PC기반 실시간 소프트웨어 GPS 수신기 설계 (Design of a PC based Real-Time Software GPS Receiver)

  • This paper presents a design of a real-time software GPS receiver which runs on a PC. The software GPS receiver has advantages over conventional hardware based receivers in terms of flexibility and efficiency in application oriented system design and modification. In odor to reduce the processing time of the software operations in the receiver, a shared memory structure is used with a dynamic data control, and the byte-type IF data is processed through an Open Multi-Processing technique in the mixer and integrator which requires the most computational load. A high speed data acquisition device is used to capture the incoming high-rate IF signals. The FFT-IFFT correlation technique is used for initial acquisition and FLL assisted PLL is used for carrier tracking. All software modules are operated in sequence and are synchronized with pre-defined time scheduling. The performance of the designed software GPS receiver is evaluated by running it in real-time using the real GPS signals.

  • In this research, an Electronic White Board Control System is developed that stores and prints the data written on the white board. This control system is constructed using an embedded single board PC, whose function is the acquisition(from CCD image sensor system), processing and storing of the data on the screen. The properties of this system are as follows: 1. The system is able to move the screen on the right and left. 2. The system is able to output the data written on the screen to a connected printer. 3. The system is controlled by an external remote PC connected to the system by serial line as well as by the keys on the control panel.   • In the present study, the unsteady in a square-selctional 180.deg. curved duct are experimentally investigated. The experimental study using air in a square-sectional 180.deg. curved duct is carried out to measure axial velocity distributions with data acquisition and processing system. In this system, Rotating Machinery Resolver(RMR) and PHASE Software are used to obtain the results of unsteady flows. In conclusion, the exact measurement of unsteady flow using LDV system depends upon uniformity of metreials, duct thickness, and scattered particles.

  • 본 논문에는 30 cm 해상도를 갖는 소형 SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) 시스템 개발 결과를 소개하고, RAW 데이터 기반의 도플러 파라미터 추정 및 요동 보상 신호처리 알고리즘을 제시한다. 송수신 채널이 각각 2개이기 때문에 다중 편파 및 간섭계 영상 확보가 가능하며, 차량 탑재 시험을 통하여 다중 편파 SAR 데이터 획득 및 신호 처리 결과를 제시하였다. 플랫폼의 요동에 의한 잔여 위상 오차를 보상하는 알고리즘을 적용하였으며, 실제 차량 탑재 시험을 통하여 요동 보상에 따른 개선된 성능 결과를 제시하였다.

천리안 송수신자료전처리시스템의 궤도상 시험 운영 검증 (In-Orbit Test Operational Validation of the COMS Image Data Acquisition and Control System)

  • 국내 최초의 정지궤도 관측 위성인 천리안(통신해양기상위성)이 2010년 6월 27일에 성공적으로 발사되었다. 천리안에의 기상탑재체와 해양탑재체의 원시 영상은 지상에서 처리 과정을 거쳐 사용자에게 전달되다. 한국항공우주연구원의 주도로 국내 개발된 송수신자료전처리시스템은 원시 영상에 복사 및 기하 보정을 수행하고, 전처리된 영상과 부가 자료들을 위성을 통해 사용자들에게 분배하는 기능을 수행한다. 궤도상 시험을 성공적으로 완료한 송수신자료전처리시스템은 기상위성센터, 해양위성센터, 그리고 위성운영센터에 설치되어 현재 정상 운영 중에 있다. 궤도상 시험 기간 동안 송수신자료전처리시스템의 기능과 성능에 대한 검증은 1) 영상 송수신, 2) 기상 및 해양 영상의 전처리, 그리고 3) 사용자 분배 기능으로 나뉘어 수행되었다. 이 논문은 천리안 위성 발사 후 수행된 송수신자료전처리시스템의 궤도상 시험 운영 검증 결과를 기술한다.

