A Study on the Problem and Improvement of CRM in Financial Institutions (금융기관의 CRM문제점과 개선방안에 관한연구)

  • In the age of globalization, effective and efficient corporate management is becoming more important as domestic and international business circumstances changes. In the middle of endless changes in business circumstances, fast reaction to customers and market, and offering customized goods and service became essential. In this respect, CRM designed to utilize customer information scientifically and systematically, has become an essential system and marketing strategy to enhance corporate competitiveness. CRM has placed the importance of customers in the front of marketing and has focused every process and business minds on customers. Recent change in the market and the trend of establishing and introducing CRM system has lead us to concentrate on the introduction of CRM in the financial institutions. This study searched for several views about CRM in academic and industrial papers. Through theoretical approach on CRM, the background of the introduction of CRM, the purpose of CRM, the characteristic and application of CRM, and the expected effect of CRM will be discussed. This study is focused on financial institutions where CRM is widely used. And through documents about examples of the introduction of CRM, the status of the establishment of domestic CRM and the necessity and trend of CRM will be discussed. Also the problem of CRM in the financial institutions and the improvement of CRM in domestic banks will be analyzed. When discussing CRM in the financial area, customers are the main source of corporate profit and through relationship management with the customers enhancing loyalty and maximizing profit can be obtained. Especially in CRM in financial institutions, maintaining existing customers makes higher profit ratio, so repurchasing and cross selling becomes important for obtaining lifetime value of existing customers who contribute to most of the profit of corporations. As a result, CRM should be completely customer oriented. CRM in financial institutions is not merely marketing work, but organizational competence which is made up of standardized work process through total process integration inside the corporation. Corporations which plan to introduce CRM should analyze the characteristics and conditions of corporations and establish purpose and strategy of CRM. And they need long term view to find out the factors which best fit for the introduction of CRM. To enable this, strategy composed of daily marketing activity and CRM concept is necessary. Also continued improvement through drill and training for operating organization should be followed to maintain CRM well. And corporate culture must settle customer as the center of corporate value. The race for introducing and improving CRM has already begun. CRM should not be regarded as a choice. It should be accepted as something essential. In this reality financial institutions should solve subdivision problem of customers and necessity of customers with the mind of 'customer's profit is my profit'. Customer focused management should not be emphasized only by words. Efforts like viewing from the customer's point must be nurtured to provide methods to help customers. That is, we should not just follow what is done in foreign countries. We should solve the problem of our customers according to the situation of our country, our industry, our corporation. Then we can gain the trust of customers, and the value derived from the customers will become the background of CRM which will lead the corporation to success.

  • This study presents how the sharing of values and philosophies in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) links the customer with the enterprise, thereby enhancing its performance. Using channel integration, customer experience management, and partner relationship management, this i-focus case suggests a number of improvements for local corporations that have adopted CRM, but have not succeeded in enterprise-wide integration. Successful execution of CRM strategy is found to require the sharing of values and philosophies not only within the organization, but also with its customers. Furthermore, the study concludes that CRM is an ongoing process which requires continuous evolution through reflection of past activities and dynamic adjustment of objectives in order to reach customer cenricity.

  • Customer relationship management (CRM) comprises a set of processes and nabbing systems supporting a business strategy to build long term, profitable relationships with specific customers. Customer data and information technology(IT) tools form the foundation upon which any successful CRM strategy is built. Recently, the Internet rectifying this life, IT technology and the rapid development taking place over the Internet, customer relationship management, e-CRM has emerged. The purpose of this research is to investigate the important elements of e-CRM which in fluence the customer satisfaction and the brand loyalty in e-shopping mall. And this study is to investigate the relationship between customer satisfaction and repurchase intention and word of mouth intention.

  • Libraries today have to investigate the methods connecting the results from continuously collected customer information with their activities, policies, and procedures. In other to prevent customer secession and to obtain new customers, it is necessary to effectively offer the processes for every customer related service, that is, the contact, the reguest, satisfaction, etc. This is Customer Relationship Management(CRM). This study aims to introduce the concept, the constitution elements, and theories for importation and application of CRM, and to investigate the possibility for library application. Also, it is emphasized the necessity for new marketing strategy Putting the customer value Preferentially in libraries.

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is indispensable for companies in recent business environment, in which the customers are recognized as more valuable asset to increase the earning power of enterprise. For gaining competitive advantage, most companies want to maintain existing customer relationships and generate more profits with customers through long-term relationships. In this study, we developed the models which are designed to select CRM systems in financial institution, which is one of competitive sectors and undergoes rapid changes due to M&A(Merger and acquisition), innovation and reengineering in Korea. The selection model of CRM systems for financial institution was developed utilizing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the expert's knowledge were built up of three groups; researcher group, developer group, and user group. We found that there are significant deferences for the weights of criteria in our selection model according to the kind of experts. This study provides helpful guidance on how to assign appropriate weights to each criteria in selection models when financial institution introduce the CRM systems.

