전기로 온도제어를 위한 화면감시 제어기 설계 (A Design of a Screen Monitoring Controller for the Electric Furnace Temperature Control)

  • In this paper, a temperature controller with monitor function is proposed for the electric furnace system. This controller includes holding and ramp control function, and the control program for the temperature process monitor of the electric furnace. For this purpose, the implementation and performance of auto tuning algorithms in a computer-based controller was studied in relation to the control of nonlinear electric furnace system which is characterized with large delay time. The control program for this controller programmed by c-language. To communicate a control and detection signals, between the controller and the electric furnace is implemented by the I/O data card. We apply the temperature controller to the practical electric furnace. As a result, the proposed controller shows the better status characteristic.

LQG design scheme for multiple vibration controllers in a data center facility

  • This study proposes a scheme to design control parameters for a data center facility with a vibration controller on its top floor and a secondary isolation device with its own vibration controller designed to protect vibration-sensitive computer equipment. The aim is to reduce the effects of acceleration and drift from an earthquake on computer servers placed on the isolation device that must operate during a seismic event. A linear elastic model is constructed and the evaluation function of the linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) control is formulated. The relationship between the control parameters and the responses is examined, and based on the observations, a control parameter design scheme is constructed to reduce the responses of both the building and the computer server effectively.

  • An increasing attention is paid to STEP-NC, the next generation CNC controller interfacing STEP-compatible data. In this paper, we first propose an Architecture for the STEP-NC (called FBCC: Feature Baled CNC Controller) accepting feature code compatible with STEP-data, and executing NC motion feature by feature while monitoring the execution status. The main thrust of the paper has been to develop an automatic on-line tool path generation and modification scheme for milling operation. The tool path it generated iota each feature by decomposing into a finite number of primitive features. The key function in the new scheme is haw to accommodate unexpected execution results. In our scheme, the too1 path plinker is designed to have a tracing capability iota the tool path execution so that a new path can be generated from the point where the operation is stopped. An illustrative example is included to show the capability of the developed algorithm.

  • In this paper, we propose new digital optimal control approach for controlling continuous-time nonlinear chaotic systems, which show very complex behavior and cannot be easily controlled by conventional control methods. Most real systems are represented as continuous-time system, whereas some control methods should be implemented under the condition of computer-based platforms, which are discrete-time systems. To achieve the control objective for chaotic systems successfully, the sampled-data controller, which considers the inter-sample behavior of the continuous-time systems effectively, should be needed.   • Gas turbine engines are widely used as prime movers of generator and propulsion system in warships. This study addresses the problem of designing a DS-based PID controller for speed control of the LM-2500 gas turbine engine used for propulsion in warships. To this end, we first derive a dynamic model of the LM-2500 using actual sea trail data. Next, the PRC (process reaction curve) method is used to approximate the first-order plus time delay (FOPTD) model, and the DS-based PID controller design technique is proposed according to approximation of the time delay term. The proposed controller conducts set-point tracking simulation using MATLAB (2016b), and evaluates and compares the performance index with the existing control methods. As a result of simulation at each operating point, the proposed controller showed the smallest in %OS, which means that the rpm does not change rapidly. In addition, IAE and IAC were also the smallest, showing the best result in error performance and controller effort.

  • In this paper, we study the robot controller design using the voice and data communication via CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) mobile communication network. We design the robot remote controller using the three methods, telephone call speech recognition, DTMF (Dual Tone Multiple Frequency) realization, SMS(Short Message Service) transmission/reception way via CDMA mobile communication network. We investigate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed remote controller which applied to the mobile robot.

  • 복잡한 Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) 기반 클라이언트 개발에 있어, 그 개발편의성을 증대시키고 방대한 코드의 유지보수성을 개선하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 MVC (Model-View-Client) 프레임워크 기술을 변형한 CVC (Communicator-View-Controller) 아키텍처 패턴을 제안한다. 제안된 CVC 아키텍처 패턴은 Ajax 기반 클라이언트가 공통적으로 가지게 되는 데이터 추출을 위한 비동기 통신 관련 코드를 Communicator 영역으로 분류함으로써, 그래픽 디자인 영역에 해당하는 View와, View 계층에 효과적으로 데이터를 갱신하는 Controller 영역으로 개발 코드를 구분한다. 이와 같은 구분을 통해 Ajax 기반 클라이언트 개발의 방법을 서술적으로 개념화시킴으로써, Ajax 관련 코드를 효과적으로 모듈화 하여 재사용하고 그래픽 디자인을 독립적으로 처리할 수 있도록 하여 Ajax 기반 웹 응용의 개발생산성 및 유지보수성을 획기적으로 높일 수 있도록 하였다.

자기저항 센서를 이용한 지능형 자율주행 전기자동차의 신경회로망 조향 제어기 개발 (Development of the Neural Network Steering Controller based on Magneto-Resistive Sensor of Intelligent Autonomous Electric Vehicle)

  • This paper describes a lateral guidance system of an autonomous vehicle, using a neural network model of magneto-resistive sensor and magnetic fields. The model equation was compared with experimental sensing data. We found that the experimental result has a negligible difference from the modeling equation result. We verified that the modeling equation can be used in simulations. As the neural network controller acquires magnetic field values(B$\_$x/, B$\_$y/, B$\_$z/) from the three-axis, the controller outputs a steering angle. The controller uses the back-propagation algorithms of neural network. The learning pattern acquisition was obtained using computer simulation, which is more exact than human driving. The simulation program was developed in order to verify the acquisition of the teaming pattern, teaming itself, and the adequacy of the design controller. The performance of the controller can be verified through simulation. The real autonomous electric vehicle using neural network controller verified good results.

반모서리 기반의 삼각망 자료 구조 개발 (Development of Halfedge-based Triangular Mesh Data Structure)

  • Triangular mesh models are widely used in reverse engineering, computer graphics, rapid prototyping and NC(numerical controller) tool-path generation. Triangular mesh models are generated from point clouds, surface models and solid models. A halfedge-based triangular mesh data structure is proposed and the development considerations are presented. In the presented data structure, halfedge is the key data structure. Halfedge stores its triangle index and the order in the triangle. Triangles do not store the halfedge lists explicitly. Halfedge is referred by value and defined when it is required. Proposed data structure supports four design requirements: efficient rendering, compact memory, supporting efficient algorithms and easy programming.
