A study on CFRP based lightweight House deck structure design and configuration of Deck body connected IoT sensor data acquisition devices

  • In this paper, we designed a IoT(Internet of Things) sensor block embedded lightweight house deck structures that can be implemented using Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer(CFRP). Deck-Sensor interconnection interface block via IoT connectivity Hub that can mount external environmental sensors such as fire sensors on the Deck body itself was also proposed. Additionally we described the configuration of devices for data acquisition and analysis based on IoT environmental detection sensors that can be commonly installed and used on these deck bodies. On the other hand, received sensing data based monitoring user interface(UI) also developed and used for sensing data analysis for remote monitoring center. Through the implementation of such IoT-based sensor data transmission and collection analysis devices and UI software, this paper confirmed the availability of CFRP based lightweight House deck structure and possibility of CFRP deck-based IoT sensor data networking and analysis functions.

트위터 사용자의 위치정보와 성향을 고려한 트윗 수집 시스템 (Tweet Acquisition System by Considering Location Information and Tendency of Twitter User)

  • 최근 소셜 네트워크 서비스가 급격히 성장하면서, 소셜 네트워크 분석에 관련된 연구들도 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 특히 트위터는 사회적 이슈나 사건들에 대해 실시간으로 반응하기 때문에, 사회과학 분야나 정보검색 분야의 연구자들이 유용한 실험 데이터를 수집하는 데에 활용되고 있다. 그러나 정작 데이터를 수집하는 방법론에 관한 연구는 아직 미흡하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 위치 기반의 이벤트와 정치 사회적 이벤트 위주의 사용자의 성향을 고려한 트윗 수집 시스템을 제안한다. 우선 위치정보와 이벤트 관련 키워드를 포함하고 있는 트윗과 정치 사회적인 이벤트 검출에 필요한 ID들을 수집한 후, 사용자들의 성향을 분류할 ID 분석기를 설계했다. 또한 ID 분석기의 신뢰도 측정을 위해 상위 등급에 분류된 ID를 이용하여 트윗을 분석했다. 분석결과 1등급으로 분류된 ID는 88.8%의 신뢰도를 보였으며, 2등급으로 분류된 ID는 76.05%의 신뢰도를 보였다. 또한 ID 분석기는 77.5%의 신뢰도를 보였으며 소수의 ID를 사용함으로써 데이터의 수집시간을 줄였다.

How the Lender-Borrower Relationship Influences M&As: an Analysis of a Strategic Action in Japan

  • Purpose - This study examines lenders' reactions to M&A, based on the strength of the lender-borrower relationship and the lender's expectations of the potential benefits or risks of the deal. Research design, data, and methodology - This research addresses the lender's influence on the implementation stage of a large-scale strategic action such as M&A to understand the motivation and dynamics of lenders' responses and empirically examines how the lender-borrower relationship influences the focal firm's merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions, using data on 501 M&A deals in Japan from 1990 to 2010. Results - The presented analysis found that lenders that have a strong lender-borrower relationship, especially those showing a high debt equity ratio, support borrowers' M&A progress and the target firm's lenders resist the deal progressing and may raise the acquisition premium if their current power relative to borrowers is weak. Conclusions - Stakeholders including lenders do not favor strategies of focal firms that threaten their future benefits, while they also tend to estimate the potential benefits and losses by comparing their current circumstances with those of other stakeholders. The empirical results of the presented analysis help explain the mechanism of lenders' reactions and offer insights into the power of a closer and stronger lender-borrower relationship.

  • The purpose of this paper is development of portable cardiovascular signal processing device. Beat-to-beat fluctuation in heart rate, respiration, and blood pressure have been known to be meditated by autonomic nervous system activities convergent on various effector organs. This system consists of data acquisition module, main data processing module and graphic LCD module. The data acquisition module is developed for data aquisition, data multiplexing and interfacing with main data processing system. And, main data processing module is developed for data storing, data processing and interfacing with graphic LCD module. The main processing system is based on 32-bit microprocessor.

