교류측 전압 및 전류 센서가 없는 3상 Z-소스 PWM 정류기의 퍼지-PI 제어 (A Fuzzy-PI Control Scheme of the Three-Phase Z-Source PWM Rectifier without AC-Side Voltage and Current Sensors)

  • In this paper, we proposes the AC input voltage and current sensorless control scheme to control the input power factor and DC output voltage of the three-phase Z-source PWM rectifier. For DC-link voltage control which is sensitive to the system parameters of the PWM rectifier, fuzzy-PI controller is used. Because the AC input voltage and current are estimated using only the DC-link voltage and current, AC input voltage and current sensors are not required. In addition, the unity input power factor and DC output voltage can be controlled. The phase-angle of the detected AC input voltage and estimated voltage, the response characteristics of the DC output voltage according to the DC voltage references, the FFT results of the estimated voltage and current, efficiency, and the response characteristics of the conventional PI controller and fuzzy-PI controller are verified by PSIM simulation.

연료전지용 3상 전류형 능동클램프 DC-DC 컨버터 (A Three-phase Current-fed DC-DC Converter with Active Clamp)

  • 본 논문에서는 새로운 연료전지용 3상 전류형 능동클램프 DC-DC 컨버터를 제안한다. 전류형 컨버터 구조에 능동클램프 회로를 채용하여 과도기에 발생하는 서지전압을 저감하였고 모든 스위치에서 영전압 스위칭을 하며, 그 장점으로 : 연속적인 입력전류, 전압 오버슈트 제거, 영전압 턴 온 스위칭, 고주파 변압기 1차/2차 측에 부가적인 스너버 회로의 필요성 제거, 소프트 스위칭에 의한 저속 다이오드 적용 등이 있다. 더구나 대용량 발전 시스템에 적합하도록 전류형 컨버터 구조와 3상 전력변환 회로를 결합하였다. 3상 전력변환 적용의 장점은 : 입력전류 및 출력전압 주파수의 3배 증가, 스위치에 흐르는 RMS 전류 저감, 필터소자 용량 및 부피 감소, 고주파 변압기 이용률 증가, 단순화된 전력회로에 따른 전체 크기 축소 및 신뢰성 향상 등이 있다. 제안하는 3상 전류형 능동 클램프 DC-DC 컨버터는 이러한 장점들 때문에 발전용 연료전지 시스템의 승압형 DC-DC 컨버터에 적합하며 대용량 태양전지 발전 시스템 및 배터리 충전기 등에도 적용할 수 있다. 새로운 3상 DC-DC 컨버터와 3상 PWM 알고리즘을 제안하며, 시뮬레이션과 프로토타입의 제작 및 실험을 통하여 그 성능을 평가 및 확인하였다.

직류링크전류를 기반으로 한 SRM 3상전류 추정법 (3-Phase Current Estimation of SRM Based on DC-Link Current)

  • 본 논문에서는 직류링크전류를 기반으로 SRM의 상전류를 추정하였고 이를 이용한 SRM 에 대한 속도제어법을 제안하였다. 또한 직류링크전류검출회로를 제안하여 전류검출분해능을 높일 수 있었으며 오프셋에 의한 영향을 최소화시킬 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 상전류 정보를 이용한 SRM 구동방식과 직류링크전류정보를 이용한 SRM 구동방식을 실제실험을 통하여 비교함으로서 본 논문에서 제안한 상전류 추정알고리즘과 이에 관련된 직류링크전류 검출회로에 대한 유효성이 검증되었고 직류링크전류를 이용한 SRM 속도제어시스템은 속도응답이 3 상 전류정보를 이용한 시스템만큼 빠른 응답특성이 있음을 확인하였다.

  • The breaking of a circuit in DC grid could pose a challenge because of the absence of zero-crossing instant for both current and voltage when a fault occurs. An additional fault current limiting function will be very helpful for reducing the burden of the DC circuit breaker by limiting the fault current to a reasonable value. In this paper, we studied the overcurrent characteristics of several HTS conductors so that we could use the selected conductors for the basic design work of a resistive type fault current limiting module as a part of the circuit breaking system. According to the short-circuit test results, we suggested and compared two different basic design parameters of the HTS fault current limiting module, which will be connected in series to the DC circuit breaker.

