In the realm of dental prosthesis fabrication, obtaining accurate impressions has historically been a challenging and inefficient process, often hindered by hygiene concerns and patient discomfort. Addressing these limitations, Company D recently introduced a cutting-edge solution by harnessing the potential of intraoral scan images to create 3D dental models. However, the complexity of these scan images, encompassing not only teeth and gums but also the palate, tongue, and other structures, posed a new set of challenges. In response, we propose a sophisticated real-time image segmentation algorithm that selectively extracts pertinent data, specifically focusing on teeth and gums, from oral scan images obtained through Company D's oral scanner for 3D model generation. A key challenge we tackled was the detection of the intricate molar regions, common in dental imaging, which we effectively addressed through intelligent data augmentation for enhanced training. By placing significant emphasis on both accuracy and speed, critical factors for real-time intraoral scanning, our proposed algorithm demonstrated exceptional performance, boasting an impressive accuracy rate of 0.91 and an unrivaled FPS of 92.4. Compared to existing algorithms, our solution exhibited superior outcomes when integrated into Company D's oral scanner. This algorithm is scheduled for deployment and commercialization within Company D's intraoral scanner.
Objective : Superficial temporal artery (STA)-middle cerebral artery (MCA) anastomosis is conducted for flow augmentation. In this study, we measured the STA cut flow of a Korean population and evaluated the relationship between STA cut flow and long-term patency of the bypass. Methods : A retrospective study was conducted. Intraoperative measurement of STA flow was conducted using a microvascular flow meter on patients who underwent STA-MCA. After cutting the distal end, the STA flow rate was measured with no resistance and recorded. After finishing anastomosis, STA flow was measured and recorded. The cut flow index was calculated by dividing post anastomosis flow by cut flow in intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis patients. Results : The median STA cut flow was 35.0 mL/min and the post anastomosis flow was 24.0 mL/min. The cut flow of STA decreased with aging (p=0.027) and increased with diameter (p=0.004). The cut flow showed no correlation with history of hypertension or diabetes mellitus (p=0.713 and p=0.786), but did correlate a positively with history of hyperlipidemia (p=0.004). There were no statistical differences in cut flow, STA diameter, and post anastomosis flow between the frontal and parietal branches (p=0.081, p=0.853, and p=0.990, respectively). Conclusion : The median STA cut flow of a Korean population was 35 mL/min. Upon reviewing previous articles, it appears that there are differences in the STA cut flow between Western and Asian patients.

The purpose of this study is to attempt to use broken red brick, which is categorized as impurities of circular aggregate to thick aggregate, as a replacement for concrete. Through the material test and performance test for each mixing rate of the broken red brick (0%, 30%, 60%), the following conclusion was reached by studying the material and structural characteristics of circular aggregate to the concrete. Even though broken red brick, which is categorized as impurities of circular aggregate, is mixed 30% with normal rubble, the compression strength, intensity strength, and curving strength was similar to that of concrete that uses normal rubble. Therefore, concrete beam made with broken red brick can be applied to the real construction field. Also, the study regarding the cutting test of the concrete that uses broken red brick and regarding applying and mixing admixture that can increase the ductility factor will be required in the future.
This study was conducted to examine the effect by different types and concentrations of auxin on the rooting and growth of strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa Duch. cv. Maehyang) cuttings in the greenhouse. The NAD (1-naphthylacetamide), IBA (indole-3-butyric acid), and IAA (3-indoleacetic acid) were applied with a 1 hour soaking as 50, 100, 150, and 200 mg·L-1, respectively. The non-treatment was set as the control. The cuttings of strawberry were transplanted in the strawberry seedling tray filled with coir medium on June 4, 2020. The humidification was carried out for 2 weeks. The average relative humidity, daytime temperature, and nighttime temperature inside the humidification tunnel was 63.4 ± 15%, 29.3 ± 5℃, and 16.2 ± 5℃, respectively. There was no significant difference in rooting rate on the control, IBA, and IAA treatments. However, significantly low rooting rates were observed in NAD treatments. The survival rates were significantly higher in the control and IBA with 50 mg·L-1 than in other treatments. The number of leaves was the highest in IBA with 100 mg·L-1. The root length was the longest in the control. More number of roots were counted in IAA with 100 and 150 mg·L-1. The dry weight of root was the heaviest in the control. The total root length, root surface, number of root tips, and number of root forks were significantly higher in the control. As a result, control, IAA, and IBA showed similar shoot and root growth. However, NAD showed the worst root and shoot growth. Consequently, compared with IAA and IBA, NAD was not appropriate plant growth regulator of rooting for cutting propagated strawberries.
