Isolation and identification of blacken spoilage inducing bacteria from Korean dried persimmon

  • Blacken spoilage is one of the common problems during the cold storage of dried persimmon in Korea. We collected the spoiled dried persimmon in the refrigerator and classified them to 4 types depending on their appearances. Furthermore we isolated blacken spoilage inducing bacteria from type D of dried persimmons. Among the isolates we identified the seven blacken spoilage inducing bacteria. They are Aeromonas hydrophila DP1, Cedecea davisae DP2, Ewingella americana DP3, Flavimonas oryzihabitans DP4, Providencia rettgeri DP5, Providencia rustigianii DP6 and Serratia plymuthica DP7. Strains were identified based on their morphological, cultural and physiological properties. We also found that Ewingella americana DP3, Flavimonas oryzihabitans DP4 were the major blacken spoilage inducing bacteria during dried persimmon storage.

구문 분석과 One-Stage DMS/DP를 이용한 연속음 인식 (Continuous Speech Recognition using Syntactic Analysis and One-Stage DMS/DP)

  • 본 논문은 연속음 인식에 관한 연구로써, 구문 분석을 이용한 One-Stage DMS/DP에 의한 음성 인식 방법을 사용한다. 인식 실험을 위해 우선 구간 구분화 알고리즘을 이용하여 DMS(dynamic Multi-Section) 모델을 만들며, 구문 분석을 이용한 One-Stage DMS/DP 방법으로 연속음 데이터를 인식하게 하였다. 제안된 방법에 의한 인식 실험을 수행하는 것 외에도 비교를 위해 전통적인 One-Stage DP 방법을 같은 조건 같은 데이터를 가지고 수행하였다. 인식 실험 결과, 기존의 방법보다 구문분석을 이용한 One-Stage DMS/DP 방법이 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

  • Dynamic Positioning System(DPS)은 동력, DP control 장치, DP 컴퓨터, 위치참조시스템(PRS), 센서, thruster 시스템 및 DP 운용자(DPO) 7가지로 구성되어 있다. DP 선박은 이들 구성요소들에 문제가 발생하면 그 기능을 상실할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 2001~2010년까지 10년 동안 IMCA 보고된 DP 선박 관련사고 612건에 대한 분석을 바탕으로 DPS의 7가지 구성요소와 관련된 사고 원인을 파악하고 이들 중 가장 높은 비율을 차지하는 원인을 정성적, 정량적으로 상세 분석하여 요소별 관계와 주요 작용 요소를 확인하고자 한다. 이를 통해 DP 선박의 LOP사과 관련 분석에 있어 베이지안 네트워크의 활용성을 확인해 보았다. 10년 평균 가장 높은 비율을 차지한 DPS 사고원인 요인은 PRS이었으며 이를 전문가 브레인스토밍을 통해 작성된 flowchart를 바탕으로 베이지안 네트워크를 통해 상세 분석해 본 결과 PRS의 각 요소별 조건부 확률 확인할 수 있었다. DP 선박의 drive off를 발생시키는데 주요한 영향을 미치는 것은 DGPS, microwave radar 및 HPR 이었고 DGPS에 주요한 영향을 미치는 에러 요인은 signal blocked, electric components failure, relative mode error 및 signal weak or fail 이었다.

3D프린팅을 이용한 텍스타일 제조 기술동향 (The Recent Tendency of Fashion Textiles by 3D Printing)

  • As an application and potential of 3D printing (3DP) accelerates in diverse industries, the use of 3DP is also increasing in the textile and fashion industry. Since the fashion trend is rapidly changing and there are high demands of customized products for customer segments, research on manufacturing of 3DP textiles has become more important. 3DP textiles have different physical and chemical properties depending on a various 3D printing technologies or materials. However, it is difficult to fabricate 3DP textiles that meets demand of garment such as flexibility, wearability, tensile strength and abrasion resistance so that 3DP in fashion industry relatively has a narrow range of applications compared to other industries. The aim of this paper is to provide a trend of research about manufacturing 3DP textiles by analyzing previous studies according to textile's properties. This paper classifies the five types of 3DP textiles and analyses systematically. First, 3DP textiles blended with existing textiles. Second, 3DP textiles utilizing the structural design of existing textiles. Third, 3DP textiles designed with continuous units. Fourth, 3DP textiles utilizing material properties. Fifth, 3DP textiles based on smart materials. Based on this analysis, future research of manufacturing 3DP textiles needs are identified and discussed.

