나사 표준 착화기 (NASA Standard Initiators) 연결 전기 커넥터의 규격 비교 (Comparisons on Specifications of Mating Electrical Connectors for NASA Standard Initiators)

  • 공개된 자료들을 바탕으로 NASA의 표준 착화기 NSI-1,2,3의 간략한 성능규격 비교와 함께 NSI에 연결되는 전기 커넥터의 규격을 비교하였다. NSI-1,2에 연결되는 커넥터의 규격은 MSFC-40M38298과 MIL-DTL-26482, series1이며, NSI-3에 연결되는 커넥터의 규격은 MIL-DTL-38999, series3이다. 전체적인 내환경 성능은 낮음에서 높음 순서로 MIL-DTL-26482, series1/MSFC-40M38298/MIL-DTL-38999, series3 이다. 특히, 고충격, 고진동 환경에서 착화기를 사용하여야 한다면 NSI-3의 커넥터 규격인 MIL-DTL-38999, series3의 커넥터를 사용하는 것이 적절할 것이다.

  • The cooling water system for the PEFP 20 MeV proton accelerator was established and tested to obtain the precise resonance frequency of DTL through the temperature control of cooling water. The water temperature in the main flow loop was manipulated by adjusting the proportion of hot water returning from the DTL structures through the heat exchanger loop. Due to low duty factor operation and insufficient cooling loop installation of the DTL tanks, the manual mode operation was applied to maintain the DTL temperatures close to their resonance temperatures. The optimized process conditions with flow balancing and pressure drop in the DTL cooling systems are reported.

  • The paper concerns a room-temperature cross-bar H-mode (CH) drift tube linac (DTL) with KONUS (Kombinierte Null Grad Struktur) [1,2] beam dynamics. To make the acceleration in DTL cell more efficient, we studied the correlation between transit time factor (TTF) and structural coefficients, first. Furthermore, we developed a new code with Python to demonstrate the longitudinal dynamics more clearly. The code computationally generates clusters, bunch centers, and emittance growth in a single figure. Thus, the stabilization region and cluster evolution at various negative phases can be studied. Based on the above studies, we designed a 162.5 MHz CH-DTL to accelerate 10 mA D+ from 2.11 MeV to 3.25 MeV in continuous-wave (CW) mode. The proposed CH-DTL is a part of the Middle Energy Neutron Source (MENS). The dynamics and RF design were iterated to make the gap voltage error lower than 1 %. The initial beam is assumed to come from a Radio Frequency Quadrupole accelerator (RFQ). The geometries of the CH-DTL are optimized by using CST. Multiparticle tracking from LEBT to RFQ is performed with TraceWin and the transmission efficiency in the CH-DTL is 100 %.

PEFP DTL 가속장치의 공진주파수 제어를 위한 펌프장치의 설계 및 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design and Performance of a Prototype Pumping Skid for Resonant Frequency Control in the PEFP DTL)

  • The Resonance Control Cooling System (RCCS) prototype installed in KAERI site has been designed to control the resonant frequency of the normal conducting drift tube linac (DTL) for the Proton Engineering Frontier Project (PEFP). The RCCS water pumping skid is composed of two channels as a by-passing the cooling water and a plate heat exchanger. The required temperature can be achieved by mixing both channels in order to control its the resonant frequency at 350 MHz. The temperature controlled water pumping skid operates in combination with the Low Level Radio Frequency (LLRF) system. We have discussed the design, modeling with each components, control scheme, fabrication and test results of the water pumping skid for resonant frequency control of the DTL cavity. In conclusion, the fabricated RCCS prototype through the optimization of modeling has corresponded with the design requirement and concept.

  • DT and EQM for PEFP DTL II was designed. It was verified that EQM satisfied the required parameters from the physical design of the DTL II. It was verified also that DT design which contained the EQM satisfied the structural requirements.

  • The main objective of this prototype is to control resonance frequency of DTL system through the temperature control of cooling water. It is to resonant frequency of the drift tube cavities to 350 MHz. This paper describes the design of a prototype cooling water skid required for the temperature control of the DTL cavities, focusing in the modeling and simulation of the cooling system, the sizing of water pumping skid component.

회전익 항공기용 연료탱크 내추락 성능 시험평가 (Assessment of Crashworthiness Performance for Fuel Tank of Rotorcraft)

  • 회전익항공기 연료탱크는 추락시 승무원의 생존성과 직결되는 구성품이다. 1950년대부터 미육군에서는 항공기 추락 후 화재에 의한 사상자를 줄일 수 있는 방안으로 내충돌성 연료탱크에 적합한 특성을 갖는 소재를 개발하기 위해 다양한 노력을 기울여왔다. 그 결과로 1961년에 MIL-T-27422A라는 항공기 연료탱크 설계규격이 처음 등장하였고, 1970년부터 2002년까지 수회의 개정을 거쳐 2007년 MIL-DTL-27422D라는 미군사 규격으로 발전되었다. 한국형 기동헬기의 연료탱크는 미군사규격(MIL-DTL-27422D)에 따라 개발 및 성능인증시험이 수행되었으며, 연료탱크의 내추락 성능은 미군사 규격에 구체화된 충돌/충격시험으로 검증되도록 규정되어 있다. 본 연구는 한국형기동헬기 연료탱크의 내추락 성능 검증을 위해 수행된 충돌/충격시험 결과를 제시하고 있다.