This study was conducted to find out the effect of cut-off period (0 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours, and 24 hours) to supply nutrient solution for chicon forcing at that was predrying treatment on the storability of chicon. The cut-off treatment increased dry matter rate, respiration rate, and ethylene production rate. The dry matter rate of chicon increased, as the cut-off period increased, but the respiration rate and ethylene production rate of chicon was highest in 12 hours and 6 hours cut-off treatment, respectively, and then their rates decreased, as the cut-off period prolonged. The weight loss at cut-off 6 hours treatment was lower than other treatments during $10^{\circ}C$ storage temperature. The cut-off 6 hours treatment showed higher carbon dioxide and oxygen concentration in 10,000 cc/$m^2$/day/atm oxygen permeability film package during storage period than control and showed a little predrying effect but was not statistically significant. At $4^{th}$ day, the ethylene concentration reached higher than other storage day and after that decreased but was not statistically significant. The quality of chicon for 3 hours, 6 hours, 24 hours cut-off treatments on storability showed higher than other treatments, accordingly. The 6 hours cut-off treatment showed the inhibited effect of the degree of browning of chicon cutting plane. The effect of 6 hours cut-off treatment on storability of chicon showed proper predrying effect, reduced moisture loss and browning inhibition apparently during $10^{\circ}C$ storage.

This study carried out a phytosociological research by Z.-M. school's method describing vegetation structure and management solution about nutmeg tree's(Torreya nucifera ) forests. The nutmeg tree's forests have developed intervale and hills in warm-temperate evergreen broad-leaved forests zone. The nutmeg tree's forests composed 50 familly, 80 genus, 88 species divided two syntaxa(typical sub-community, Arachniodes aristata sub-community) by species composition and correspond to habitat condition. The nutmeg tree's forests show a uniform forest's structure which composed 3~4 layer of sub-tree and shrub. And it was worthy of special mention which characterized diagnostic species of Camellietea japonicae in the warm-temperate evergreen broad-leaved forests. In case of forests floor, were a high rate in order of Ophiopogon japonicus, Polystichum tripteron, Arisaema ringens. And Oplismenus undulatifolius which represent mantle communities as well. This indicates that the nutmeg tree's forests are exposed by humman effects sustainedly. The nutmeg tree's young trees appeared a high rate at half shade and shade. The vigorous tree species have to spacing cutting instead of the heavy thinning that consist in with a shout of declining astructur and function of the forest ecosystem for maintaining a nutmeg tree's forests. And we suggest for the density regulation of the sub-tree and shrub. In conclusion, need to the continuous monitoring about the vegetation structure and management solution for the sustainable nutmeg tree's forests.

Diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings have been widely applied to the mechanical components, cutting tools due to properties of high hardness and wear resistance. Among them, hydrogenated amorphous carbon (a-C:H) coatings are well-known for their low friction properties, stable production of thin and thick film, they were reported to be easily worn away under high temperature. Non-hydrogenated tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C) is an ideal for industrial applicability due to good thermal stability from high $sp^3$-bonding fraction ranging from 70 to 80 %. However, the large compressive stress of ta-C coating limits to apply thick ta-C coating. In this study, the thick ta-C coating was deposited onto Inconel alloy disk by the FCVA technique. The thickness of the ta-C coating was about $3.5{\mu}m$. The tribological behaviors of ta-C coated disks sliding against $Si_3N_4$ balls were examined under elevated temperature divided into 23, 100, 200 and $300^{\circ}C$. The range of temperature was setting up until peel off observed. The experimental results showed that the friction coefficient was decreased from 0.14 to 0.05 with increasing temperature up to $200^{\circ}C$. At $300^{\circ}C$, the friction coefficient was dramatically increased over 5,000 cycles and then delaminated. These phenomenon was summarized two kinds of reasons: (1) Thermal degradation and (2) graphitization of ta-C coating. At first, the reason of thermal degradation was demonstrated by wear rate calculation. The wear rate of ta-C coatings showed an increasing trend with elevated temperature. For investigation of relationship between hardness and graphitization, thick ta-C coatings(2, 3 and $5{\mu}m$) were additionally deposited. As the thickness of ta-C coating was increased, hardness decreased from 58 to 49 GPa, which means that graphitization was accelerated. Therefore, now we are trying to increase $sp^3$ fraction of ta-C coating and control the coating parameters for thermal stability of thick ta-C at high temperatures.