폐쇄형 시스템에서 펄라이트 배지의 성층이 토마토의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Stratification of Perlite by Particle Size on the Growth and Yield of Tomato in a Recycling Hydroponics)

  • 본 연구에서는 폐쇄형 시스템에서 펄라이트 배지의 단점을 보완하여 상층에는 소립이나 중립을, 하층에는 대립을 사용하여 토마토의 양액재배에 적합한 펄라이트 배지의 사용방법을 구명코자 하였다. 초장, 생체중, 건물중 등 생육은 혼합배지보다 층분리한 배지에서 좋았고 층분리 처리간에는 소립새립(DP I)보다 중립새립(DP II)이 좋았다. 평균 과중은 처리간에 유의한 차이는 없었으나 과실수는 배지혼합 처리구의 주당 29.1개에 비해 배지의 층분리 처리구가 2∼4개 정도 많았으며, 층분리 처리간에는 소립/대립(DP I)보다 중립/대립(DP II)이 다소 많은 경향이었다. 주당 과실중 및 수량은 착과수와 같은 결과를 보여 층분리의 중립새립 처리구(DP II)가 가장 많았다. 기형과 발생률은 배지혼합 처리구에서 가장 높았으며, 이는 수량 감소의 원인이 되었다. 근활력은 정식후 50일째까지는 모든 처리에서 근활력이 증가되는 경향이었으나 100일째에는 감소하는 경향이었다. 처리간에는 정식후 20일째에는 큰 차이가 없었으나 정식 50일후에는 혼합배지보다 층분리 배지가 근활력이 높았으며, 층분리 처리간에는 소립/대립(DP I)보다 중립/대립(DP II)이 다소 많은 경향이었다. 펄라이트 배지내 EC는 1.3∼1.5로 처리간에 큰 차이는 없었으나 소립/대립 처리(DP I)의 상층에서 다른 처리보다 높았으며 pH도 같은 경향이었다. 배지내의 무기성분 함량은 배지혼합 및 중립/대립 처리(DP II)에서는 상층보다 하층이 많았으나 소립/대립 처리(DP I)에서는 상반된 결과를 보여 하층이 상층보다 많았다. 특히 소립/대립 처리(DP I)의 상층에서 칼륨, 칼슘 및 마그네슘의 함량이 높았는데, 펄라이트의 소립이 중립이나 대립에 비해 양이온 치환용량(CEC)이 높았기 때문이다.

피브릴화 조절을 통한 다양한 감성의 텐셀소재 개발(제3보) -DP가공 방법 및 NaOH 전처리가 미치는 효과- (Development of Surface Modified Tencel fabrics through the Control of Fibrillation(III) -Effect of DP Finishing Method and NaOH Pretreatment-)

