  • With the recent advancement of surveying and technology, the spatial data acquisition rates and precision have been improved continually. As the updates of spatial data are rapid, and the size of data increases in line with the advancing technology, the LOD (Level of Detail) algorithm has been adopted to process data expressions in real time in a streaming format with spatial data divided precisely into separate steps. The existing GRID analysis utilizes the single DEM, as it is, in examining and analyzing all data outside the analysis area as well, which results in extending the analysis time in proportion to the quantity of data. Hence, this study suggests a method to reduce analysis time and data throughput by acquiring and analyzing DEM data necessary for GRID analysis in real time based on the area of analysis and the level of precision, specifically for streaming DEM data, which is utilized mostly for 3D geographic information service.

  • Data is represented by file structure in Computer System. But the file size is to be larger, it is hard to control and transmit. Therefore, in recent years, many researchers have developed new algorithms for the data compression. And now, we introduce a new Dynamic Compression Technique, making up for the weaknesses of huffman's. The huffman compression technique has two weaknesses. The first, it needs two steps of reading, one for acquiring character frequency and the other for real compression. The second, low compression rate caused by storing tree information. These weaknesses can be solved by our new Dynamic Relocatable Method, reducing the reading pass by relocating data file to dynamic form, and then storing tree information from pipeline structure. • This study is about the visual appreciation by sex with the analysis of time range of observing data which was got through observation experiment with the space of lobby in hospitals. The observation data of the subjects who observed the space include the frequency and time, through which the process of visual appreciation could be evaluated with the definition of the frequency and the time of observation. First, the fact that men had higher frequency of observation than women means the former had more movement than the latter, and another fact of their fewer times can be understood as the time of their staying was shorter. That is, even though the men had more movements of sight, they showed the feature of staying shorter. Second, the rate high and low of observation frequency and times made it possible for observation characteristics to be defined as 'intensive search' 'active search' 'fixed concentration' and 'search wandering.' The definition of understanding this process of visual appreciation can be available for a frame of effective analysis of observation characteristics according to the passage of time. Third, the intense search is the case of 'high frequency' having the feature of high visual appreciation owing to the active visual actions for acquiring information. Men were found to have more intense search which decreased gradually as time passed, while women showed the feature of many times of intense search. Fourth, it was found that with many observation data in a certain range of time the subjects had fixed concentration, where women were found to have repetitive fixed concentration along with the change of observation time while men were seen to have more observation tendency for fixed concentration. Fifth, at the cross tabulation of frequency and times, men had the feature of dispersed visual appreciation while women had more distinction between fixation and movement, which revealed that there is surely the difference between men and women in the process of visual appreciation.

  • For the reliable prediction of spatial geotechnical data, a procedure to build the Geotechnical Information System (GTIS) based on geo-knowledge within the frame of GIS technology was developed by introducing a couple of new concepts of the extended area containing the study area and the additional site visit for acquiring surface geological data. To build the GTIS for Gyeongju as the case study of regional model application, intensive site investigations and pre-existing geotechnical data collections were performed and additional site visit was also carried out for acquiring surface geo-layer data in accordance with the developed procedure. Within the GTIS based on geo-knowledge for Gyeongiu area, the spatially distributed geo-layers across the extended area were predicted using the geostatistical kriging method and those for the study area were extracted. Furthermore, the spatial distribution maps for the thickess of geo-layers and the depth to bedrock were constructed for the practical use in geotechnical field. It was evaluated that the GTIS based on geo-knowledge developed in this study is superior to the conventional geotechnical GIS in terms of both the standard deviation and the geological expert judgment.

  • The assessment of structural condition is a crucial process for evaluating its usability and determining the diagnostic cycle. The currently employed manpower-based methods suffer from issues related to safety, efficiency, and objectivity. To address these concerns, research based on deep learning using images is being conducted. However, acquiring structural damage data is challenging, making it difficult to construct a substantial amount of training data, thus limiting the effectiveness of deep learning-based condition assessment. In this study, we propose a foundation model-based 2-step structural damage analysis to overcome the lack of training data in image-based structural condition assessments. We subdivided the elements of structural condition assessment into instantiation and quantification. In the quantification step, we applied a foundation model for image segmentation. Our method demonstrated a 10%-point increase in mean intersection over union compared to conventional image segmentation techniques, with a notable 40%-point improvement in the case of rebar exposure. We anticipate that our proposed approach will enhance performance in domains where acquiring training data is challenging.

  • To create the value-added in the field of the shipbuilding, we have to vitalize the marine equipment industry. However the competitiveness is inclined to its outward than inward in the field of the shipbuilding in our country. Especially the field of the marine equipment industry needs to acquire the competitiveness as soon as possible in comparison with an advanced country. Therefore, this paper analyzes the characteristics of the marine equipment, the present situation of the marine equipment industry, the present situation of the demand-supply, the localization of the marine equipment, so that it can raise the competitiveness of the marine equipment industry. Based on this paper, it is the purpose of this paper to derive the alternative for acquiring the competitiveness. This paper is trying to find the way to progress the marine equipment industry and suggest well-founded data for acquiring the competitiveness.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to pursue an efficient operating plan by surveying the cognition and demand level for major deepening course. Methods : Questionnaire survey was carried out targeting 135 dental hygienists who work in Cheonan and neighboring region. The collected data was performed frequency & percentage, T-test and ANOVA analysis. Results : 1. As for dental hygienists' acquiring academic degree, 77.0% of them responded to have interest. As for a desired route of acquiring academic degree, the major deepening course or Credit Bank System was the highest with 62.2%. 2. As a result of surveying cognition on major deepening course, 73.3% responded to know. A route of having come to know was the largest in senior or friend with 34.8%. Necessity of major deepening course was responded to be necessary with 89.7%. 89.1% of them clarified to have intention of acquiring. 3. The curricular subject, which is desired to be learnt for a plan of operating major deepening course, was the highest in the major field with 63.0%. 4. As a result of comparing an interest, necessity, and intention of acquisition on major deepening course depending on general characteristics, the statistically significant difference wasn't shown. Conclusions : These results suggest that major deepening of course through active public should be aware that many dental hygienists will be subject to a variety of programs and development of clinical course and a practical hands-on education is expected to be strengthened.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore the feasibility to utilize image data recorded and accumulated from CCTV at child care centers. Methods: Literature reviews, consultations and workshops with scholars studying child development, legal professionals, and engineers, focus group interviews with professionals working with young children, and surveys targeting parents, directors and teachers were implemented. Results: It was found the big data from CCTV at child care centers can be used to make policies and implement research as a secondary data set after anonymization. Extracting implicit and useful data from images stored on CCTV is technically feasible. Also, it can be legally guaranteed to analyze the data under the condition of acquiring informed consents. Conclusion/Implications: It was likely to utilize image data from CCTV at child care centers as a secondary data set in order for policy development and scholarly purposes, after overcoming obstacles of the budget for additional infrastructures and consents of information holders.
