  • This paper researched a study to find a combination of acquisition scores for 9 dart throws, which is the minimum number of dart tactile throws in 501 point dart games. The maximum score that can be obtained by throwing once in a dart game is 60 points, which can end the perfect dart game with 60 points eight times according to 60×8+21×1=501, and if you earn 21 points once, you can finish the game with 9 throws. This is called 9-dart finish. As such, only 18 and 14 studies on the combination of scores that can obtain 501 points with 9 throws are known, and no studies have been conducted applying the exhaustive search algorithm. This paper proposed a division branch-and-bound algorithm as a method of simplifying the O(2n) exponential time performance complexity of the typical branch-and-bound method of a exhaustive search method, to polynomial time complexity. The proposed method limited the level to 8, jumped to a quotient level of 501/60, and backtracked to explore only possible score combinations in the previous level. The possible score combinations of the nine perfect games found with the proposed algorithm were 90(101 cases).

  • Background: The restriction of wrist motion results in limited hand function, and the evaluation of the range of wrist motion is related to the evaluation of wrist function. To analyze and compare the wrist motion during four selected tasks, we developed a new desktop motion analysis system using the motion controller for a home video game console. Methods: Eighteen healthy, right-handed subjects performed 15 trials of selective tasks (dart throwing, hammering, circumduction, and winding thread on a reel) with both wrists. The signals of light-emitting diode markers attached to the hand and forearm were detected by the optic receptor in the motion controller. We compared the results between both wrists and between motions with similar motion paths. Results: The parameters (range of motion, offset, coupling, and orientations of the oblique plane) for wrist motion were not significantly different between both wrists, except for radioulnar deviation for hammering and the orientation for thread winding. In each wrist, the ranges for hammering were larger than those for dart throwing. The offsets and the orientations of the oblique plane were not significantly different between circumduction and thread winding. Conclusions: The results for the parameters of dart throwing, hammering, and circumduction of our motion analysis system using the motion controller were considerably similar to those of the previous studies with three-dimensional reconstruction with computed tomography, electrogoniometer, and motion capture system. Therefore, our system may be a cost-effective and simple method for wrist motion analysis.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the research literature on play therapy intervention for children with ADHD. Thirty-nine studies, conducted from 1995 to 2010, were analyzed. The results of the literature review are as follows: The most commonly studied subjects were elementary school children in grades 1-3. The most common subject selection method was to select ADHD tendency children. The most typical intervention setting used was a counseling center. The most frequent intervention was 11-15 sessions of group counseling. Pre-post experimental-control research designs were the most commonly used. In the analyzed studies, play therapy-game play therapy, CBPT, CCPT, sand play therapy, and theraplay- was used for ADHD children. The studies found that game play therapy and cognitive-behavior play therapy are effective for improving ADHD children's attention, impulsiveness, and self-control. The major game play therapy activities used were dart games, "Simon says" games, fishing games, dominoes, Jenga, Beat the Clock, the board game "Stop," and "Ice, break., ice, break." Based on these findings, this article presents implications and discussion for play therapy intervention for ADHD children.

  • Most people cause disputes not to do things they do not want to do. Therefore, in this study, the mobile roulette system was studied to make role sharing easy and fun. The role sharing method is to rotate the roulette through the mobile application installed on the smartphone and throw the dart to check the result with the mobile application. Through this study, it is possible to set the role sharing that most people do not like to be as fun as the game, and the conflict due to the role sharing between family members can be reduced. It is also expected that it will contribute to leisure activities, not just unconditional roles.
