Selection of efficient supplier is a very important process as risk or uncertainty of a supply chain and its environment are increasing. Previous deterministic DEA and probabilistic DEAs are very limited to handle various types of risk and uncertainty. In this paper, I propose an improved probabilistic DEA which consists of two steps; Monte Carlo simulation and statistical decision making. The simulation results show that the proposed method is proper to distinguish supplier's performance and provide statistical decision background.

DEA 관련 연구에서 전체 효율을 측정하는 것의 중요성은 강조되어져 왔다. 그 연구는 주로 그것이 오직 가격과 비용의 정보를 정확히 알 때 측정될 수 있다는 제한이 있었다. 그러나 실제 사례에서 이 정확한 정보를 얻는 것은 쉽지 않다. 이런 한계를 일부 극복하기 위해 이 논문에서는 Cone-ratio 제약을 이용하여 전체 효율을 측정하기 위한 새로운 모델들을 제안했다. 제안된 모델들을 기반으로 DEA에서 전체 효율 모델들을 적용하기 위해 우리가 알아야 할 필요가 있는 모든 것은 정확한 비용 또는 가격이 아니라, 비용 또는 가격의 비율이라는 사실을 증명하였다.

In management contexts, mathematical programming is usually used to evaluate a collection of possible alternative courses of action on route to selecting one which is best. Using an application of linear programming known as Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA), a method is described to compare products which vary in excellence along a number of dimensions, and for each of which there might be a number of associated "costs". This paper is illustrated by comparing published benchmarks of notebook computers. Potential uses of a DEA analysis of products might be to assist corporate buyers who may need to reconcile a diversity of present and future uses in one standardised purchase; in competitor analysis; and as a normative model of product excellence against which product purchasing behavior could be compared. compared.

For the last decade, some leading groups of corporations in Korea have integrated and managed their Information Systems(IS) functions. Each group established a separate System Management(SM) company to manage the IS and tried to get a synergy effect from the integration. These attempts, however, were not initiated by any one company. Rather they were group efforts. Moreover, the previous measuring tools evaluated IS with the scope of technical performance or quantitative user satisfaction using an absolute scale. Obscure criteria were used in an attempt to present improvements in IS function which were qualitatively weak. This study evaluates whether integration has been efficient and successful. For this purpose, we evaluate the performance efficiency of IS functions with Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) methodology. In comparison with prior methods, DEA presents the rate of relative efficiency, the efficiency frontier for improving inefficiency, the degree of improvement(slack), and the guideline to construct any benchmark(reference set). For our DEA evaluation, this study selected a leading group of 23 companies in Korea. Our experimental results are as follows. First, efficiency was rated low on average. It also demonstrates that the motivation of performance efficiency of IS functions is deficient. Second, the result of the test to find the existence of economy of scale and scope shows that the growth of an organization and industrial characteristics do not affect IS performance efficiency from the perspective of user satisfaction. Finally, the comparison with other evaluation approaches informs us that DEA can be a complementary evaluation method which supports other measuring tools.

This paper aims to evaluates the operation efficiency with two inputs and four outputs with the use of DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis), a qualitative data analysis with the use of expert assessment in Korean RCC(Rescue Co-ordination Center)/RSC(Rescue Sub-Center). The tool for integrating heterogeneous data is model that applies fuzzy logic to decision support system In this paper, therefor, RCC/RSC evaluates the priority for operation efficiency. The result are found as order as Inchon, Mokpo, Jeju, Donghae, Busan, Pohang, Yosu, Sokcho, Tongyeong, Ulsan, Taean, Gunsan RSC.

Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA), a non-parametric productivity analysis tool, has become an accepted approach for assessing efficiency in a wide range of fields. Despite of its extensive applications and merits, some features of DEA remain bothersome. DEA offers no guideline about to which direction relatively inefficient DMUs improve since a reference set of an inefficient DMU, several efficient DMUs, hardly provides a stepwise path for improving the efficiency of the inefficient DMU. In this paper, we aim to show that DEA can be used to evaluate the efficiency of life insurance companies while overcoming its limitation with the aids of machine learning methods.

The DongDeaMoon fashion market was carried out the core role of low price distribution as production and selling illuviation of fashion merchandise. However, the unique and successful fashion merchandising system of DongDeaMoon fashion market has been seriously threatened by consumer need changes as well as by an increased competition from new types of retail stores such as fast fashion brands and online shopping malls. Therefore, this study reviewed the policies for DongDeaMoon fashion market carried out by Seoul Metropolitan City and formulated the policies for strengthening competitiveness of DongDeaMoon fashion market.

DongDaeMoon fashion retail market, or so-called the new western market, has been playing an important role in DongDaeMoon area's success from 1997 to early 2000's. However, the unique and successful fashion merchandising system of DongDeaMoon retail market has been seriously threatened by consumer need changes as well as by an increased competition from new types of retail stores such as discount stores and online shopping malls. Moreover, its performance has been deteriorated due to the increased number of undifferentiated, small and medium-sized retail stores within the area. In this paper, attempts are made in building revitalization strategies for DongDeaMoon fashion retail market on the basis of analyzing fast fashion and consumers. As results, we found that DongDaeMoon fashion retail market needs cooperated area management plan from related market members. This will help DongDaemoon's image change from deal-oriented market to relationship-oriented market with consumers. Through Focus Group interview, we found DongDeaMoon fashion retail market is confronted with insufficient shopping infrastructure and new challenge from global fast fashion brand. Moreover, to overcome this situation, consumers require repaired communication activities by DongDeaMoon fashion market members on consumer relationship management basis. At the end, this paper try to provide strategic implications for DongDeaMoon fashion retailers.

In this paper, efficiencies of core technology development projects, conducted by Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, are compared. In the process, DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) is utilized as a main technique for comparing efficiencies. For DEA, input oriented BCC Model is adopted with government grant, recipient expenditure, the number of participating institutions, and project duration as input factors, and the number of patents, the number of papers, and occurred sales as output factors. As a result, next generation mobile communication project turns out to be the most efficient project of all. Therefore, next generation mobile communication project should be benchmarked for the other projects to follow. However, these results should be used only for reference data since every project has a different objective and, of course, is run under a different environment.

The purpose of this paper is to measure the productive efficiency and competitive strength of Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office using the DEA. Using EMS(Efficiency Measurement System) which is LP solver, quantifies in one way or another a "distance" to the efficient frontier of the technology. An input oriented measure quantifies the input reduction which is necessary to become efficient holding the output constant. Symmetrically, an output oriented measure quantifies the necessary to become efficient holding the inputs constant. A non-oriented measure quantifies necessary improvements when both inputs and outputs can be improved simultaneously. According to the analysis result of the DEA method, inefficient Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office should recommend benchmarking reference Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office in order to enhance the productive efficiency of port administration and a public institution. Besides data on productive efficiency serves as a tool for policy-makers at all levels of activity and is essential for improving the efficiency with which the various systems operate.
