제조업 분야에서 Product Data Management 기반의 BSC 성과평가 시스템 구축 사례 연구 (A Case Study of Implementation of a BSC Performance Evaluation System in Manufacturing Industry based on Product Data Management)

  • In complex industrial world, many companies make every effort to analyze their competition capability through various performance evaluation tools to cope with rapidly changing business environment. Among evaluation tools the balanced scorecard (BSC), put forward by Kaplan and Norton in 1992, is a strategic performance management tool for measuring whether the smaller-scale operational activities of a company are aligned with its larger-scale objectives in terms of vision and strategy. The BSC tool offers a comparative advantage over others to evaluate the objective achievement of a company by linking its strategic objectives with operational KPI. In this paper, we introduce a case that the BSC performance evaluation system was implemented based on product data management and applied it to the business process. Specially, we shows a implementation procedure to derive discipline-specific topics and key performance metrics.

Developing a semi-automatic data conversion tool for Korean ecological data standardization

  • Recently, great demands are rising around the globe for monitoring and studying of long-term ecological changes. To go with the stream, many researchers in South Korea have attempted to share and integrate ecological data for practical use. Although some achievements were made in the meantime, we still have to overcome a big obstacle that existing ecological data in South Korea are mostly spread all over the country in various formats of computer files. In this study, we aim to handle the situation by developing a semi-automatic data conversion tool for Korean ecological data standardization, based on some predefined protocols for ecological data collection and management. The current implementation of this tool works on only five species (libythea celtis, spittle bugs, mosquitoes, pinus, and quercus mongolica), helping data managers to quickly and efficiently obtain a standardized format of ecological data from raw collection data. With this tool, the procedure of data conversion is divided into four steps: data file and protocol selection step, species selection step, attribute mapping step, and data standardization step. To find the usability of this tool, we utilized it to conduct the standardization of raw five species data collected from six different observatory sites of Korean National Parks. As a result, we could obtain a common form of standardized data in a relatively short time. With the help of this tool, various ecological data could be easily integrated into the nationwide common platform, providing broad applicability towards solving many issues in ecological and environmental system.

  • As development of information technology, companies stress the need of knowledge management. Companies construct ERP system including knowledge management. But, it is not easy to formalize knowledge in organization. They experience that constructing information system help knowledge management. Now, we focus on engineering knowledge. Because engineering data contains experts' experience and know-how in its own, engineering knowledge is a treasure house of knowledge. Korean shipyards are leader of world shipbuilding industry. They have accumulated a store of knowledge and data. But, they don't have data mining tool to utilize accumulated data. This paper treats development of data mining tools for the utilization of shipbuilding knowledge based on genetic programming(GP).

재가장애인 사례관리의 욕구사정 정확도 향상을 위한 사정도구 개발과 욕구추출 알고리즘 과정 연구 - 데이터 마이닝 분석기법을 활용하여 - (Development of Needs Assessment tool and Extraction Algorithm Fitting for Individuals in Care Management for the disabled in Home)

  • 본 연구는 지역사회 내에 거주하는 재가 장애인의 신체적, 심리적, 사회 환경적 상황을 종합적으로 평가하여 그에 적합한 서비스를 제공하기 위한 욕구 중심의 사정도구를 개발하고, 개발된 도구를 활용하여 재가 장애인 200명의 사정 데이터를 수집한 후 데이터마이닝의 의사결정 나무분석 기법을 활용하여 욕구에 적합한 서비스제공을 위한 욕구 추출 알고리즘을 구성하였다. 본 연구는 2006년 6월부터 10월까지 5개월간 이루어졌으며, 크게 사정도구 개발과 개발된 도구를 활용한 욕구추출 과정으로 나뉠 수 있다. 도구개발은 문헌고찰을 통하여 기본적인 틀을 구성하였고, 포커스집단과 전문가들을 통하여 사정도구의 주관적 호소와 욕구 문항을 개발하였으며, 도구의 타당도를 확인하기 위해 통계적인 검증과정을 거쳤다. 검증결과 본 도구는 <표 2>와 <표 3>의 결과처럼 타당도와 신뢰도를 확보하였으며, 이 도구를 활용하여 욕구추출 알고리즘 요약을 <표 5>와 같이 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 제시한 사정도구와 알고리즘은 재가 장애인의 객관적 욕구를 사정하고 확인함으로써 체계적인 사례관리를 수행하는 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

Specially, in case of the company that constructs the engineering plant, PLM can be a key success tool for the innovation with ERP and Enterprise IT Systems. This paper describes the innovation strategy for engineering plant PLM including Master Data management, EPC project management, full 3D modeling and quality management.

