Our country's coast is vulnerable area to natural disaster which the repetitive damages occur every year including a loss of lives, the damage of facilities and erosion mostly except for the east coast because of a typhoon, tidal waves, sea water overflowing by topographic structure of low-lying gentle slope and shallow sea. However, as for prevention of natural disaster occurring every year, the situation is that it's centered on the restorationcentered measures and the general disaster prevention research to minimize damages at the time of disaster occurrence is insufficient. This study intendedlop t to devehe techniques possible for real time sampling of damage prediction areas on Web in order to support decision making for damage prevention and establishment of disaster prevention policy. For this, the thematic map was produced related to disaster based on high-resolution satellite picture, and the environmental DB similar to real world was constructed through topographic construction of three-dimension integrating the parts of land and the sea. In addition, the system was developed possible for the expression of damageable regions by real time grasp of dangerous regions at the time of disaster occurrence through over flowing simulation of three-dimension, and it's intended to prepare a basis to minimize damages to disaster situations through it.

Research and development projects in Research and development projects in Korea are ineffectively conducted due to the lack of a system for effectively planning, conducting and disseminating the result of the research projects. In this study, we have designed a framework for system that can be used in the planning and managing stage of National R & D information to guarantee standardization and extendability of the information. A national R & D technology information portal system for managing the distributed national R & D information on a single database is suggested based on this framework for the construction of a more effective information support system and the dissemination of national R & D information between researchers.

In this paper, we developed the on-line Diagnostic & Monitoring system of distribution transformers using wireless communication. The Diagnostic system consists of the top oil temperature sensing, ambient temperature sensing. load current sensing, acoustic emission peak-value sensing, acoustic emission pulse counter and wireless communication part. The Monitoring system consists of the communication setting, online monitoring and database construction part. The Diagnostic system send the date acquired from the some sensors of the distribution transformers to the host PC. The Monitoring program of the host PC store the data to database. And the Monitoring system estimates the loss of life from the DB. Thus it could be managed the career and the functional lifetime of the transformer more efficiently than existing methodologies.

Design of experiments based on Taguchi's orthogonal array is utilized for exploring the design space and for building response surface models of insulator and isolator database in order to facilitate the effective solution of multi-objective optimization commonly occurred in NVH problems. Response surface models, called engineering database of design space, provide an efficient means to rapidly model the trade-off among many conflicting NVH goals in automotive. In the design of insulator and isolator in automotive interior part, it is important not only to construct effective matrices of NVH but also to build up engineering database of current products. The experimental design especially based on orthogonal array and the nonlinear optimization algorithms are successfully used together to obtain the optimal design of insulator and isolator. The $2^{nd}$ order response surface models of absorption coefficient and insertion loss are constructed by using modified Taguchi's $L_{12}2^13^7$ orthogonal array and successfully used in optimal design of insulator and isolator.

In this paper, we designed data transformation interface for the automation of PCB product. The data designed to CAD does not exchange itself for the assembly line, so we analyzed the information of PCB components designed to CAD and developed human error detect algorithm. We also constructed database for the information of IC components. Developed the algorithm can change to the data suitable for the assembly line of PCB and this system was designed to do addition and revision of the components through the user interface. By automating existing manual processing, we were able to shorten the time of 1-2 days to several minutes and enhance reliability of the data and the efficient assembly line of PCB.

Therefore, in this paper, Present direction of home automation system that can have high efficiency into low expense, induction of automation system is easied in the home. Also, install can be easy and do remote control in PC, HP, PDA because use PLC or HN RF, DB.

This paper deals with the network interface of research and observation instruments in the oceanographic research vessel with an establishment of related database for measured information. The system is implemented to integrated communication network system which allows to effective survey by using real time observation and GUI(Graphic User Interface). The system also consists of the LAN systems and serial interface to link chemical, physical, biological and environmental relations. And, other network service and vessel data service for data communication between vessel and earth station such as INMARSAT-B, WWW service, BBS, E-Mail etc. are needed for integrated communication network system.

The international government committee is progressing their agreements about intellectual property protection of traditional knowledge(TK), gene resource(GR), folklore(FL) in WIPO. It is in the course of selection with precedence of TK, GR, FL in WlPO, focused on discussions about listing of TK documents, standardization of DB construction, sharing and profit distribution of GR. Their are disagreements between developed countries and underdeveloped countries about intellectual property protection agreements of TK, GR. The developed countries insist on using, the existing intellectual property protections, but the underdeveloped countries ask new ones on character of TK, GR, It causes intangible assets to be valuable trade properties in future world trade. We have to make national plans to face agreements about IP of TK, GR in WIPO with our own TK, GR. We must have a basic attitude about laying down these plans such as raising national economy, considering our TK, GR to be relics of mankind culture. In addition to these, it needs accurate analysis about agreements in WIPO, our TK, GR, scientific mechanical level and capital power.

SGML(Standard Generalized Markup Language) and its application to full-text database including a table, a figure and a picture are explained. A structure of SGML based full-text database Is defined by DTD(document type definition) written in SGML, and full-text itself is described with generalized markup depending on DTD. This article explains how to represent a document structure : a hierarchical structure like a chapter, a section, or a paragraph, or non-hierarchical(referencial) structure like a note, a table, a figure or a picture. Merits of SGML, electronic publishing, a retrieval system or hypertext and SGML tools are also described.