  • A high temperature superconductor (HTS) has been developed for power applications such as power cables, fault current limiters and superconducting magnetic energy storage devices. For such applications it is required to understand the DC voltage-current characteristic of the HTS. which is important in analyzing AC loss and flux flow loss quantitatively. In this work, we have experimentally investigated influence of several factors, e.g. critical current density. degradation and AC external magnetic field, on the DC voltage-current characteristic. The measured results have been discussed in engineering application point of view.

A Novel type of High-Frequency Transformer Linked Soft-Switching PWM DC-DC Power Converter for Large Current Applications

  • This paper presents a new circuit topology of DC busline switch and snubbing capacitor-assisted full-bridge soft-switching PWM inverter type DC-DC power converter with a high frequency link for low voltage large current applications as DC feeding systems, telecommunication power plants, automotive DC bus converters, plasma generator, electro plating plants, fuel cell interfaced power conditioner and arc welding power supplies. The proposed power converter circuit is based upon a voltage source-fed H type full-bridge high frequency PWM inverter with a high frequency transformer link. The conventional type high frequency inverter circuit is modified by adding a single power semiconductor switching device in series with DC rail and snubbing lossless capacitor in parallel with the inverter bridge legs. All the active power switches in the full-bridge inverter arms and DC busline can achieve ZVS/ZVT turn-off and ZCS turn-on commutation operation. Therefore, the total switching losses at turn-off and turn-on switching transitions of these power semiconductor devices can be reduced even in the high switching frequency bands ranging from 20 kHz to 100 kHz. The switching frequency of this DC-DC power converter using IGBT power modules is selected to be 60 kHz. It is proved experimentally by the power loss analysis that the more the switching frequency increases, the more the proposed DC-DC converter can achieve high performance, lighter in weight, lower power losses and miniaturization in size as compared to the conventional hard switching one. The principle of operation, operation modes, practical and inherent effectiveness of this novel DC-DC power converter topology is proved for a low voltage and large current DC-DC power supplies of arc welder applications in industry.

  • The simplest method for measuring output currents of the three phase inverters is to measure them with three current sensors such as hall sensors. This method requires at least two current sensors, and these types of sensors are somewhat expensive. More economical method is measuring DC link current with a simple shunt resistor, then, reconstructing output current using the DC link current value and the switching status. However, in low speed region, the measurement becomes difficult and even impossible due to the requirement of minimum switching duration for A/D conversion. These problems can be overcome by limitation of switching duration. Limitation of switching, however, causes voltage and current distortion. Owing to compensation, distortion can be effectively suppressed. However these increase acoustic noise due to increment of current ripple. In this paper, a current measurement method is proposed, which can reduce minimum switching duration resulting in reduction of acoustic noise. The validity of proposed method is confirmed through experiment.

  • An interleaved boost converter has many advantages such as current ripple reduction, switching effective double, etc. Due to these advantages, the interleaved boost converter applies to the power factor correction circuit. However, there are almost no analysis results because the input voltage and current are time-varying system in the power factor correction application. Therefore, in this paper, the current ripples of the power factor correction circuit using single-phase boost dc-dc converter and 2-phase interleaved boost dc-dc converter are compared and analyzed in detail. In order to verify the validity, computer simulation and experimental are performed.

  • Current mode control has been used for DC to DC converters for over twenty years. There are many different control schemes which use the inductor current signal in one way or another to control the DC to DC converter. In this paper, the state space averaging technique is applied for the analysis of flyback type current mode control circuit. We made real converter for the guarantee of stable output characteristic and proper design of feedback circuit. The validity of proposed method is verified from test result. The improvement of stability is confirmed by sinusoidal signal injection method with isolated transformer. It is known that phase margin is sufficient and gain crossover frequency fc is early 1/5 of switching frequency, fs, from the experimental result with frequency response analyzer.

Investigation of On-line Monitoring Method on 1500 V Direct Current Cable of Subway

  • The traction DC feeder cable is one of the key devices for the safety operation of subway system, but for low voltage DC feeder cable (<3000 V) for subway, little attention has been paid by investigators on its online monitoring technology. With an introduction of cable laying and operation environment for the cable, this paper investigated the on-line monitoring technology of 1500 V DC feeder cable of subway. Firstly, in the text, the fault model of 1500 V DC cable was proposed based on the analysis of the fault type of the DC feeder cable, and then put forward synthetically on-line monitoring discharge signal and DC leakage current signal to assess DC feeder cable insulating state. The results of laboratory experiment prove that the proposed methods are feasible and can be implemented on-line monitor on DC feeder cable of subway.
