스마트폰을 활용한 여성의 기초체온 가시화 및 주파수 스펙트럼 분석 (Visualization of Basal Body Temperature and Its Frequency Spectrum Analysis Using an Android Platform Smartphone)

  • The daily recording of basal body temperature is the most useful method of determining the term of ovulation by resolving the rise in temperature. To support this aim, Graphical User Interface (GUI) system is designed and implemented to visualize the basal body temperature variations on daily basis by using android platform smartphone with programming multi-thread Java modules. To estimate the occurrence of ovulation cycle, a new method of analyzing the low-frequency features including a DC level and the second largest peak in frequency spectrum domain is proposed with interpreting the prominent features into the average basal-body temperature variations and a menstrual cycle.

완전이식 인공심장을 위한 제어시스템의 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of a microcontroller-based control system for a total artificial heart)

  • For use in patients with severe forms of heart disease for which no surgical repair is possible, development of artificial hearts has many importance in point of economics, medical and industrial applications. To provide a sufficient cardiac output to the physiological demands of circulatory systems is the objective of control systems for an electromechanical artificial heart, which is based on the stable controller design for the motor in the artificial heart. In this paper, an implantable microcontroller-based brushless DC motor control system with the implantability, reliability, and stability is introduced. The developed control system for the artificial heart has the following advantages: (1) It is possible to be implanted in a body by realizing the fundamental functions such as a motor speed detection, proportional-intergral control, timer, and PWM generation through a software programming. (2) Thus, the power consumed in the controller is reduced. (3) The reliability and stability are improved through the reduction of electronic parts and line connetions at the controller. The performance of the artificial hearts and control system developed was evaluated through a series of mock circulatory experiments and a reliability test for one and half years. A sheep with the artificial heart and control system was survived for three days.

안드로이드 기반 스마트폰 연동 심박변이도 추정 (Estimation of Heart Rate Variability with an Android Smart Phone Platform)

  • In this study, ambulatory electrocardiogram(ECG) signal and the rhythms of heart beats are visualized in terms of R-R intervals and Heart Rate Variability(HRV) in the environment of an android plaform. With this aim, Graphical User Interface(GUI) is implemented by executing multi-thread Java programming modules including ECG, heart-beats, tachogram and visualization unit. ECG signals are acquired in an android device by receiving the data from ambulatory ECG sensory system. Finite Impulse Response(FIR) filters are implemented to eliminate the baseline wandering noises contained in the ambulatory signals and DC-offset level in R-R interval data. With simulating the normal or stress emotional state of a subject, we can find the fact that HRV can be successfully estimated and visualized in an android smart phone platform.

  • B-DCS로 구성된 광전송망에서 생존도를 고려한 망설계 문제는 운용회선 및 예비회선 할당문제로 구성된다. 운용회선 및 예비회선 할당문제를 해결하기 위해 기존의 연구들은 각 문제를 분리하여 고려하였으며, 운용회선 할당은 주어진 것으로 간주하고 효율적인 예비회선 할당 알고리즘 개발을 시도하여 왔다. 본 논문에서는 운용 및 예비회선 할당을 동시에 고려하여 전체 설치 회선수를 최소화할 수 있는 운용 및 예비회선 할당 알고리즘을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 B-DCS 광전송망에서의 운용 및 예비회선 할당문제를 정의하고, 정수계획모형과 휴리스틱 알고리즘을 제시한 후, 마지막으로 이를 실제 망에 적용시킨 사례를 제시한다.

착유 자동화를 위한 로봇 착탈 시스템 (Development of a Robotic Milking Cluster System)

  • A Robotic milking cluster system with the manipulator for an automatic milking system was designed and built for farmer to work easily and comfortably during milking processing. The cluster system was composed of screws, cams and links for power transmission, DC motors, the Quick Basic one-chip microprocessor, the vision system for image processing, and tea-cups. Software, written in Visual C+ and Quick Basic, combined the function of image capture, image processing, milking cluster control, and control into one control. The unit was made to transfer from four fixed points to four teats with four teat-cups. Performance tests of the cluster unit, the fully integrated system, were conducted to attach and detach the teat-cup on the teat of a artificial cow. The transfer programming provided for a teat-cup milking loop during the system starts and comes back the original fixed point at the manipulator of it for milking. It transferred the teat-cup with a success rate of more than 70%. The average time it took ot perform the milking loop was about 20 seconds.

비선형 분산안전법을 이용한 최적장기송전계률 알고리 (Optimal Long-term Transmission Planning Algorithm using Non-linear Branch-and-bound Method)

  • The problem of optimal transmission system planning is to find the most economical locations and time of transmission line construction under the various constraints such as available rights-of-way, finances, the technical characteristics of power system, and the reliability criterion of power supply, and so on. In this paper the constraint of right-of-way is represented as a finite set of available rights-of-way. And the constructed for a unit period. The electrical constraints are represented in terms of line overload and steady state stability margin. And the reliability criterion is dealt with the suppression of failure cost and with single-contingency analysis. In general, the transmission planning problem requires integer solutions and its objective function is nonlinear. In this paper the objective function is defined as a sum of the present values of construction cost and the minimum operating cost of power system. The latter is represented as a sum of generation cost and failure cost considering the change of yearly load, economic dispatch, and the line contingency. For the calculation of operating cost linear programming is adopted on the base of DC load flow calculation, and for the optimization of main objective function nonlinear Branch-and-Bound algorithm is used. Finally, for improving the efficiency of B & B algorithm a new sensitivity analysis algorithm is proposed.

