  • Recently, with the success of Groupon in the USA using the new business model referred to as social commerce, which is a commercial transaction involving group purchases on social network service (SNS), social commerce business receives much attention. Social commerce is capable of effectively promoting additional purchasing by customers through unprecedented price discounts and limiting the number of purchasers and time allotted for purchases, and is able to achieve promotional effects over and above those of simple product promotion due to customers' voluntary word of mouth. Although social commerce is effective for short-term increase in the sales of products, there are numerous dissenting opinions on whether it can promote repurchasing by customers. In particular, social commerce in Korea focuses only on unprecedented discounted prices and does not have the marketing effect that SNS can produce over and above the sales promotion. The objective of this study is to find the factors that influence the repurchase intention on social commerce and to analyze factors that contribute the social commerce product. For this, this study extracts repurchase intention factors and computes a repurchase probability to assess the influence of factors other than price discount on social commerce customers at the time of repurchasing. In addition, the importance of factors toward sales revenue for each of the social commerce products (e.g., restaurant/café, beauty, tour/leisure, show/exhibition, and fashion/clothes) is estimated by using the computed repurchase probabilities. The repurchase probability through the analysis can be used for development of social commerce business in Korea.

  • This study aims to identify whether shopping malls affect customer satisfaction significantly according to the store image assessment of consumers after their purchases. This comparative study on the store image and satisfaction level according to shopping mall type is supposed to offer useful basic data for developing a niche market while establishing market segmentation strategies for internet fashion shopping malls. As a result of an empirical analysis, it was found that important standards for assessing the store image of internet fashion shopping malls include product and information service, customer service after purchase, atmosphere, convenience and reliability, and all five factors were shown to affect the satisfaction level for all general malls significantly. However, product and information service and convenience were shown not to be significantly influential to the satisfaction level for fashion specialty mall. In addition, customer satisfaction was found to affect the customers' intention to repurchase and word of mouth. Therefore, if marketing managers of internet fashion shopping malls elevate customer satisfaction by managing the store image before the customers' purchase, they can attract customers to repurchase intention and ultimately prompt a word of mouth effect.

  • In the current economic downturn, it is easy for consumers to be emotional and regret their fashion product purchases. The purpose of this paper was to understand the effect of customer regret on the dissatisfaction and repurchase intention of fashion consumers in China, which is the world's largest fashion trading country. A total of 275 participants were recruited from a Chinese online survey system (www.sojump.com). The SPSS 22.0 statistical package was used for various data analyses. This study conceptualized the positive relationship between customer regret and dissatisfaction and the negative relationship between dissatisfaction and the repurchase intention of fashion goods. The findings indicated that customer regret could be categorized into two distinct types, chosen and forgone regrets. Chosen regret had a greater effect than forgone regret on dissatisfaction. The negative influence of dissatisfaction on repurchase intention was weak in consumers with a high level of regret-solving effort. The results of this study will help fashion businesses retain their customers, thus gaining long-term and repurchase economic value for the fashion industry.

  • In recent years, as the operations of the ports are privatized, the operators in the ports are competing in order to host more customers. Under such circumferences, it is preferred that the operators set plans to provide the customized services to the customers by precisely recognizing and analyzing the needs of the customers for the bright futures of the ports rather than to host the customers by just lowering the freights. The present studies aimed to analyze on how the service capabilities of the ports affect the customer's trust, the customer's satisfaction and the repurchase intention have extracted the variables and the measurement items from a lot of the preceding studies conducted on the other industries, part of which were modified depending on the views from the ports and the statuses of the ports, so the measurements were conducted.
