The most basic forces of stock market are supply and demand, which increases or decreases on the basis of information. The crucial point is that investor's perception is depending on the availability of information at a particular time. But it is very difficult to understand what they take from a piece of information, and the decision varies from person to person; hence, it is important to understand the behavior of investors in the stock market. In this context, this study is focusing on behavioral investor-type diagnosis testing among financial market players (FMPs) in Oman. The study conducted a review of behavioral types among stock market investors, and attempted to assess the influence of age and gender factors on investor bias. It classifies investor type biases according to the gender and age of respondents. This study employs primary data with a structured questionnaire distributed to an equal number of male and female stock market investors in Muscat Securities Market. The study used sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, CATPCA and ALSCAL to identify the significant difference among age, gender and experience of the respondents. The present study found that all of the investors are influenced by different cognitive biases and, moreover, it depends on investor's gender.
Purpose: This study investigates the relationship between earnings forecasts estimated from a cross-sectional earnings forecast model and firm characteristics such as firm size, sales volatility, and earnings volatility. Research design, data and methodology: The association between earnings forecasts and the aforementioned firm characteristics is examined using 214 firm-year observations with analyst following and 848 firm-year observations without analyst following for the period of 2011-2019. I estimate future earnings using a cross-sectional earnings forecast model, and then compare these model-based earnings forecasts with analysts' earnings forecasts in terms of forecast bias and forecast accuracy. The earnings forecast bias and accuracy are regressed on firm size, sales volatility, and earnings volatility. Results: For a sample with analyst following, I find that the model-based earnings forecasts are more accurate as the firm size is larger, whereas the analysts' earnings forecasts are less biased and more accurate as the firm size is larger. However, for a sample without analyst following, I find that the model-based earnings forecasts are more pessimistic and less accurate as firms' past earnings are more volatile. Conclusions: Although model-based earnings forecasts are useful for evaluating firms without analyst following, their accuracy depends on the firms' earnings volatility.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects and characteristics of health care programs for pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in Korea. Methods: This study was conducted according to the Cochrane Collaboration's systematic literature review handbook and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses reporting guideline. We searched eight international and domestic electronic databases for relevant studies. Two reviewers independently selected the studies and extracted data. For each study, information on the research method, participants, characteristics of the program, and results were extracted using a previously established coding table. The National Evidence-based Healthcare Collaborating Agency's risk of bias assessment tool for non-randomized studies was used to assess the risk of bias of the included articles. A qualitative review of the selected studies was performed because the interventions differed considerably and the measured outcomes varied. Results: Out of 128 initially identified papers, seven were included in the final analysis. The risk of bias was evaluated as generally low. Health care programs for pregnant women with GDM showed positive effects on blood glucose control. Anxiety and depression were reduced, and self-management and self-care behavior, self-efficacy, and maternal identity improved. Conclusion: Our study provides clinical evidence for the effectiveness of health care programs for pregnant women with GDM, and its results can be used to support the development of health care programs for GDM. More well-designed research is needed on GDM, especially studies that deal with emotional stress and apply a family-oriented approach.

The determination of the geoid in South Korea is a national imperative for the modernization of height datums, specifically the orthometric height and the dynamic height, that are used to monitor hydrological systems and environments with accuracy and easy revision, if necessary. The geometric heights above a reference ellipsoid, routinely obtained by GPS, lead immediately to vertical control with respect to the geoid for hydrological purposes if the geoid height above the ellipsoid is known accurately. The geoid height is determined from gravimetric data, traditionally ground data, but in recent times also from airborne data. This paper illustrates the basic concepts for combining these two types of data and gives a preliminary performance assessment of either set or their combination for the determination of the geoid in South Korea. It is shown that the most critical aspect of the combination is the gravitational effect of the topographic masses above the geoid, which, if not properly taken into account, introduces a significant bias of about 8 mgal in the gravity anomalies, and which can lead to geoid height bias errors of up to 10 cm. It is further confirmed and concluded that achieving better than 5 cm precision in geoid heights from gravimetry remains a challenge that can be surmounted only with the proper combination of terrestrial and airborne data, thus realizing higher data resolution over most of South Korea than currently available solely from the airborne data.

Technique for the long-gap filling that occur frequently in ocean monitoring data is developed. The method estimates the unknown values of the long-gap by the summation of the estimated trend and selected residual components of the given missing intervals. The method was used to impute the data of the long-term missing interval of about 1 month, such as temperature and water temperature of the Ulleungdo ocean buoy data. The imputed data showed differences depending on the monitoring parameters, but it was found that the variation pattern was appropriately reproduced. Although this method causes bias and variance errors due to trend and residual components estimation, it was found that the bias error of statistical measure estimation due to long-term missing is greatly reduced. The mean, and the 90% confidence intervals of the gap-filling model's RMS errors are 0.93 and 0.35~1.95, respectively.

