard in that period, and is a plastic art expressing shapes, colors and textures using design elements. Adobe Illustrator is a 2D graphics designing images using shapes having plane colors. In this study I studied techniques reproducing each element of contours and colors of beauty makeup through Adobe Illustrator CS. In other words, I have prepared a reference data by studying techniques reproducing beauty makeup using Adobe Illustrator CS. In this study, though, I couldn't try various things, because I limited facial contour and skin color to only one kind. Therefore, I hope, in the future, others can expand the ethnics of using Adobe Illustrator in more enriched ways by working on various facial contours and skin colors.
