직류 분권전동기의 속도 특성 (Speed Characteristics of Direct Current Shunt Motors)

  • It is well known that speed of a direct current shunt motor is inverse proportional to flux. This paper presents speed expression to show that speed is not inverse proportional to flux. The presented speed vs. flux curves are verified by experimental result that shows the need of the revision of speed vs. flux curves shown in conventional text books.

  • Because of high torque and easiness of speed control, Direct Current(DC) motors have been used for a long time. But, its applications are limited in circumstance and performance, since they contained brush and commutator. The commutation characteristic gives effect to life and performance of the DC motor. Naturally, the commutation characteristic analysis is strongly required. In this paper, With the result of finite element analysis, The inductance is calculated each rotor position and applied to the voltage equations coupled with commutation equation. Also, contact resistances of brush/commutator assembly are considered using contact area and brush width converted with commutator segments. The time derivative term in the differential equation is solved in time difference method. This algorithm was applied to 2-pole shunt DC motor. We considered commutation characteristic by changing contact resistance between brush and commutator segment.

  • Generally, the average phase current is sampled at the midpoint of a PWM signal for the vector control of an AC motor. The three-phase current can also be reconstructed from a DC-link shunt resistor by sampling the shunt voltage during the active vectors of the SVPWM. However, the reconstructed current is different from the average current because of the deviation of the sampling point from the midpoint of the PWM signal. This paper proposes an algorithm to estimate the average current from the reconstructed current in a single-shunt inverter. The proposed method is derived from the phase current slopes based on switching states and corresponding switching time. In addition, the proposed method is generalized for all the six sectors of the space vector hexagon. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified with simulations and experiments.

  • A Fault Detection. Isolation scheme based on ANN(Artifical Neural Network) is proposed for the supervision of a DC shunt motor. The Proposed FDI scheme can promptly detect the occurence of fault and classify all the faults that may occur during the operation. Also. it covers the full operating range in spite that the mathematical model of the motor contain strong nonlinearities. The simulation results show that the FDIU has good diagnostic ability even in the noisy environment.

A New Waveshaper for Harmonic Mitigation in Vector Controlled Induction Motor Drives

  • This paper deals with a new wave shaping technique for cost effective harmonic mitigation in ac-dc converter feeding Vector Controlled Induction Motor Drives(VCIMD's) for improving power quality at the point of common coupling(PCC). The proposed harmonic mitigator consists of a polygon connected autotransformer based twelve-pulse ac-dc converter and a small rating passive shunt filter tuned for $11^{th}$ harmonic frequency. This ac-dc converter eliminates the most dominant $5^{th},\;7^{th},\;and\;11^{th}$ harmonics and imposes the reduction of other higher order harmonics from the ac main current, thereby improving the power quality at ac mains. The design of autotransformer is carried out for the proposed ac-dc converter to make it suitable for retrofit applications, where presently a 6-pulse ac-dc converter is used. The effect of load variation on VCIMD is also studied to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed ac-dc converter in a wide operating range of the drive. Experimental results obtained on the developed laboratory prototype of the proposed harmonic mitigator are used to validate the model and design of the ac-dc converter.

  • 본 논문에서는, 직류단 1-션트 전류 측정을 이용하는 고속 BLDC 전동기 운전 시스템의 제어 성능 향상 및 전류 측정 영역 확장을 위한 제어 방법을 제안한다. 고속 BLDC 전동기의 PWM 기법과 그에 따른 직류단 1-션트 전류 측정 방법 및 측정 영역을 분석하고, 측정 가능 범위를 수식적으로 정리한다. 제안된 제어 방법은 전류 맥동 감소 및 고속 운전 정밀도 향상에 적합한 PWM 기법과 직류단 1-션트 전류 측정 범위가 넓은 PWM 기법을, 정리된 수식을 바탕으로 운전 영역에 따라 사용하여 제어 성능을 향상 시킨다. 계산 데이터 및 실험 결과를 통해 제안된 방법의 효용성을 확인한다.

  • In this paper an ANFIS(Adativo Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System)- based fault detection and diagnosis for a closed loop control system is proposed. The proposed diagnostic system contains two ANFIS. One is run as a parallel model within the model in closed loop control(MCL) and the other is run as a series-parallel model within the process in closed loop(PCL) for the generation of relevant symptoms for fault diagnosis. These symptoms are further processed by another classification logic with simple rules and neural network for process and controller fault diagnosis. Experimental results for a DC shunt motor control system illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed diagnostic scheme.

  • 대용량 전력변환기기인 멀티-레벨 컨버터는 전동기구동시스템 및 유연송전시스템 등에 널리 사용되고 있다. 이중 H-Bridge 컨버터는 캐스캐이드 형태를 사용하여 멀티-레벨로의 확장이 용이한 장점으로 인해 shunt형 기기로 점차 응용이 확대되고 있다. 정상 상태에서 대략 0.7∼0.8의 변조지수 범위에서 작동한다. 고변조지수에서는 부스트 벡터인 zero vector가 인가되지 않아도 DC-link 전압은 일정하게 유지된다. 이것은 3-레벨 컨버터의 여러 벡터 중 zero vector 이외에도 또 다른 boost vector가 존재한다는 것을 의미한다. 본 논문은 boost vector의 원리를 살펴보고 3레벨 컨버터에서 zero vector와 또 다른 boost vector와의 차이점을 고찰하였다. 또한 본 논문은 두 토폴로지의 충전 전류와 커패시터 전압을 해석하고 비교한다 이 전압과 전류는 스위칭 상태와 기준전압과 관련되어 있고 이것을 이용하여 각 커패시터의 충전전류와 전압리플에 대한 계산 방법을 제안하였고 다양한 DC-Link 전압제어 방법을 시뮬레이션을 통해 비교하였다.

Input-Output Feedback Linearization of Sensorless IM Drives with Stator and Rotor Resistances Estimation

  • Direct torque control (DTC) of induction machines (IM) is a well-known strategy of these drives control which has a fast dynamic and a good tracking response. In this paper a nonlinear DTC of speed sensorless IM drives is presented which is based on input-output feedback linearization control theory. The IM model includes iron losses using a speed dependent shunt resistance which is determined through some effective experiments. A stator flux vector is estimated through a simple integrator based on stator voltage equations in the stationary frame. A novel method is introduced for DC offset compensation which is a major problem of AC machines, especially at low speeds. Rotor speed is also determined using a rotor flux sliding-mode (SM) observer which is capable of rotor flux space vector and rotor speed simultaneous estimation. In addition, stator and rotor resistances are estimated using a simple but effective recursive least squares (RLS) method combined with the so-called SM observer. The proposed control idea is experimentally implemented in real time using a FPGA board synchronized with a personal computer (PC). Simulation and experimental results are presented to show the capability and validity of the proposed control method.