  • 본연구의 목적은DP가공에 의한 가교화를 통해 텐셀의 피브릴화를 조절할 때 DP가공 방법 및 NaOH전처리 효과를 물성, 표면형태, 역학적 성질 및 태의 변화의 관점에서 고찰하는데 있다. SEM 분석결과DP가공에 의해 피브릴 발생 정도는 감소하였다. DP가공 방법에 있어 서 WF법과 PDC법에 따른 물성의 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 역학적특성의 경우 DP가공은 DP가공 방법에 상관없이 효소처리한 직물의 인장선형성에는 큰 영 향을 주지 않았으나 인장에 너지, 굽힘 강성, 압축선형성, 압축 레질리언스, 기하학적 거칠기는 감소시켰고 인장 레질리언스, 굽힘이력, 압축에너지는 증가시켰다. 전단특성은 WF법에서는 증가한 반면, PDC법에서는 감소하여 DP가공 방법에 따른 차이를 나타내었다. WF법이 PDC법보다 더 높은 Koshi, Numeri, Fukurami 값을 보였으며, 종합태 값은 비슷하게 나타났다. NaOH 전처 리에 의해 수지부착량은 감소하였으나 감량률은 증가하였으며, DP성/물성은 더 낮게 나타났다. NaOH 전처리에 의해 인장선형성, 인장에너지, 압축 레질리언스, 전단 및 굽힘특성은 증가하였으나 인장레질리언스와 압축선형성, 압축에너지, 표면특성은 감소하였다. NaOH 전처리한 경우 Koshi는 증가하였고, Numrei와 Fukuramil는 감소하였으며, 종합태 값은 가장 낮았다. 처리한 시료들은 각각 다른 감성과 촉감을 나타냈다.

The House Dust Mite Allergen, Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus Suppresses the Chemotactic Activity of Human Monocytes

  • House dust mite (HDM) is important in the pathogenesis of allergic diseases including asthma and atopic dermatitis. Dermatophagoides pteronissinus (Dp) is one of major HDM allergens. In this study, we investigated that Dp extract (DpE) affects on the chemotactic activity of monocytes isolated from the peripheral blood. DpE inhibited the migration of human monocytes in response to CC chemokines such as MIP-$1{\alpha}$, RANTES, HCC-4, MCP-1, and TARC. DpE did not alter the expression of CC chemokine receptors (CCRs) such as CCR1, CCR2, CCR3, CCR4, and CCR5. These results indicate that DpE blocks the chemotaxis of human monocytes and its mechanism is not involved in alteration of CCR expression. Better understanding of the effect of DpE on monocytes will enable elucidation of the role of Dp in the development of allergic diseases.

산조인탕이 수면박탈 흰쥐 심장의 혈역학적 기능에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Sanjointang on Hemodynamic Functions of Isolated Rat Heart Induced by Sleep Deprivation)

  • Objectives: Sanjointang has been clinically used much for treating sleeplessness. However, the effects of Sanjointang in artificial sleep deprivation situations are not known. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the heart rate, left ventricular systolic pressure, left ventricular diastolic pressure, +dp/dt maximum, -dp/dt maximum, and -dp/dt / +dp/dt ratio which are related to the hemodynamic functions of the heart by using sleep-deprived Sparague-Dawley rats, in order to clarify the impact of Sanjointang on hemodynamic functions of the heart of sleep deprived rats. Methods: Eighteen hearts were removed from the male Sparague-Dawley rats weighting about 180g were perfused by the Langendorff technique with modified 37 Krebs-Henseleit's buffer solution at a constant perfusion pressure (60mmHg). They were randomly assigned to one of the following three groups, 1) Normal group (those which did not have sleep deprivation and received normal saline administration), 2) Control group (sleep deprived and normal saline administered), 3) Sample group (sleep deprived and Sanjointang was administered). Control and sample groups rats were deprived 96 hours of sleep by using the modified multiple platform technique. Heart rate, left ventricular systolic pressure, left ventricular diastolic pressure, +dp/dt maximum, -dp/dt maximum, -dp/dt / +dp/dt ratio were evaluated at baseline after the administration of either normal saline or Sanjointang. Results: The heart rate and -dp/dt / +dp/dt ratio was significantly decreased in rats with 96 hours of sleep deprived significantly decreased. The change in the heart rate after administering Sanjointang did not show any significant difference. The left ventricular systolic pressure of the removed heart significantly decreased due to Sanjointang administration, while the left ventricular diastolic pressure significantly increased (p<0.05). The +dp/dt maximum and -dp/dt maximum both significantly decreased in the removed heart after administering Sanjointang. (p<0.05). There was no significant difference observed in the -dp/dt / +dp/dt ratio after administering Sanjointang. Conclusions: According to the results above, sleep deprivation significantly decreases heart rate and -dp/dt / +dp/dt ratio. This is considered as a result of exhaustion due to accumulation of fatigue. Meanwhile, Sanjointang reduced left ventricular systolic pressure and raised left ventricular diastolic pressure, and relieved the contractility and relaxation of the myocardium. Consequently, this reduces the burden of the heart and creates a relatively stabilized heart condition similar to a sleeping condition.