This study estimated and evaluated the high resolution (1km) gridded mountain meteorology data of daily mean, maximum and minimum temperature based on ASOS (Automated Surface Observing System), AWS (Automatic Weather Stations) and AMOS (Automatic Mountain Meteorology Observation System) in South Korea. The ASOS, AWS, and AMOS meteorology data which were located above 200m was classified as mountainous area. And the ASOS, AWS, and AMOS meteorology data which were located under 200m was classified as non-mountainous area. The bias-correction method was used for correct air temperature over complex mountainous area and the performance of enhanced daily coefficients based on the AMOS and mountainous area observing meteorology data was evaluated using the observed daily mean, maximum and minimum temperature. As a result, the evaluation results show that RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) of air temperature using the enhanced coefficients based on the mountainous area observed meteorology data is smaller as 30% (mean), 50% (minimum), and 37% (maximum) than that of using non-mountainous area observed meteorology data. It indicates that the enhanced weather coefficients based on the AMOS and mountain ASOS can estimate mean, maximum, and minimum temperature data reasonably and the temperature results can provide useful input data on several climatological and forest disaster prediction studies.
Objectives : The internet is the most common method to investigate information. It is showed that 75.2% of Internet users of 20s had health information search experience. So this study is aim to understanding of interest of public about the herbal medicine using internet search query volume data. Methods : The Naver that is the top internet portal web service of the Republic of Korea has provided an Internet search query volume data from January 2007 to the current through the Naver data lab (http://datalab.naver.com) service. We have collected search query volume data which was provided by the Naver in 606 herbal medicine names and sorted the data by peak and total search volume. Results : The most frequently searched herbal medicines which has less bias and sorted by peak search volume is 'wasong (와송)'. And the most frequently searched herbal medicines which has less bias and sorted by total search volume is 'hasuo (하수오)'.Conclustions : This study is showed that the rank of interest of public about herbal medicines. Among the above herbal medicines, some herbal medicines had supply issue. And there are some other herbal medicines that had very little demand in Korean medicine market, but highly interested public. So it is necessary to monitor for these herbal medicines which is highly interested of the public. Furthermore if the reliability of the data obtained on the basis of these studies, it is possible to be utilizing herbal medicine monitoring service.
As a fundamental study to introduce the reliability-based design code, a statistical study is conducted for the material strength data collected from domestic construction sites. In order to develop a rational design code based on statistics and reliability theory, it is essential to obtain the statistical properties of material strength. Material strength data for concrete, reinforcing bars, and prestressing strands which are used in domestic construction sites are collected and statistically analyzed. Then, the statistical properties are compared with those used in the process of the reliability-based calibration of internationally leading design codes. The statistical properties of the domestic data are such that the bias factor is relatively uniform between 1.13 and 1.20 and the coefficient of variation is below 0.10. Reinforcing bar data show difference among different manufacturers but there is not much difference among re-bar diameters. In the case of tendons, which are high strength materials, both of the domestic and foreign data show smaller values of the bias factor and the coefficient of variation than those of concrete and re-bar. Statistical distribution of all the material strength can be properly assumed as normal, log-normal, or Gumbel distribution after analyzing the classified data by individual construction site and manufacturer rather than the mixed data obtained from different sources in order to express the individual distribution of each structure.
This article aimed to clear that the systematic bias according to the length of work time exists between estimated work time by self-reported questions used mainly in measuring and calculating the length of work time because of strong points of easy in measuring and so on and diary work time by time-diary method used because of the strong point that can measure more accurate lifetime by recording various activities of respondents during 24 hours in the stream. As the result that analyze the data from Lifetime Use Survey in 2004, the result like the contradiction came that the tendency of overstating work time is rising according as estimated work time increases via estimated work time, whereas the tendency of understating work time is rising according as diary work time increases via diary work time. The reason that the opposite results come despite the data from the same survey is that random errors act in the opposite directions by regression to the mean. Therefore, we cannot emphasize that a man working long hours tends to exaggerate his work hours by the result via estimated work time. That is, the fact that the systematic bias by the increase of work time does not exist is confirmed, and therefore, it is also impossible to raise questions about the accuracy of the data through estimated work time by self-reported questions from the evidence of the existence of that bias.

Purpose : The purpose of this meta-analysis was to evaluate the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation on the lower extremity function of stroke patients. Methods : Domestic data were gathered from studies that conducted clinical trials associated with transcranial direct current stimulation and its impact on lower extremity function of stroke patients. A total of 592 studies published between 2012 and 2020 were identified, with 7 studies satisfying the inclusion data. The studies consisted of patient, intervention, comparison, and outcome (PICO) data. The search outcomes were items associated with muscle activity, balance, muscle strength and walking ability. Cochrane risk of bias (ROB) was used to evaluate the quality of 3 randomized control trials. The quality of 4 non-randomized control trials was evaluated using risk of bias assessment tool for non-randomized studies (RoBANS). Effect sizes in this study were computed as the corrected standard mean difference (SMD). A random-effect model was used to analyze the effect size because of the high heterogeneity among the studies. Egger's regression and 'trim-and-fill' tests were carried out to analyze the publishing bias. Results : The following factors had a large total effect size (Hedges's g=2.10, 95 %CI=1.54~2.66) involving transcranial direct current stimulation on stroke patients: muscle activity (Hedges's g=2.38, 95 %CI=1.08~3.68), balance (Hedges's g4=2.41, 95 %CI=1.33~3.60), walking ability (Hedges's g=1.54, 95 %CI=0.49~2.59), and muscle strength (Hedges's g=2.45, 95 % CI: 0.85~4.05). Egger's regression test showed that the publishing bias had statistically significant differences but 'trim-and-fill' test showed that there was still statistical difference. Conclusion : This study provides evidence for the effectiveness of transcranial direct current stimulation on the lower extremity in terms of muscle activity, balance, walking ability, and muscle strength in stroke patients. However, due to the low quality of studies and high heterogeneity factors, the results of our study should be interpreted cautiously.
