Strategic decisions related to the design of a physical distribution system can be classified into three basic components : facility location, transportation, inventory decisions. In this research the interdependence of those decisions are expressed in a mathematical model such that the total relevant cost of the system is minimized. We suggested a heuristic technique for solving the model. In broad terms, our solution technique combines a heuristic method for determining which candidate DCs to open and an exact method for minimizing costs given a set of open DCs. And we also developed a decision supporting package for the design of a physical distribution system.

An internal antenna for small mobile systems is proposed to support the DVB-H system. It consists of two antenna elements, which are a folded planar monopole for DVB-H and PIFA for GSM/DCS/PCS, and a meander line and RF cable are used to increase the ground plane. Experimental results of the antenna are presented.

500[MW]급 대용량 보일러 통풍계통의 송풍기 맥동 감시 장치는 송풍기 이상 발생시 송풍기를 보호하기 위하여 정지시키는 기능을 한다. 그러나 송풍기 맥동 감시 장치의 빈번한 고장으로 신뢰성이 저하되고 운전에 영향을 미치므로 이것을 DCS 로직으로 구성하여 신뢰성을 향상시켰다.

GSM / DCS1800 / PCS 대역에서 사용 가능한 9.5mm x 6.5mm 크기의 트리플 밴드 초소형 전압제어 발진기를 설계하였다. 설계된 트리플 밴드 VCO는 GSM(880∼915MHz) 대역에서 7±3dBm의 출력전력, DCS1800 (1720∼1785MHz) 대역에서 8±3dBm의 출력전력, PCS(1720∼1780MHz) 대역에서 0±3dBm의 출력전력의 특성을 보인다. 위상 잡음의 특성은 -110dBc @100KHz 이하의 만족할만한 성능을 보인다.

500MW급 대용량 보일러 통풍계통의 Fan Stall 감시 장치는 Fan 이상 발생시 Fan을 보호하기 위하여 정지시키는 기능을 한다. 그러나 Fan Stall 감시 장치의 빈번한 고장으로 신뢰성이 저하되고 운전에 영향을 미치므로 이것을 DCS Logic으로 구성하여 신뢰성을 향상시켰다.

The wireless communication revolution has spawned a revival of interest in the design and optimization of radio transceivers. Radio transmit modules continue to shrink in die size and cost, requiring novel approaches for integration of the numerous passive elements of the radio front-end. A 3 dB Wilkinson power divider based on GaAs substrates, for DCS 1710-1880 MHz band was designed and fabricated showing excellent performance.

In this paper, a real-time communication method using a PICNET-NP(Plant Instrumentation and Control Network for Nuclear Power plant) is proposed with an analysis of the control network requirements of DCS(Distributed Control System) in unclear power plants. The method satisfies deadline in case of worst data traffics by considering aperiodic and periodic real-time data and others.

This paper presents a procedure of implementing a robust controller for a paper-making plant in DCSs. A paper-making process generally has triple problems to automatically tune its output qualities : Long transport delays which are not able to be simply linearized. The transfer matrix of the process is not square. And every plant model has some uncertainty in low and middle frequency region. To tackle these problems, a multi-input / multi-output (MIMO) plant model having some uncertainty was derived by considering some physical and mechanical principles of the process.
