Noise evaluation method of DC motor according to change of load (부하에 따른 DC모터 소음 평가법)

  • Motor noise is a major concern in order to improve perceptual feeling of car interior sound due to increased motor usage in passenger cars. The purpose of this study is to propose factors that can represent the acoustic performance of motor noise according to the change of load. To this end, at first, it is shown that power spectrum and total loudness are not fit for noise performance, and then, PNB, partial loudness related to the brush friction component, and PNR, partial loudness related to the torque ripple component are investigated as factors representing motor noise. The performance curve of motor noise using PNB and PNR is proposed to identify trends of motor noise according to the loads. The curve could be a guide for the noise control, the selection of motor, and the improvement of a system.

State Transition Fault Diagnosis in Brushless DC Motor Based on Fuzzy System (퍼지를 이용한 BLDC 모터의 상태천이 고장진단)

  • In this paper we proposed a model of a fault diagnosis expert system with high reliability to compare identical well-functioning motors. The purpose of the survey was to determine if any differences exit among these identical motors and to identify exactly what these differences were, if in fact they were found. Using measured data for many identical brushless dc motors, this study attempted to find out whether normal and fault can be classified by each other. Measured data was analyzed using the State Transition Model (STM). Based on a proposed STM method, the effect of a different normal state is minimized and the detection of fault is improved in identical motor system. Experimental results are presented to prove that STM method could be a useful tool for diagnosing the condition of identical BLDE motors.

  • 본 논문은 자동차 연료 펌프의 수명을 결정짓는 연료펌프용 DC모터의 브러시-정류자간의 전압, 전류 특성을 분석 하는 것이다. 기존의 DC모터 실험으로는 정류자와 브러시 표면상태 확인이 어렵고 코일 전류 파형 및 브러시-정류자간 전압 강압 파형이 측정 불가했다. 그리고 모터의 L값을 변화 시킬 수 없기 때문에 다양한 조건의 실험이 불가 하였다. 이러한 단점을 보완하여 브러시-정류자간 전압 파형을 측정을 하기 위해 시뮬레이터를 개발하는 것이 본 논문의 주제이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 낮은 배터리 전압을 효율적으로 승압하여 전기자동차 구동용 모터를 구동하기 위한 DC-link 전압을 확보하기 위한 승압형 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안하는 컨버터는 배터리와 출력 콘덴서가 직렬 결합되어 출력전압을 형성하는 구조로서 배터리 셀의 적층 수를 감소시킬 수 있어 구조적 신뢰성을 증가시킬 수 있고, 출력전압 전력반도체 소자 수를 최소화하여 전기적 신뢰성을 증가시킬 수 있는 장점을 가진다. 제안하는 컨버터의 이론적 분석을 기반으로 시뮬레이션을 통해 타당성을 검증한다.

A Study on the Immunity Improvement of Semiconductor Switching Components (반도체 스위칭소자의 내성특성 개선에 관한 연구)

  • The switching components to control the speed of dc motor, which perform vital fuction in a modern motor vehicle or a ship, are susceptibile to suffer damage or upset by switching transient. An equivalent circuit was derived, in this paper, to select an ideal component having immunity against the switching transient among varisotor, zenner diode, etc. Furthermore, we have carried out the optimal improved transient protection circuit design in the view of cost effectiveness, proper wave form of transient defined by the international regulations. The process and cause of the damages in the switching components were examined. Then, the immunity improvement of semiconductor switching components to control a dc motor has been achieved considering impedance condition accoring to the variation of the diverting transient current.

  • This paper presents the parallel distributed control scheme for shaping of the bent glass. The designed system consists of a PC, a main controller and 11 servo-controllers, the precision motion controllers. Each elements are connected by using RS-232C and 8-bit data bus. In order to guarantee the stability and the control performance, we use a precision PID motion controller and a H-bridge on the servo-drivers. PC calculates position values of 11 DC motors by using the pre-determined curvature value and offers the user interface environment operator. The main controller provides the control instructions and parameter values to 11 servo-controllers by chip enable signal, simultaneously. Using the received commands and parameter values, the servo-controllers control the positions of the DC motors based on PID control scheme.

  • Brushless DC(BLDC) 모터는 브러시가 없어 고속 회전에 유리하기 때문에 핸드피스 모터에 많이 적용하는 추세이다. 핸드피스 모터는 부피가 작을수록 유리하여 홀 센서를 장착하지 않은 경우가 많기 때문에 센서리스 제어를 하여야 한다. BLDC 모터의 상 역 기전력 zero crossing 감지 방법을 이용한 센서리스 제어를 할 시 40,000rpm에 달하는 고속 회전에서 상 전압 floating 구간이 $250{\mu}s$밖에 안되기 때문에 샘플링이 부족하고 스위칭 노이즈도 강해 zero crossing에 대한 감지가 어려울 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 역 기전력에 대한 비선형 필터인 majority function을 응용함으로써 모터 상 역기전력의 zero crossing을 감지해내고 고속 BLDC 모터 센서리스 제어를 하는 방법을 소개한다.

  • There are a lot of methods available in designing PID(Proportional-Integral-Derivative) and Lead/Lag controllers in the industrial field of technology because of their useful advantages such as simplicity and robustness. In an early stage of development process, a computational simulation approach is a very efficient tool for the designs of the controllers. Thus, in this paper we propose a cost-effective, and practically efficient. The PID and Lead/Lag controllers. To show the effectiveness of the proposed Lead/Lag controller, we compare and contrast of the simulation results of each controller with the Matlab simulator. Although we have only considered the DC motors for the controllers, but it could be extended in future developments to more complex plants. As a result, the proposed frameworks could be used to solve industrial problems such as a reduction in development cycle time and minimizing system errors.

  • Five control methods (Speed Control, PID Gain Scheduling, Loop Time Control, Simple PID, Switching Control) have been applied to the control of an Inline Co-axial valve by the simulation of AMESim. The simulation results have shown that the speed control method is the most stable and the fastest way to reach to the set point in the simulation of the flow control. Moreover, It has been found that the five control methods have the almost same characteristics in the power consumption, the counter electromotive force, and the motor angular velocity. According to the analysis results, the fast and stable control characteristics of the speed control method is the most suitable for the flow control using a inline co-axial valve with a DC(BLCD) motor.