Associations between the dietary patterns of pregnant Malaysian women and ethnicity, education, and early pregnancy waist circumference: A prospective cohort study

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Little is known about the dietary patterns (DPs) of women during pregnancy. The present study aimed to identify the DPs of pregnant Malaysian women and their associations with socio-demographic, obstetric, and anthropometric characteristics. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: This prospective cohort study included 737 participants enrolled in Seremban Cohort Study between 2013 and 2015. Food consumption was assessed using a validated 126-food item semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire (SFFQ) at four time-points, namely, pre-pregnancy and at each trimester (first, second, and third). Principal component analysis (PCA) was used to identify DPs. RESULTS: Three DPs were identified at each time point and designated DP 1-3 (pre-pregnancy), DP 4-6 (first trimester), DP 7-9 (second trimester) and DP 10-12 (third trimester). DP 1, 4, and 7 appeared to be more prudent diets, characterized by higher intakes of nuts, seeds & legumes, green leafy vegetables, other vegetables, eggs, fruits, and milk & dairy products. DP 2, 5, 8, and 11 had greater loadings of condiments & spices, sugar, spreads & creamer, though DP 2 had additional sweet foods, DP 5 and 8 had additional oils & fats, and DP 11 had additional tea & coffee, respectively. DP 3 and 6 were characterized by high protein (poultry, meat, processed, dairy, eggs, and fish), sugars (mainly as beverages and sweet foods), and energy (bread, cereal & cereal products, rice, noodles & pasta) intakes. DP 9 had additional fruits. However, DP 12 had greater loadings of energy foods (bread, cereal & cereal products, rice, noodles & pasta), sugars (mainly as beverages, and sweet foods), and good protein sources (eggs, nuts, seeds & legumes). Malays were more likely to have lower adherence (LA) for DP 1 and 10 than non-Malays. DP 2, 8, and 11 were more prevalent among Malays than non-Malays. Women with a higher education were more likely to have LA for DP 10, and women with a greater waist circumference at first prenatal visit were more likely to show LA for DP 11. CONCLUSIONS: DPs observed in the present study were substantially different from those reported in Western populations. Information concerning associations between ethnicity, waist circumference and education with specific DPs before and throughout pregnancy could facilitate efforts to promote healthy dietary behavior and the overall health and well-being of pregnant women.

시뮬레이션을 이용한 780MPa급 강재의 판재 조합에 따른 저항 점 용접의 로브곡선 특성 분석 (Lobe Curve Characteristic Analysis of Resistance Spot Welding for Sheet Combination of 780MPa Steel Sheet Using Simulation)

  • Nowadays, car manufacturers tried to improve automotive fuel efficiency, and applied many high strength steels such as AHSS or UHSS to car bodies. Therefore, the number of steel combinations for the resistance spot welding are dramatically increased and the need for weldability evaluation of these combinations are also required. In this study, we suggest the lobe curve using FEM simulations for DP780 steel with 1.0t, 1.4t. The lobe curves which could expressed weldablity and optimal welding condition were obtained according to 6 steel combinations. There were two combinations for same steel sheet which were DP780 1.0t, DP780 1.4t. Dissimilar steel sheet combination with different thickness was 1.0t and 1.4t of DP780. Different steel combinations were DP780 1.0t and SPRC440 1.0t, and DP780 1.0t and DP590 1.0t. Finally dissimilar combinations was and DP780 1.0t and DP590 1.4t. The trend of low boundary and high boundary variation of lobe curve were analyzed with a viewpoint of the contact resistance and the heat input.