저압계통 보호 엔지니어링을 위한 시각화 소프트웨어 개발 (A Development of Visualization Software for Protective Engineering in Low-Voltage Power Systems)

  • This paper summarizes a development of visualization software for protective engineering in low-voltage power systems. The study is concentrated on the following aspects. First, a software engineering method is applied for designing the object-oriented program. The design and implementation of a Graphic User Interface(GUI) and its integration to a power system framework are developed using object-oriented programming(OOP) in Visual C++. Second, we develop the short circuit analysis module that oriented a low-voltage power system. It is possible to calculate a peak, symmetrical RMS, DC component and asymmetrical fault currents for each time. And it is the first software that can calculate the fault current for single branch of three-phase system. The calculation accuracy is compared with commercial software, and the libraries of low-voltage components are served for convenience use. Third, protective engineering functions are equipped. It is possible to automatically select the circuit breaker which based on the user input characteristics and the fault current calculation and examine the protective coordination. Through the case study, we verified that the developed software can be effectively used to examine the protective engineering in low-voltage power systems.

역물류를 고려한 통합물류망에서의 입지:경로문제 (A Location-Routing Problem for Logistics Network Integrating Forward and Reverse Flow)

  • An effective management for reverse flows of products such as reuse, repair and disposal, has become an important issue for every aspect of business. In this paper, we study the Location-Routing Problem (LRP) in the multi-stage closed-loop supply chain network. The closed-loop supply chain in this study integrated both forward and reverse flows. In forward flow, a factory, Distribution Center (DC) and retailer are considered as usual. Additionally in reverse flow, we consider the Central Returns collection Center (CRC) and disposal facility. We propose a mixed integer programming model for the design of closed-loop supply chain integrating both forward and reverse flows. Since the LRP belongs to an NP-hard problem, we suggest a heuristic algorithm based on genetic algorithm. For some test problems, we found the optimal locations and routes by changing the numbers of retailers and facility candidates. Furthermore, we compare the efficiencies between open-loop and closed-loop supply chain networks. The results show that the closed-loop design is better than the open one in respect to the total routing distance and cost. This phenomenon enlarges the cut down effect on cost as an experimental space become larger.

송전제약과 등가운전시간을 고려한 장기 예방정비계획 최적화에 관한 연구 (Optimization of Long-term Generator Maintenance Scheduling considering Network Congestion and Equivalent Operating Hours)

  • Most of the existing researches on systemwide optimization of generator maintenance scheduling do not consider the equivalent operating hours(EOHs) mainly due to the difficulties of calculating the EOHs of the CCGTs in the large scale system. In order to estimate the EOHs not only the operating hours but also the number of start-up/shutdown during the planning period should be estimated, which requires the mathematical model to incorporate the economic dispatch model and unit commitment model. The model is inherently modelled as a large scale mixed-integer nonlinear programming problem and the computation time increases exponentially and intractable as the system size grows. To make the problem tractable, this paper proposes an EOH calculation based on demand grouping by K-means clustering algorithm. Network congestion is also considered in order to improve the accuracy of EOH calculation. This proposed method is applied to the actual Korean electricity market and compared to other existing methods.

  • 본 과제를 통하여 기술적으로는 로봇 개발에 있어 기존 기술을 최대한 활용하고 새로운 기능을 추가하는 형태로 발전해 갈 수 있도록, 각 요소별 기능을 표준화 모듈화 하여 새로운 제품의 개발이 손쉽게 이루어 질 수 있는 기본 platform으로의 역할이 가능해졌다. 구동부 제작 및 설계, 금형 비용 등을 절감하기 위한 다목적 완구로봇 플랫폼을 확보할 수 있었다. 로봇이 복잡한 환경을 인식하고, 자율적으로 작업을 수행하며, 예측하지 못한 문제에 적절한 대처를 할 수 있도록 하기 위한 핵심 기술을 제공하게 될 것으로 생각된다. 로봇 개발에 있어 전문지식이 없는 초보자들이 직접 제작 구동해 볼 수 있는 비주얼한 개발환경을 지원할 뿐만 아니라 GUI 개발환경 및 TEXT Programming 으로 상호 전환이 가능한 코딩 방법을 지원(MSRS와의 차별화를 시도하였다. 기존 하드웨어 지식과 소프트웨어지식이 없는 상태에서도 제작자의 창의력에 따라 다양한 형태의 로봇을 제작 적용이 용의 하며 초보자들에 대한 로봇개발에 흥미를 유발할 수 있도록 하였다. 고급사용자를 위한 별도의 다운로딩 포트를 제공하였다. 로봇공학의 기본지식을 습득(아날로그/디지털 회로를 이해하고, 각종 센서의 이해하며, 스템/서보/DC모터의 제어기술, 펌웨어개발능력, 기본수준의 소프트웨어개발 능력) 활용할 수 있다. 또한, 경제 및 산업적 측면으로는 다음과 같은 장점이 있다. 기존 기술들의 장점을 취합하여 추가적인 기술을 적용할 수 있는 Base형태의 로봇을 개발할 경우 이를 활용한 제품 개발 및 Base자체로도 충분한 시장을 형성 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 인터넷기반 로봇 제어 기술의 확보로 로봇시스템의 생산비용을 낮추고 TTM (Time-to-Market) 제약을 해결시켜 준다. 다른 응용 시스템에 쉽게 적용이 가능하고 지식기반 로봇 서비스의 요소기술 개발은 멀티미디어 콘텐츠분야(교육/게임/오락 등)의 활성화가 가능하기 때문에 타 IT산업에의 파급효과가 예상된다. B2B를 통한 실질적인 판매를 통한 동종기업의 연구 개발비 및 개발 기간의 단축이 예상된다.
