A Study on the Introduction of Warehouse Type CY in Container Terminal

  • In this paper, we propose a row warehouse type container yard (WTCY) which deal with the excess of port´s container capacity in 2004 instead of using the Yangsan inland container depot (ICD) in Pusan container terminals. Because the off dock container yard (ODCY) which located in Pusan port around exceeds the port´s capacity in 2004, the Yansan ICD will be used for handling an overflowed amount of containers. But there are need an amount of extra expense includes social overhead capital (SOC) to transports containers to Yangsan ICD.   • Autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) are unmanned underwater vessels to investigate sea environments, oceanography and deep-sea resources autonomously. Docking systems are required to increase the capability of the AUVs to recharge the batteries and to transmit data in real time in underwater. This paper presents a visual servo control system for an AUV to dock into an underwater station with a camera.   • Molecular docking using Lamarckian genetic algorithm of AutoDock 3.0 (AD3) was employed to understand in retrospect the selectivity of phenylaminopyrimidine (PAP) derivatives against the kinase domain c-Abl, implicated in chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). The energetics of protein-ligand complex was scored using AD3 to identify active drug conformations while Ligplot and ligand protein contact (LPC) programs were used to probe schematic molecular recognition of the bound inhibitor to the protein. Results signify correlation between model and crystal structures of STI-571 compound or Imatinib (IM), a PAP derivative and now clinically proven for its efficacy in CML. A prospect active form Abl inhibitor scaffold from matlystatin class of compounds will be published elsewhere.

데크 크레인용 페데스탈의 구조해석 및 최적화 (Structural Analysis and Optimization of a Pedestal for Deck Crane)

  • A deck crane is installed on the deck of a ship when there is no adequate facility for loading and unloading in dock or harbor. Deck cranes in Korea have been imported from abroad, and the import-substitution effect will arise if its production can be localized. Now, it is required to suggest the structural design of a deck crane that meet the domestic criterion, considering loading condition. In this study, the structural analysis of a pedestal in the deck crane was peformed by finite element method to investigate the strength requirement. In addition, the structural design of a pedestal was suggested by using ANSYS and VisualDOC. The optimized structure of a pedestal was determined, considering lightweight design.

Porosome: the Universal Molecular Machinery for Cell Secretion

  • Porosomes are supramolecular, lipoprotein structures at the cell plasma membrane, where membrane-bound secretory vesicles transiently dock and fuse to release inravesicular contents to the outside during cell secretion. The mouth of the porosome opening to the outside, range in size from 150 nm in diameter in acinar cells of the exocrine pancreas, to 12 nm in neurons, which dilates during cell secretion, returning to its resting size following completion of the process. In the past decade, the composition of the porosome, its structure and dynamics at nm resolution and in real time, and its functional reconstitution into artificial lipid membrane, have all been elucidated. In this mini review, the discovery of the porosome, its structure, function, isolation, chemistry, and reconstitution into lipid membrane, the molecular mechanism of secretory vesicle swelling and fusion at the base of porosomes, and how this new information provides a paradigm shift in our understanding of cell secretion, is discussed.

  • This paper introduces an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) model, ASUM, equipped with a visual servo control system to dock into an underwater station with a camera and motion sensors. To make a visual servoing AUV, this paper implemented the visual servo control system designed with an augmented state equation, which was composed of the optical flow model of a camera and the equation of the AUV's motion. The system design and the hardware configuration of ASUM are presented in this paper. ASUM recognizes the target position by processing the captured image for the lights, which are installed around the end of the cone-type entrance of the duct. Unfortunately, experiments are not yet conducted when we write this article. The authors will present the results for the AUV docking test.

  • 물류창고의 적재위치는 창고를 이동하는 물품의 총 자재취급비용에 의해 직접전인 영향을 받는다. 본 논문의 목적은 물류 창고에서의 총 오더피킹 시간을 감소하기 위한 물품 저장방식인 블록 저장방식을 개발하고자 한다. 블록저장방식은 랙들을 블록으로 분할하고, 각 물품은 회전율과 도크와 블록간의 평균 거리를 기준으로 할당한다. 제시한 저장방식의 수행도를 평가하기 위해 다양한 주문 결합 방법들을 이용하여 기존의 등급별 저장방식과 비교 연구한다.

  • Post these safety tips in any swimming area for all swimmers to read. 1. Always swim with companions. Swim only in area well supervised by lifeguards. 2. Never drink alcohol or use drugs when you're swimming or boating. 3. Always check the water depth. Walk in from shore or ease in from the dock or the edge of the pool. 4. Know the limits of your own swimming abilities. If you're a good swimmer, don't tempt nonswimmers or beginner swimmers to try to keep up with you. 5. Keep any eye on younger swimmers at all times. 6. Learn the proper way to dive in the water safely. Follow guidelines for safe diving. 7. Follow the lifeguards instructions and respect their judgment. Never fake an Emergency. Obey all swimming rules.

조선 성과 측정을 위한 다차원 생산성의 분석 (An Analysis of Multidimensional Productivity for the Shipbuilding Performance)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the multidimensional productivity of the shipbuilding performance and to explain the role of different factors, such as man-hour, dock period, number of building block, launching process rate, automatic welding percent, and drawing fault rate which are important production-related variables in most shipbuilding companies. The shipbuilding productivity is obtained using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach. Then, a Tobit model is considered to measure the influence of different factors on the measured productivity. The results reveal that this productivity measure can substitute a representative shipbuilding productivity index (CGT/man-hour) in shipbuilding industries. Also, this multidimensional productivity analysis using DEA and Tobit reveals complex relationships between production-related variables and CGT and sale.

  • 본 논문에서는 3GPP 규격에 따른 IMT-2000 시스템용 UE AMR 코덱의 소프트웨어 및 하드웨어 개발에 관하여 논한다 UE AMR 코덱은 ASIC 개발을 고려하여 Teak-Lite DSP 칩을 사용하여 개발하였다 AMR 코덱을 구현하기 위한 효율적인 소프트웨어 개발 기법을 설명하고 하드웨어 디자인도 논한다 개발된 UE AMR 코덱에는 음성 데이터 입출력 기능은 물론 리부 호스트 프로세서와의 통신 기능도 포함된다. Teak-Lite EVM보드를 사용하여 실시간으로 동작하는 AMR 코덱 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 또한 동시에 UE AMR 코덱용 하드웨어도 개발하였다. ETRI에서 개발 및 시험 중인 IMT-2000 시스템 상에서 개발한 UE AMR 코덱의 동작 및 기능을 검증하였다.