CRM Marketing of Shopmasters in Designer Brand Products (디자이너 브랜드 샵마스터의 CRM에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate influential factors for shopmaster's CRM (Customer Relationship Management) in the designer brand products, and to indicate the future fashion marketing strategies. The questionnaires were distributed to 74 shopmasters of the Designer shop in domestic L. S and H Department stores. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and path analysis from Lisrel program were used to analyze the data. The results were as follows; Firstly. for shopmaster's CRM variables, four factors of customer management variables were found and labeled as interest, DB construction, contact opportunity, and materials. Also, four (actors of shopmaster's knowledge regarding apparel materials were found and labeled as professionalism, manner, sense, and persuasion. For service variables, four factors such as precision, variety, rapidity, positiveness, and convenience of shopping were found. Secondly, for the results of hypothesis, all of the independent variables had direct influences on forming the relationship with customers. Therefore, it is concluded that the main elements of Shopmaster's CRM are highly important variables in customer relationship marketing strategy.

  • This paper object is application of electronic Customers Relationship Management(e-CRM) for buyer relationship commitment in korea export firms. So, I'd like to suggest some applications of e-CRM needed to strengthen the export firms in korea. These applications are as follows First, the export companies are required to e-CRM logical architecture that is needs to achievement of buyer relationship commitment. Second, Buyer data source is classify in to three large group by outside data, transaction data and support data. Third, a concept and function of buyer information database. Fourth, e-CRM campaign management for export marketing. Fifth, interaction of buyer and customizing. finally, a point to be considered of korea export companies are national character, data mining out of buyer information database, difference of data gathering and sustaining up date of buyer's new information.

The Effects of Emotional Intelligence on the Customer Orientation and Customer Relationship Management Performance of Hotel Employees (호텔기업 종업원의 감성지능이 고객지향성과 CRM성과에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose - This study aimed to (a) investigate the effects of emotional intelligence on customer orientation, (b) examine the impact of customer orientation on customer relationship management (CRM) performance (including CRM-related variables such as 'relationship commitment,' 'image of corporation,' and 'customer loyalty'), and (c) identify the conceptual framework of emotional intelligence. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected using a questionnaire given to a sample of employees of luxury hotels in the metropolitan area. To test the hypotheses, AMOS were conducted for the 271 respondents of the sample using the SPSS Win 17.0 software. The concept of emotional intelligence (EI) has been on the radar of many leaders and managers over the past few decades. Emotional intelligence is generally accepted to be a combination of emotional and interpersonal competencies that influence behavior, thoughts, and interactions with others. Emotional intelligence consists of four factors: understanding the self's emotion, understanding other people's emotions, emotion utilization, and emotion control. Understanding the self's emotion means to understand of my own emotions. Understanding other people's emotions is to understand of the emotions of the people around me and to know how my friends feel based on their behavior. The concept of emotion utilization means to set goals for myself and then try to achieve them, encouraging myself to do my best. The concept of emotion control means I can control my temper, handle difficult situations rationally, and calm down quickly when I am very angry. Results - As a result of the analysis, three factors (understanding the self's emotion, understanding of other people's emotions, and emotion utilization) were shown to have a significant effect on customer orientation. Emotion control had an insignificant effect on customer orientation. Only emotion control makes it difficult to solve customers' problems because it is a passive behavior. In order to solve the customers' problems, hotel employees have to show a positive attitude. Second, customer orientation had a significant effect on customer relationship management performance (customer relationship commitment, corporate image, and customer loyalty). In other words, customer orientation increases commitment to customer relationships. For example, employees who have a customer-orientated perspective provide good service to their customers, while employees who don't have a customer-orientated perspective can't satisfy their customers. Customer orientation can also generate a good image among customers, because they evaluate the image of a hotel through the behavior of hotel employees. So it is very important for employees to show excellent customer orientation. Conclusions - It is very important for hotel CEOs to manage their employees' emotional intelligence. In order to increase their employees' emotional intelligence abilities, CEOs have to manage the overall corporate culture and reward programs to achieve what they want. This is because the system can lead to a customer-orientated mind-set and CRM performance among employees. As a result, the hotel CEO has to pay attention to the emotional intelligence of employees to achieve strong CRM performance. The sentence as originally written was a bit unclear.   • In this study, I have analyzed domestic dental clinics which had introduced CRM for customer satisfaction management. The purpose of this study is to provide information for designing efficient CRM. I would suggest some strategies to carry out CRM as followed. First, promote long-term relationship with customers. Second, select a target patient group and classify customers. Third, set a systematic database up. Fourth, make various channels to communicate with customers. In addition, the following ways are essential to be successful in implementing CRM. First, strengthen the service provided at the Moment of Truth (MOT). Second, organize learning in hospital and all the staff should be customer-oriented. Third, perform systematic "internal marketing".

  • Along with the evolution of wireless internet environment, information services in mobile internet are being explosively increased. However, due to the high expense for the use of those services, it is not easy to collect the devoted customers. In order to overcome the adverse conditions, the service should be supported by a strategic application system which facilitates easier and fast service for customer's information needs than that of traditional on-line internet. In this paper, we investigate the strategy how to provide the information service under the customer satisfaction, and also consider some ways of personalization of information service and information provision in real-time. As a result of the works, we develop a system, MoSA-CRM(Mobile Service Application based on CRM) to support customer-oriented information service. We believe that the MoSA-CRM system can provide some benefits for information providers in mobile e-commerce market such as flexibility in business strategy, systematic customer relationship management, and growth in financial ability.
