Role of environments is one of today's most widely discussed and debated topic in the field of extra-galactic astronomy. Extreme morphology-density relations found in low-mass galaxies are considered to be the result of an effective role played by environment in the evolution of these galaxies. I will present the results from our dedicated study of early-type dwarf galaxies (dEs) in different environments using imaging and spectroscopic data. We find that Virgo cluster dEs have a variety of structural and kinematic properties. A significant fraction of dEs possesses disk features, such as spiral arm and bar, while a central nucleus seems to be universal in these low mass galaxies. We also find that a majority of dEs are fast rotator and their rotation curves are much steeper than that of spiral galaxies of similar mass. Finally I will discuss how the different environmental mechanisms, i.e., gas-stripping or tidal interaction, can contribute to form heterogeneous dEs in Virgo cluster.

A microorganism, YS-221-B strain which powerfully produced $\alpha$-D-Glucosidase Inhibitor was isolated from soil. The morphological, cultural characteristics and physiological properties of the strain were investigated. As the results of various examinations, the strain YS-221-B was identified to be similar to Streptomyces flavouirens except the utilization of raffinose, i-inositol among the various carbon sources.

Most of the surface/interface analysis tools have limited depth profiling c capability in terms of the profiling range and the depth resolution. However, M MEIS can profile the surface and subsurface composition and structure q quantitatively and non-destructively with atomic layer depth resolution. I In this presentation, the MEIS system developed at KRISS will be briefly d described with an introduction on the principle of MEIS. Recent MEIS r results on the surface and interface composition and structural change due to i ion bombardment will be presented for preferential sputtering of T:없Os and d damage depth profiles of SHooD, Pt(l11), and Cu(l1D due to Ar+ ion b bombardment. Direct observation of strained Si lattices and its distribution i in the SHool)-SiCh interface and the initial stage of Co growth on Pt(l11) w will be reported. H surfactant effects on epitaxial growth of Ge on Si(ooD w will be discussed with STM results from SND.

Short channel a-Si:H TFT devices with Cu electrodes have been investigated. Short channel TFTs are defined by new plasma etch process. When the channel length becomes shorter, the TFT characteristics (threshold voltage, off current, sub threshold voltage, etc.,) are degraded. These degraded characteristics can be improved through the hydrogen plasma treatment and new gate insulator structure. Using these processes, 15.0 inch XGA LCD panel was fabricated successfully where the channel length of the TFT devices was about 2.5 micrometers.

These days, as digital producing technique has been developed, 3D imaging technique is used in high-tech computer and T.V. Also study for 3D producing technique is actively in progress. Moreover, as James Cameron's movie, 'Avatar' released in 2009 was a box office hit, the issue about 3D image came to the fore again. At this point, I decided to study the effect of the visual depth caused by the color correction during the post-production stage. The purpose of this study is to offer information about processing effective images through data about the effect of the visual depth that applies the color correction during the post-production stage. Basically, I supposed that color and contract would have effects on depth of 3D image. As a result, I could find out the changes of visual depth, space perception and sense of depth throughout the experiment. Applying this result,, I produced the 15 minutes of 3D advertisement movie and I found out that the color correction during the post-production stage was very effective for 3D depth. The left image and the right image by beam splitter based rig and parallel rig were used for this study. Also I adjusted the strong contrast by the color correction during the post-production stage after correcting convergence and visual depth during editing. As a result, I could produce images which had strong sense of space and sense of depth.

To investigate the genetic polymorphisms and constitutions of blood proteins and enzymes in the Korean native cattle population of National Livestock Cooperatives Federation(NLCF), the genetic variants of transferrin(Tf), post-transferrin-2(pTf-2), albumin(Alb), post-albumin(pAlb), ceruloplasmin(Cp), amylase-I(Am-I) and herroglobin(Hb) were analyzed using the PAGE(polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis) and ST AGE(starch gel electrophoresis) methods. On the genetic variants of the serum proteins, the transferrin(Tf) locus was assumed to be genetically controlled by codominant alleles, Tf A, $D_1$, $D_2$ and E alleles, and the gene frequencies of these were 0.249, 0.248, 0.260 and 0.243, respectively. The post-transferrin locus was observed to be controlled by pTf-2 F and S alleles, and the gene frequencies of these were 0.662 and 0.338, respectively. The post-albumin(pAlb) loci were identified to be controlled by two alleles, pAlb F and S alleles for pAlb locus, and the gene frequncies of these were 0.440 and 0.560 for pAlb F and S alleles, respectively. On the genetic variants of the serum enzymes, ceruloplasmin(Cp) and amylase-I(Am-I) loci were found to be controlled by two alleles, Cp F and S for Cp locus, and Am-I B and C for Am-I locus, and gene frequencies of these were 0.319 and 0.681 for Cp F and S, and 0.871 and 0.120 for Am-I Band C, respectively. On the genetic variants of the hemoglobin(Hb), the distributions of genotypes were 76.5, 21.2 and 2.3% for Hb AA, AB and BB types, and the gene frequnecies for Hb A and B were 0.871 and 0.129, respectively. On the effects of genetic variants of blood proteins, Tf $D_1D_1$, $D_2D_2$ and $D_2E$ genotypes were significantly higher on body weight at 6 month and average daily gain than that of other Tf genotypes.

Il y a aussi plusieurs ressources historiques et culturels sur les $\hat{i}$les de Go et d'Est: le cimeti$\grave{a}$r d'arm$\acute{e}$e anglaise li$\acute{e}$e $\grave{a}$ l'occupation ill$\acute{e}$gale de l'$\hat{i}$le de Geomun en 1885; le site historique de Kim Ryu(金劉) qui a enseign$\acute{e}$ les disciples de confucianisme et qui a $succ{\acute{e}}d{\acute{e}}$ au Confucius; la for$\hat{e}$t de feuillus de zone $temp{\acute{e}}r{\acute{e}}e$ sur l'$\hat{i}$le d'Ouest et la ceinture de falaise sur l'$\hat{i}$le de Baek. Une route g$\acute{e}$otouristique part de l'$\hat{i}$le d'Ouest et continue $\grave{a}$ l'$\hat{i}$le d'Est: c'est la route $\acute{e}$cologique, historique et culturel sur l'$\hat{i}$le de Geomun. L'autre route continue de la c$\hat{o}$te de l'$\hat{i}$le de Baek: c'est la route de paysages g$\acute{e}$omorphiques et g$\acute{e}$ologiques. The deer was inseminated at the breeding season, which only shows appearance of the estrus cycles. Early diagnosis of pregnancy is very useful to select non-pregnant does and also very important to decide re-inseminations or mating for producing of calves.
