The application of AE transducer for the bearing condition monitoring of low-speed machine (저속 회전 기계의 베어링 Condition Monitoring을 위한 AE 변환기 적용)

  • Acoustic emission (AE) was originally developed for non-destructive testing of static structure, but over the year its application has been extended to health monitoring of rotating machines and bearings. It offers the advantage of earlier defect detection in comparison with monitoring bearing. This study was diagnosed low-speed machine which had a fault bearing for early detection by AE. And the artificial faults in a experimentation bearing was made for the bearing signals from difference speed and load were compared and analyzed by AE.

  • This paper describes the current characteristics of outage generator for microgrid in outage mode operation. The outage can be generated with 3-phase voltage disturbance generator. The STS current becomes very huge during the first cycle of the outage, and the magnitude of the current depends on the time impedance, series transformer leakage inductance, interfacing reactor of PCS, and the maximum allowable PCS output current. The current and load voltage waveform are analysed through simulation.

  • SCT thin films were deposited with substitutional contents of Ca using RF magnetron sputtering method, and the structural and dielectric properties are investigated. SEM and XRB were examined to analysis of structural characteristics. The crtstallinity of SCT thin films and dielectric constant were increased at Ca 15[mol%]. While, it was decreased when the substitutional contents of Ca exceed over 15[mol%].

  • A motorcycle helmet is very essential to protect the head of driver and it is directly connected to driver's life. Prior to producing the helmet, it has to be passed the process of impact test to evaluate its safety. This test evaluates peak acceleration and head injury criteria (H.I.C.). This paper simulates the impact test with finite element method to find the behavior of helmet during the test. Also, the effect of impact sites on the helmet was evaluated to improve the thickness distribution of the helmet.

  • In this paper, the characteristics of the proposed converter are show by simulation. As a result, the power factor is improved and the results show the usefulness of the proposed circuit. To improve the hard switching at turn-off of the basic circuit, the circuit using a current resonant switch is proposed. In the proposed circuit, THD of the input current is reduced to 1.8 of the basic circuit. The mechanism of the THD reduction is clarified. That is because the on period becomes shorter at the peak of the source voltage. Using the simulation, the characteristics of the output voltage, current flowing the switch, and THD of the input current are investigated by changing the resonant circuit parameters. Criteria for choosing resonant parameters of smaller THD are obtained.

  • It studied modelling about employing analog PSS in domestic 500MW grade standard thermoelectric power plant in this paper. Modeling and parameters were verified by simulation of PSS response characteristics measured in AVR step examination and using power plant system model parameters decided by generator characteristics test. Through this PSS modelling research, contributed in domestic electrical power system small signal stability as that do modelling to be possible exact analysis of power system.

  • A numerical investigation was performed to determine the effect of airfoil on the optimum flap height using NACA 0021 Wells turbine. The five double flaps which have 0.5% chord height difference were selected. A Navier-Stokes code, FLUENT, was used to calculate the flow field of the Wells turbine. The basic feature of the Wells turbine is that even though the cyclic airflow produces oscillating axial forces on the airfoil blades, the tangential force on the rotor is always in the same direction. Geometry used to define the 3-D numerical grid is based upon that of an experimental test rig. This paper tries to analyze the optimum double flap of Wells turbine with the numerical analysis.

  • Tire-pavement noise is a significant portion of noise coming from road vehicles and is therefore a logical focus of efforts to reduce overall traffic noise. A small but significant reduction of noise level with positive temperature increases was observed for some tires. The reduction was evident in two of the tires at 53 km/h and five of the tires at 80 km/h. The temperature gradient of the different tires at 80 km/h range from -0.07 to +0.01 dB/$^{\circ}C$. Frequency analysis of the tire noise identified that noise content in the range of 1,300 to 1,900 Hz is particularly sensitive to temperature changes.

  • This paper describe a (mite element computer simulation of a absorption system using full scale car crash test. The full scale test selected for this study is a 80kmh frontal, side and 25% offset impact of a 1993 Ford Taurus vehicle into a absorption system. This absorption system has external rubber and internal steel pannel. This simulation has completed for decision of these components energy absorption performance. Dynamical performance of this system and movement are obtained from this simulation. and then We can appreciate the safety of passenger from measure the vehicle C.G's acceleration.

  • 본 논문에서는 연료전지에 연결되는 부하가 어떠한 주파수특성을 갖는 것이 바람직한지 알아보기 위해 출력 리플전류 주파수에 따른 연료전지 수명의 영향을 알아보았다. 전자부하를 통해 일정한 크기의 리플전류를 주파수대역을 바꿔가며 단위 셀에 인가하여 장시간 운전한 뒤 연료전지의 전압-전류곡선을 측정하였다. 측정된 전압-전류곡선을 통해 연료전지의 성능을 비교함으로써 어떠한 출력 리플전류 주파수가 연료전지 수명에 더 큰 영향을 주는지 확인하였다.