참고정보원 관리도구의 사용성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Usability Evaluation of Reference Resources Management Tools)

  • 본 연구는 참고정보원 관리도구를 데스크탑 기반, 웹 기반, 웹 2.0 기반의 세 가지 유형으로 구분하고, 각 유형에 대한 대표적인 도구를 선정하여 각 도구의 제공기능에 대한 비교 분석과 이용자 중심에서 사용성을 비교 평가하기 위한 것이다. 도구의 제공기능에 대한 조사를 위해 먼저 각 도구의 제공기능에 대한 비교분석을 수행하였다. 유형별 도구에 대한 사용성 평가는 실험 후 각 참고정보원 관리도구의 만족도, 이해 편리성, 적합성, 효율성에 대한 비교 연구로 진행하였으며, 정량적 연구방법과 정성적 연구방법을 병행하였다. 정량적 연구의 데이터 수집을 위한 조사도구로 설문조사를 사용하였으며, 정성적 연구는 각각의 실험자에 대한 면담을 통하여 그 내용을 분석하였다. 유형별 참고정보원 관리도구에 대한 사용성 비교 평가를 통해 얻어진 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이용자 만족도의 평균값은 도구 B(웹 기반)가 가장 높았으며, 다음으로 도구 A(데스크탑 기반), 도구 C(웹 2.0 기반) 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 이해 편리성은 도구 B, 도구 C, 도구 A 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 적합성은 도구 A, 도구 B, 도구 C 순으로 나타났다. 넷째, 효율성은 도구 B, 도구 A, 도구 C 순으로 나타났다.

  • 디지털 포렌식은 기기에 내장된 디지털 자료를 근거로 삼아 발생한 행위에 대한 사실관계를 규명하고 증명하는 신규 보안서비스이다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 포렌식 수행 절차인 증거 수집, 증거 분석, 증거 제출에 사용할 수 있는 디지털 포렌식 도구를 구현하였다. 이 디지털 포렌식 도구는 누구나 쉽게 분석할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 직관적인 GUI를 제공하고, 간단한 조작만으로도 활성 데이터를 수집, 분석할 수 있고, 많은 시간과 노력을 감소시키고, 신뢰성이 있는 자료를 제공할 수 있다.

방침경영시스템 운영기록의 유용성 제고에 관한 고찰 (A study on improving the usability of records of policy management system operation)

  • Two functions are considerable in the record management of policy management system operation. The first one is to prove that shows the conforming status of the management system requirements. The second one is to prove that shows the performing status whether the policy management system is operating effectively to the company. However, the second function requires the high level data analysis techniques, and it is more important for the decision making of the company operations. That is, the second function is more closer than the first function to the top manager's policy management tool. This paper is prepared to offer a study on the desirable record management which is necessary to the scientific decision making process. The scientific decision making requires the analysis of data derived from the reliable records. It is also aimed to enlighten the relations between the reliability of records and the adoption of the results of analysis in associated with the top manager's decision making.

A Study on Fusion and Visualization using Multibeam Sonar Data with Various Spatial Data Sets for Marine GIS

  • According to the remarkable advances in sonar technology, positioning capabilities and computer processing power we can accurately image and explore the seafloor in hydrography. Especially, Multibeam Echo Sounder can provide nearly perfect coverage of the seafloor with high resolution. Since the mid-1990's, Multibeam Echo Sounders have been used for hydrographic surveying in Korea. In this study, new marine data set as an effective decision-making tool in various fields was proposed by visualizing and combining with Multibeam sonar data and marine spatial data sets such as satellite image and digital nautical chart. The proposed method was tested around the port of PyeongTaek-DangJin in the west coast of Korea. The Visualization and fusion methods are described with various marine data sets with processing. We demonstrated that new data set in marine GIS is useful in safe navigation and port management as an efficient decision-making tool.

중소기업의 BSC활용방안에 관한 연구 : 인사평가제도 시스템 구축 사례 (A Study on the application of Balanced Scorecard in Small Business: A case of development of a Human Resource Evaluation System)

  • The balanced scorecard has drawn attention from many researchers in various fields since its appearance in 1992. It became a norm for performance evaluation framework in many areas, such as marketing, information system evaluation, strategic planning, etc. Centered in the large companies in Korea, the balanced scorecard has been popularly used as a performance evaluation tool for human resource management. Now we Question its applicability to performance evaluation tool even in small business. This study tried to apply the balanced scorecard in developing an information system for performance evaluation in a small business. The study showed that the balanced scorecard can be nicely used in small business as a performance evaluation tool. The process of developing an information system is described in detail. The practitioners are to obtain a lot of insights in designing their human resource management systems from the study results.