PXI 버스를 이용한 강인한 범용계측시스템 개발 (Development of Robust Embedded Measurement System by Using PXI Bus)

  • Many instrumentations have been used to acquire the performance data of military systems fer many years. But they could not satisfy environmental specifications(vibration, shock, temperature) and processing speed to apply for the performance test of military systems because of having developed as common vehicles/fixed installation equipments. Thus a new rugged embedded measurement system is required to process large data in high processing speed(Maximum sample rate:1.25Mhz/ch) with rugged environmental specifications. We have developed embedded measurement systems by using PXI(PCI extension for Instrumentation)bus interface composed of a stand alone controller and versatile data acquisition boards(analog, digital, vision, temperature and small signal conditioner) on PC-based environment to solve these problems. Operation programs have been developed using Lab_View and the performances have been validated experimentally.

  • 한국원자력연구소 부지에는 연구용 원자로, 원전연료, 가공시설 등 여러 원자력시설이 운영되고 있다. 이들 시설로부터 방사성물질이 누출되는 경우 방사성물질의 대기중 확산, 이동, 침적 등의 환경내 거동을 해석하기 위해 한국원자력 연구소에서는 기상정보 인지시스템 (MDAS) 및 처리시스템 (MIPS)을 개발하여 운영하고 있다. MIPS에서는 각 기상정보를 쉽게 파악할 수 있도록 컴퓨터 화면상에 그래픽으로 순간 및 시간에 따른 관측치의 변화량을 제시할 수 있게 하였다. 이러한 MDAS와 MIPS는 자체 개발된 실시간 방사선 피폭해석시스템 (FADAS)과 온라인으로 연결되어 만일의 원자력시설의 사고 시 주변주민의 대피 또는 소개 등 신속한 비상대응책의 결정에도 매우 유용하게 이용할 수 있다

  • Contrary to the traditional text-based information, 4S(GIS,GNSS,SIIS,ITS) information can contribute to the citizen's welfare in upcoming era. Recently, GSIS(Geo-Spatial Information System) has been applied and stressed out in various fields. As analyzed the data from GSIS arena, the position information of objects and targets is crucial and critical. Therefore, several methods of getting and knowing position are proposed and developed. From this perspective, Position collection and processing are the heart of 4S technology. We develop 4S-Van that enables real-time acquisition of position and attribute information and accurate image data in remote site. In this study, the configuration of 4S-Van equipped with GPS, INS, CCD and eye-safe laser scanner is shown and the merits of DGPS/INS integration approach for geo-referencing is briefly discussed. The algorithm of DGPS/INS integration fur determination of six parameters of motion is eccential in the 4S-Van to avoid or simplify the complicated computation such as photogrammetric triangulation. 4S-Van has the application of Laser-Mobile Mapping System for three-dimensional data acquisition that merges the texture information from CCD camera. The technique is also applied in the fields of virtual reality, car navigation, computer games, planning and management, city transportation, mobile communication, etc.

  • In this paper we proposed backward fuzzy Petri-net to diagnoses faults in power systems by using the time sequence information of protection system. As the complexity of power systems increases, especially in the case of multiple faults or incorrect operation of protective devices, fault diagnosis requires new and systematic methods to the reasoning process, which improves both its accuracy and its efficiency. The fuzzy Petri-net models of protection system are composed of the operating process of protective devices and the fault diagnosis process. Fault diagnosis model, which makes use of the nature of fuzzy Petri-net, is developed to overcome the drawbacks of methods that depend on operator knowledge. The proposed method can reduce processing time and increase accuracy when compared with the traditional methods. And also this method covers online processing of real-time data from SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)

Towards Cyber Security Risks Assessment in Electric Utility SCADA Systems

  • This paper presents a unified model based assessment framework to quantify threats and vulnerabilities associated with control systems, especially in the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system. In the past, this system was primarily utilized as an isolated facility on a local basis, and then it started to be integrated with wide-area networks as the communication technology would make rapid progress. The introduction of smart grid, which is an innovative application of digital processing and communications to the power grid, might lead to more and more cyber threats originated from IT systems. However, an up-to-date power system often requires the real-time operations, which clearly implies that the cyber security would turn out to be a complicated but also crucial issue for the power system. In short, the purpose of this paper is to streamline a comprehensive approach to prioritizing cyber security risks which are expressed by the combination of threats, vulnerabilities, and values in the SCADA components.