The object of this experiment was to suggest the optimum utilization upon rye and hairy vetch crops in Daejeon area. The field trials were conducted from 2002 to 2004 at Chungnam National University in order to evaluate the dry matter yield and quality of rye, hairy vetch, and rye+hairy vetch mixtures. The experiment was designed with split plots (main plot : seeding rate as rye mono culture, hairy vetch monoculture, rye 80%+hairy vetch 20%, rye 60%+hairy vetch 40%, and sub plot : 4 cutting stages as boot, heading, anthesis, milk). The average DM yield for 2 years had a difference on seeding rate and harvesting stages. The DM yield of rye monoculture was higher than those of the other seeding rates. There were significant increases in advanced stages in all treatments. In chemical composition, they also had a difference on seeding rates and growth stages. Hairy vetch monoculture was higher in crude protein (CP) and dry matter digestibility (DMD), but lower in fibrous compound than those of the other seeding rates (p<0.01). The crude protein dry matter (CPDM) and digestible dry matter yield was higher in rye 80%+hairy vetch 20% mixture when it was harvested at anthesis to milk stages. The results of this experiment indicated that when it was harvested at anthesis to the milk stages, rye 80%+hairy vetch 20% mixture was more effective in enhancing the DM yield and forage quality in Daejeon area.
Experiment were conducted to find out the effective drying method of citrus peel produced in Korea by varying the temperature of hot air, surface area of peels, peels from several citrus varieties and physicochemical treatment of the peel. 1. About $3{\sim}6\;days$ were required to reduce the moisture level of the peel from 70%(wet basis) to 20% at room temperature without forced convection. 2. Drying was speeded up until the temperature of hot air reached $60^{\circ}C$. Beyond that no significant increase in drying rate was observed. About 50 minutes were needed to reduce the moisture level (dry basis) to below 10% at $60^{\circ}C$ by forced convection 3. When the peel surface area was increased twice by cutting the peel into 256 fractions, the overall drying time (the time required to reduce the moisture level to 10%, dry basis) was shortened to 15 minutes from 50 mintes of the original peel. 4. No significant difference in drying rate was observed among the peels from several citrus varieties except Shaddock jabon and Citrus ponki tanaka, which dried more slowly than others. 5. Treatment of $Ca(OH)_2$ and the pressing of the peel before drying were effective in drying only when the initial moisture content was substantially higher.
The aim of this work was to investigate how the mulberry shoots grew well when the mulberry branches were cut down, in hight, 1/3, $\frac{1}{2}$ and 2/3 of them, respectively, just before the Spring budding. The results obtained are as follows: 1. The rate of un-sprouted buds decreased sharply down as much as half of the control if the mulberry branches were cut off. The treatment, 1/3, was best one of various cut down sizes and the un-sprouted buds concentrated on the lower parts of the branches. 2. Even though the branches were cut down, at first it seemed flat to accelerate the sprouting of buds, but rather to have a tendency to become late. The speed of leaf growth, however, became faster after the sprouting. It took 7~9 days from the beginning of buddings to the 5th full grown leaf, and.7 days for the shortest one in the treatment, 2/3, when compared with 16 days of the control. 3. If the branches were cut down, the growth of the new sprouts was accelerated. For 45 days (on 5th of May to on 10th of June), therefore. the shoots had grown up to 1.6~2.5 times of the control, 34cm long. The shoots of which the branches were cut down at 2/3 of them were longest (83cm). Furthermore. the speed of shoot growth of cut-down branches was faster than that of the control. 4. In the increased rate of the number of the mulberry leaves, there was not significant difference between the control and the treatments. 5. The total amount of shoot growth showed considerably much more in the treatments than in the control. The successing growing shoots of treatment, 2/3 were little in a number but longest per one shoot in mean shoot length. 6. It seems to be much available that we may cut down branches at 2/3 of them in order to get the scions for the cutting as soon as possible.
