Finite failure NHPP models presented in the literature exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. In this parer, Goel-Okumoto and Yamada-Ohba-Osaki model was reviewed, proposes the Burr distribution reliability model, which making out efficiency application for software reliability. Algorithm to estimate the parameters used to maximum likelihood estimator and bisection method, model selection based on SSE, AIC statistics and Kolmogorov distance, for the sake of efficient model, was employed. Analysis of failure using real data set for the sake of proposing shape parameter of the Burr distribution was employed. This analysis of failure data compared with the Burr distribution model and the existing model(using arithmetic and Laplace trend tests, bias tests) is presented.
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Lower circulating 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] levels are associated with a higher risk of hypertension (HTN); however, it remains unclear whether the relationship is causal. We aimed to evaluate the causal effects of circulating 25(OH)D levels on the prevalence of HTN in the Korean population using the Mendelian randomization (MR) approach. SUBJECTS/METHODS: Epidemiological data, serum 25(OH)D data, and genomic DNA biospecimens were obtained from 2,591 participants, a subset of the study population in the Korea National Health and Nutrition Survey 2011-2012. Five 25(OH)D-related single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs; DHCR7 rs12785878, CYP2R1 rs10741657, CYP2R1 rs12794714, CYP24A1 rs6013897, and GC rs2282679), identified a priori from genome-wide association studies, were used as instrument variables (IVs) for serum 25(OH)D levels. In the MR analysis, we performed IV analyses using the two-stage least squares method. RESULTS: In the observational analysis, circulating 25(OH)D levels were found to be inversely associated with the HTN prevalence in ordinary least squares models (odds ratio: 0.97, 95% confidence interval: 0.96, 0.99) after adjusting for the potential confounders. There were differences in the circulating 25(OH)D levels across genotypes of individual SNPs. In the MR analysis, using individual SNPs as IVs, 25(OH)D levels were not associated with the HTN prevalence. CONCLUSIONS: We found no association between genetically determined circulating 25(OH)D levels and HTN in Korean adults. Our results are listed owing to the relatively small sample size and possible weak instrument bias; therefore, further studies are needed to confirm these results.

The objective of this study is to evaluate hydrologic impacts of climate change according to downscaling methods using the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model at watershed scale. We used the APCC Integrated Modeling Solution (AIMS) for assessing various General Circulation Models (GCMs) and downscaling methods. AIMS provides three downscaling methods: 1) BCSA (Bias-Correction & Stochastic Analogue), 2) Simple Quantile Mapping (SQM), 3) SDQDM (Spatial Disaggregation and Quantile Delta Mapping). To assess future hydrologic responses of climate change, we adopted three GCMs: CESM1-BGC for flood, MIROC-ESM for drought, and HadGEM2-AO for Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) national standard scenario. Combined nine climate change scenarios were assessed by Expert Team on Climate Change Detection and Indices (ETCCDI). SWAT model was established at the Mankyung watershed and the applicability assessment was completed by performing calibration and validation from 2008 to 2017. Historical reproducibility results from BCSA, SQM, SDQDM of three GCMs show different patterns on annual precipitation, maximum temperature, and four selected ETCCDI. BCSA and SQM showed high historical reproducibility compared with the observed data, however SDQDM was underestimated, possibly due to the uncertainty of future climate data. Future hydrologic responses presented greater variability in SQM and relatively less variability in BCSA and SDQDM. This study implies that reasonable selection of GCMs and downscaling methods considering research objective is important and necessary to minimize uncertainty of climate change scenarios.

The present paper describes an application of UA(Uncertainty Analysis) to seakeeping model test, basically according to the Performance Test Code of ASME(American Society of Mechanical Engineers), in which all the possible error sources involved in the preparation of test, calibration of instruments, data acquisition and analysis are quantified, and summed up with error propagation coefficients to the final uncertainties. The differences between the static test such as resistance and propulsion test and the dynamic test like seakeeping test are clearly identified during all the procedures of UA and asymmetric bias errors are considered. The DRE(data reduction equation) subject to present UA are the heave and pitch response amplitude operator and nondimensionalized absolute frequency. The usefulness of UA in seakeeping test were confirmed not only for quantifying errors and improving measurement accuracy but also for the validation of various seakeeping analysis tools.
This study was conducted to estimate site productivity of Quercus acutissima and Quercus mongolica by four forest climatic zones. We used site environmental variables (28 geographical and pedological factors) and site index as a site productivity indicator from nation-wide 23,315 stands. Based on multiple regression analysis between site index and major environmental variables, the best-fit multivaliate models were made by each species and forest climatic zone. Most of site index prediction models by species were regressed with seven to eight factors, including altitude, relief, soil depth, and soil moisture etc. For those models, three evaluation statistics such as mean difference, standard deviation of difference, and standard error of difference were applied to the test data set for the validation of the results. According to the evaluation statistics, it was found that the models by climatic zones and species fitted well to the test data set with relatively low bias and variation. Also having above middle of site index range, total area of productive sites for the two Quercus spp. estimated by those models would be about 6% of total forest area. Northern temperate forest zone and central temperate forest zone had more productive area than southern temperate forest zone and warm temperate forest zone. As a result, it was concluded that the regressive prediction with site environmental variables by climatic zones and species had enough estimation capability of forest site productivity.

