  • 본 논문은 DSP Controller를 적용한 연료전지시스템의 유량제어에 관한 논문이다. 그리고 이 연구에서 사용된 시스템은 1kW급 계통연계 연료전지 시스템이다. 이 연료전지 시스템이 안정적으로 전원을 공급할 수 있도록 시스템에서 요구하는 공기 유량을 정확히 공급하도록 제어하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 이 목적을 이루기 위해 공기 공급 장치에 PID 제어기를 설계하여 적용하였다. PID 제어기의 Gain값은 지글러 니콜스 Tuning 방식으로 정하였다. 이 제어기를 적용하여 실험한 결과, 적용 전 상태와 비교하면 맥동이 30% 저감하였고, 정상상태 오차가 제거되어 온도 변화와 같은 외란과 상관없이 정확한 요구 공기 유량을 공급함을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 부하가 변동함에 따라 해당 요구 공기 유량이 바뀔 때 1초 내에 그 요구 공기 유량을 추종하여 스택이 안정적으로 운전될 수 있도록 하였다.

A General Purpose DSP Architecture Using Instruction FIFO Memory (Instruction FIFO Memory를 이용한 범용 DSP 구조)

  • In this paper, we propose a programmable 16 bit DSP architecture using FIFO instruction memory. With this DSP architecture, System structure, BUS structure, instruction set ant and an assembler for system test are developed. The characteristic of this structure is that it simply fetches instructions not from RAM but from FIFO using shift operations. Accordingly, System can be designed regardless of RAM access time. One cycle is enough to execute an instruction, if instruction pipeline is operated. Another merit of this structure is that we can obtain the same effect as instruction pipelining without constructing a complex pipelined controller by decreasing the pipeline number.

  • Novel nonlinear backstepping control with integrated adaptive control function is developed for high-performance positioning control systems. The proposed schemes are synthesized by a systematic approach and implemented based on a modern low-cost DSP controller, TMS320C32. A baseline backstepping control scheme is derived first, and is then extended to include a nonlinear adaptive control against the system parameter changes and load variations. The backstepping control utilizes Lyapunov function to guarantee the convergence of the position tracking error. The final control algorithm is a convenient in the implementation of a practical 32-bit DSP controller. The new control system can achieve superior performance over the conventional nested PI controllers, with improved position tracking, control bandwidth, and robustness against external disturbances, which is demonstrated by experimental results.

  • Digital fetal monitoring system based on the personal computer combined with the digital signal processing (DSP) board was implemented. The DSP board acquires and digitally processes ultra- sound fetal Doppler signal for digital signal conditioning, rectification, low -pass filtering, autocorrealtion function calculation and its peak detection. The personal computer interfaced with the DSP board is in charge of graphic display, hardcopy, data transmission and on -line analysis of fetal heart rate change including on - line warning system, base -line estmation, acceleration, deceleration and variability. It is one of the most suitable situation to apply the DSP chip for siganl conditioning, digital filtering of ultrasound fetal Dopier signal and fetal heart rate estimation using autocorrelation technique .

  • In this paper, the design and the implementation of the controller for an articulate robot, which is developed in our Automatic Control Laboratory, are mainly discussed. The controller reduces software computational load via distributed processing method using multiple CPU's, and simplifies structures by the time-division control with TMS320C31 DSP chip. The method of control is based on the fuzzy-compensated PID control with scale factor, which compensates for the influence of load variation resulting from the various postures of the robot with conventional PID scheme. The application of the proposed controller to the robot system with DC servo-motors shows some excellent control capabilities. Also, the response characteristics of system for the various trajectory commands verify the superiority of the controller.

  • Recently with the development of power switching device and DSP which has perip -heral devices to control AC servo system, the servo technology has met a new development opportunity. In this study, a DSP based AC servo system with a 3-phase PMSM is proposed. The newly produced DSP TMX320F2812 version C which has the performance of fast speed, 150MIPS, and rich peripheral interface is used. Also space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) and the digital PI control are implemented to the servo control system.

  • The implementation of Nonlinear Feedback Linearization control for Electro-Magnetic Suspension system is presented. The controller using TMS320C31 DSP chip was proposed and the experiments were performed Control law for EMS system using feedback linearization is derived and implemented in the DSP. Some tests were constructed far experimental comparison between feedback linearization and classical state feedback The experimental results demonstrate that the feedback linearization controller shows bettor performance than that of the classical state feedback controller and it is robust with respect to disturbance and parameter variation, though some steady-state errors appear.

A Performance Assessment of Real-time Multichannel Audio Codec

  • In this paper, we describe a real-time implementation of a multi-channel auido codec system that is based on the MPEG-1 audio algorithm. The major feature of this system is that it has a flexible multi-DSP system that can be adapted for various applications with using up to four TMS320C40 DSPs. The purpose of this paper is to present the problems of the system and is to describe the optimized methods to solve the problems in the view of hardware and software. Our audio codec is composed of an encoder an a decoder system and the bit rate of bitstream is up to 384 kbps. Fast input/output interfaces, DSP overloads, and inter-DSP communications methods with high speed are considered in multi-DSP H/W. Also, to run real-time in S/W, optimizing methods of algorithm are considered. After implementation of system, the subjective assessment method, and 'triple stimulus/hidden reference/double blind' that recommended by ITU-R TG10/3 is adopted for the quality of our system. All test items except one are awarded difference grades(diffgrade) better than 1-. Form the results, multi-channel audio system can be used for HDTV service.

  • As the pre-stage of making 3D stabilizing systems, at this paper designed 2D stabilizing system. This is composed of two axes stabilizing platform to preserve targeted direction while vehicle is moving. The system maintains stabilization by recovering error using the rate gyro with DSP TMS320F240 as controller, vibratory rate gyro (Tokimec co. TFG -l60D) as gyro scope, SD1015B52-1·SD1004C04-l/DM1015B DM1004C as direct drive driver/motor, PI control as control algorithm. This paper got a comparably good stabilization.

Design and Implementation of a DSP-Based Multi-Channel Power Measurement System

  • In order to improve energy efficiency and solve power disturbances, power components measurement for both the supply and demand side of a power system must be implemented before appropriate action on the power problems can be taken. This paper presents a DSP (Digital Signal Processor)-based multi-channel (voltage 8-channel and current 10-channel) power measurement system that can simultaneously measure and analyze power components for both supply and demand. Voltage 8-channel and current 10-channel measurement is made through voltage and current sensors connected to the developed system, and power components such as reactive power, power factor and harmonics are calculated and measured by the DSP. The measured data are stored in a personal computer (PC) and a commercial program is then used for measurement data analysis and display. After voltage and current measurement accuracy revision using YOKOGAWA 2558, the developed system was tested using a programmable ac power source. The test results showed the accuracy of the developed system to be about 0.3 percent. Also, a simultaneous measurement field test of the developed system was implemented by application to the supply and demand side of the three-phase power system.