  • We intended to show some basic requirements for spectrum analysis of electroencephalogram (EEG) by visualizing the differences of the results according to different values of some parameters for analysis. Spectrum analysis is the most popular technique applied for the quantitative analysis of the electroen- cephalographic signals. Each step from signal acquisition through spectrum analysis to presentation of parameters was examined with providing some different values of parameters. The steps are:(1) signal acquisition; (2) spectrum analysis; (3) parameter extractions; and (4) presentation of results. In the step of signal acquisition, filtering and amplification of signal should be considered and sampling rate for analog-to-digital conversion is two-time faster than highest frequency component of signal. For the spectrum analysis, the length of signal or epoch size transformed to a function on frequency domain by courier transform is important. Win dowing method applied for the pre-processing before the analysis should be considered for reducing leakage problem. In the step of parameter extraction, data reduction has to be considered so that statistical comparison can be used in appropriate number of parameters. Generally, the log of power of all bands is derived from the spectrum. For good visualization and quantitative evaluation of time course of the parameters are presented in chronospectrogram.

선박 엔진용 캠 전용 측정기의 데이터 취득 및 해석 (Data Acquisition and Analysis of a Measuring Machine for Marine Engine′s Cams)

  • In this paper, data acquisition and analysis of a measuring machine for marine engine's cams is discussed. A rotary encoder and linear scale of the machine to measure angular and linear displacement respectively are interfaced to the PC via encoder board with 2 channels. The design and measuring data are interpolated by cubic spline curves to compute the precision error which is defined by the maximum and minimum distances between two curves. The minimum zone fit of ISO is employed to evaluate the geometric deviation. The developed system takes only 5 minutes to measure and analyze while the CMM takes over 1 hours even with a skilled operator.

  • This study was carried out to develop a microcomputer-based data acquisition system and software for analysis of engine vibration. Due to this development of system and software, studies on the vibration of engine was able to conduct efficiently. From the display of color monitor, the outputs of test were compared and analysed on zero-base monitoring. The results obtained are summarized as follows : 1. Data acquisition system in microcomputer was designed and programmed and operated accurately. 2. The results of test were easily compared in monitoring of zero-base at color monitor. 3. The system and program developed was able to control the measuring intervals, number of channels, and number of data.

An integrated structural health monitoring system for the Xijiang high-speed railway arch bridge

  • Compared with the highway bridges, the relatively higher requirement on the safety and comfort of vehicle makes the high-speed railway (HSR) bridges need to present enhanced dynamic performance. To this end, installing a health monitor system (HMS) on selected key HSR bridges has been widely applied. Typically, the HSR takes fully enclosed operation model and its skylight time is very short, which means that it is not easy to operate the acquisition devices and download data on site. However, current HMS usually involves manual operations, which makes it inconvenient to be used for the HSR. Hence, a HMS named DASP-MTS (Data Acquisition and Signal Processing - Monitoring Test System) that integrates the internet, cloud computing (CC) and virtual instrument (VI) techniques, is developed in this study. DASP-MTS can realize data acquisition and transmission automatically. Furthermore, the acquired data can be timely shared with experts from various locations to deal with the unexpected events. The system works in a Browser/Server frame so that users at any places can obtain real-time data and assess the health situation without installing any software. The developed integrated HMS has been applied to the Xijiang high-speed railway arch bridge. Preliminary analysis results are presented to demonstrate the efficacy of the DASP-MTS as applied to the HSR bridges. This study will provide a reference to design the HMS for other similar bridges.

대학생의 영어가정법 습득에 관한 연구 (A Study on Acquisition of English Subjunctive Mood in EFL College Students)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 한국대학생들의 영어 가정법습득에 관한 것이다. 이를 위해 다음과 같이 연구문제를 제시하였다 첫 번째, 일반 영어 능력과 가정법 습득과는 어떤 상관관계가 있는가? 두 번째, 성별에 따라 영어 가정법 습득에 차이가 있는가? 세 번째, 영어 능숙도에 따라 영어 가정법 습득에 차이가 있는가? 를 조사하였다. 이 연구의 대상은 광주소재의 C 대학교 교양 영어를 수강하는 73명의 학생들이며 남학생들이 37명, 여학생들이 36명이었다. 이 연구를 위한 자료는 가정법에 관한 40문제를 제시하였고 설문지 기법을 이용하였다. 이 연구의 분석방법은 통계프로그램인 SPSS 12.0을 이용하여 분산분석 방법을 실행하였다. 성별에 따른 가정법 습득의 결과는 남학생과 여학생 집단 간에 유의미한 차이가 없었고, 영어 능숙도에 따른 가정법 습득의 결과는 세 집단간에 유의미한 차이를 보였다.