Objective : This systematic review was conducted to investigate the effect of herbal medicine on Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) infection compared to amoxicillin included synthetic drugs. Methods : Relevant randomized controlled trials(RCTs) which were published prior to December 26, 2020, were collected using PubMED database. Risk of bias evaluation and data extraction were done independently by two reviewers, and the third reviewer reassessed mismatching parts. Results : Two RCTs testing two different herbal medicines against synthetic drugs solitary treatment or synthetic drugs with placebo for herbal medicine were included. One study reported that there was no significant difference between the eradication rate of synthetic drugs and the herbal medicine. The other study did not report the eradication rate of the herbal medicine. One study reported histologic severity, the other reported dyspepsia score as efficacy indicators. There was no adverse event reported in all studies. However, the number of included RCTs was too small, the quality of reported data was not enough to verify efficacy of herbal medicine, and there were some methodological problems. Conclusion : It was difficult to conclude that solitary treatment of herbal medicine was as effective as amoxicillin included synthetic drugs for H. pylori infection.

The technology used to recognize the location and surroundings of autonomous vehicles is called SLAM. SLAM standsfor Simultaneously Localization and Mapping and hasrecently been actively utilized in research on autonomous vehicles, starting with robotic research. Expensive GPS, INS, LiDAR, RADAR, and Wheel Odometry allow precise magnetic positioning and mapping in centimeters. However, if it can secure similar accuracy as using cheaper Cameras and GPS data, it will contribute to advancing the era of autonomous driving. In this paper, we present a method for converging monocular camera with RTK-enabled GPS data to perform RMSE 33.7 cm localization and mapping on the urban road.
Amorphous Si has been used for data processing circuits in flat panel displays. However, low mobility of the amorphous Si is a limiting factor for the data transmission speed. Metal oxides such as ZnO have been studied to replace the amorphous Si. ZnO is a wide bandgap (3.3 eV) semiconductor with high mobility and good optical transparency. When ZnO is grown by sputtering with $O_2$ as an oxidizer, there can be many ion species arising from $O_2$ decomposition. $O^+$, $O_2{^+}$, and $O^-$ ions are expected to be the most abundant species, and it is not clear which one contributes to the ZnO growth. We applied alternating substrate voltage (0 V and -70 V) during sputtering growth. We studied changes in transistor characteristics induced by the voltage switching. We also compared ZnO grown by dc and rf sputtering. ZnO film was grown at $450^{\circ}C$ substrate temperature. ZnO thin-film transistor grown with these methods showed $7.5cm^2/Vsec$ mobility, $10^6$ on-off ratio, and -2 V threshold voltage.

Objectives: This study aimed to describe the process of utilizing a mobile application for ecological momentary assessment (EMA) to collect data on stress and mood in daily life setting. Methods: A mobile application for the Android operating system was developed and installed with a set of questions regarding momentary mood and stress into a smartphone of a participant. The application sets alarms at semi-random intervals in 60-minute blocks, four times a day for 7 days. After obtaining all momentary affect and stress, the questions to assess the usability of the mobile EMA application were also administered. Results: The data were collected from 97 police officers working in Gyeonggi Province of South Korea. The mean completion rate was 60.0% ranging from 3.5% to 100%. The means of positive and negative affect were 18.34 of 28 and 19.09 of 63. The mean stress was 17.92 of 40. Participants responded that the mobile application correctly measured their affect ($4.34{\pm}0.83$) and stress ($4.48{\pm}0.62$) of 5-point Likert scale. Conclusions: Our study investigated the process of utilizing a mobile application to assess momentary affect and stress at repeated times. We found challenges regarding adherence to the research protocol, such as completion and delay of answering after alarm notification. Despite this inherent issue of adherence to the research protocol, the EMA still has advantages of reducing recall bias and assessing the actual moment of interest at multiple time points that improves ecological validity.
The purpose of this study is to explore the multi-dimensionality and the differences of the career success that is revealed by the employee's perception. In order to fulfill the research purpose, LDA topic modeling has applied to extract latent topics of career success from 126 Korean employees' open-end survey questionnaires. The extracted latent topics are social recognition, continuing service within an organization, expertise, financial rewards, and pursuing personal meaning. The occurrence probability of each topic was different by individual characteristics such as gender, education, position. Study findings showed there is multi-dimensionality in career success, and there are differences of topic occurrence probability by demographic characteristics. Additionally, this study showed how to apply the recently developed machine learning approach in order to reduce the researcher's bias by adapting the LDA topic modeling to the qualitative open-ended survey data.
