Spectral and Cepstral Analyses of Esophageal Speakers (식도발성화자 음성의 spectral & cepstral 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze spectral versus cepstral measurements in esophageal speakers. The comparison between the measurements in thirteen male esophageal speakers was compared with the control group of thirteen normal speakers using the sustained vowel /a/. The main results can be summarized as below: (a) the CPP and L/H ratio of the esophageal group were significantly lower than those of the control group (b) the CPP was significantly correlated with the spectral parameters such as jitter, shimmer, NHR and VTI, and (c) the ROC analysis showed that the threshold of 10.25dB for the CPP achieved a good classification for esophageal speakers, with 100% perfect sensitivity and specificity. Thus, it was known that cepstral-based acoustic measures such as CPP, may be more reliable predictors than other spectral-based acoustic measures such as jitter and shimmer. And it was found that cepstral-based acoustic measures were effective in distinguishing esophageal voice quality from normal voice quality. This research will contribute to establishing a baseline related to speech characteristics in voice rehabilitation with laryngectomees.

THE AERO-ACOUSTIC ANALYSIS FOR EACH PART OF DOUBLE ARM PANTOGRAPH OF HIGH SPEED TRAIN (전산해석을 통한 고속철도 더블암 팬터그래프의 부재별 공력소음특성 연구)

  • In this study, an aero-acoustic analysis around pantograph of a high speed train is performed. Computational technique and grid system is validated with wind tunnel test result and unsteady acoustic pressure data are used for analyzing noise level of each part of pantograph. FLUENT is used for flow analysis and LES(Large Eddy Simulation) is applied for analyzing turbulent flow. For acoustic analysis, Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings(FW-H) acoustics model is used and it bring the aero-acoustic characteristic of pantograph. As the result, contact strip, knee, substructure of pantograph is confirmed as a main source of aero-acoustic noise and it is dealt in various frequencies. The result is expected to help building improved grid system.

  • We are developing a vol-oxidizer which transforms the spent $UO_2$ pellets into the $U_3O_8$ power through oxidizing process. The vol-oxidizer consists of furnace, filter, heater and valve etc. When the filter is blocked by the powder, the internal pressure of the furnace is increased owing to the air flow restriction. Then, the furnace vessel is swelled and deformed by it. In this paper, we proposed a procedure of the thermal analysis for furnace vessel design of spent fuel vol-oxidizer. In this work, we determined the thickness of the furnace through analyzing the internal pressure and the thermal stress of the furnace with respect to various pressure and temperature. To analyze the thermal stress, we used ANSYS 8.0 for constructing a FEM model of the furnace, and then analyzed it based on the ASME code. We also surveyed the material property and yield stress of SUS304 with various temperature. Analysis results are compared with the yield stress of the material. We manufactured the furnace and conduct the verification experiments.

Influence of post-annealing on DC degradation characteristics in $ZnO-Bi_2O_3$ Varistor ($ZnO-Bi_2O_3$ 계 바리스터에서 후열처리가 DC 열화 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • The relationship between the DC degradation characteristics of the $ZnO-Bi_2O_3$ varistor and post-annealing is investigated in this study. $ZnO-Bi_2O_3$ varistors containing $SiO_2$ range 0.3 mol% were fabricated by standard ceramic techniques. The post- annealing is performed at $550^{\circ}C$ for 0, 1.5 and 5h. A little phase transition is found according to the analysis of X-ray diffraction. DC degradation tests were conducted at $115\pm3^{\circ}C$ for periods up to 22h. Current-voltage analysis was used to determine nonlinear coefficients($\alpha$). Capacitance-voltage analysis enable the donor density($N_d$) and the barrier height($E_B$) to be determined. From above analysis, it is found that the past-annealing for 5h improved degradation characteristics in $ZnO-Bi_2O_3$ with Si additive.

  • 최근에 클라우드 기반으로 가상 네트워크 기능이 더해진 Network Function Virtualization(NFV)이 미래 네트워크 설계에 큰 이슈가 되고 있다. NFV는 클라우드 보다 네트워크 토폴로지가 있고, 정책에 따른 변경이 용이해야 되며, 고가용성이 요구되고, 높은 전송률 처리를 위해 고성능이어야 한다. NFV 전체 구조에서 최상위 제어기인 Orchestrator의 구조와 제품을 분석하고자 한다. NFV 제품으로는 Cyan사의 Blue Planet, HP사의 Director, Ericsson사의 Cortex Service Orchestrator, Telefornica사의 Openmano 등이 있다. 이때 소스와 GUI가 공개 된 Openmano를 분석하여 Orchestrator 이해에 도움이 되고자 한다.

Analysis on the Noise Levels of the Passing Train in the High Speed Train Terminals (고속철도역사 통과구간의 소음도 분석)

  • 본 논문은 고속철도 역사의 통과구간 설계에 있어서 소음방지에 효과적인 설계안을 검토하기 위하여 7가지의 다양한 대안의 모델을 시뮬레이션하여 그 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 고속열차의 최대 운영속도 300 km/h 기준시 승강장의 허용소음도는 약 91 dB(A) 일 때 이를 만족하는 설계안은 통과구간의 양쪽에 설치하는 방음벽으로는 부족하며 통과구간을 곡면유리로 폐쇄한 터널식의 설계가 허용소음도를 만족하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 컴퓨터 그래픽스를 이용하여 3차원 물체를 모델링하는 방법은 그 이론적 배경에서 크게 두 가지로 나뉘는데, 직선들과 삼각형 혹은 사각형들을 연결하는 폴리곤 모델링 방법과 NURBS(Non Uniform Ra-tional B-splines)라는 수학적으로 정의된 곡선 혹은 곡면을 이용하는 방법이 있다. 본 고는 이미 상용화되어 사용되고 있는 몇 가지 3차원 모델링 소프트웨어들의 기능 중에서 NURBS 모델링 기능을 살펴보고 이를 비교.분석해 본다.
