Improved Reactive Power Sharing and Harmonic Voltage Compensation in Islanded Microgrids Using Resistive-Capacitive Virtual Impedance

  • Due to the mismatched line impedance among distributed generation units (DGs) and uncontrolled harmonic current, the droop controller has a number of problems such as inaccurate reactive power sharing and voltage distortion at the point of common coupling (PCC). To solve these problems, this paper proposes a resistive-capacitive virtual impedance control method. The proposed control method modifies the DG output impedance at the fundamental and harmonic frequencies to compensate the mismatched line impedance among DGs and to regulate the harmonic current. Finally, reactive power sharing is accurately achieved, and the PCC voltage distortion is compensated. In addition, adaptively controlling the virtual impedance guarantees compensation performance in spite of load changes. The effectiveness of the proposed control method was verified by experimental results.

  • This paper presents a new torque sharing function method that extends the definition region of the conventional TSF to both the positive and negative torque production regions. By using this definition, all kinds of the control inputs that consider switching on/off angle control as well as the current profiling can be described. A parametrized representation of the current profiles is proposed by using a series of B-spline functions, which reduces memory requirement and enables additional controllers. Optimal determination of the TSFs are also investigated for various control objectives. Moreover, the comparison study of each objective is presented. Since this method generalizes all of the possible control input, the current and torque profiles obtained from the optimization are the most suitable control input that satisfy the objectives.

  • A torque control method of a switched reluctance motor for the position control of a tank gun is presented. One of the widely used torque control scheme, torque sharing function method, is investigated and a new torque sharing function method is proposed that extends the definition region of the conventional TSF to both the positive and negative torque production regions.   • This paper presents a new switch-control approach for multiphase interleaved converters. Development of the proposed technique is based on control-signal generation for multi-unit synchronization. Current sharing among the switching cells and voltage regulation are achieved by means of a multi-loop control scheme regardless of changes in input voltage and load. System stability is ensured by single-pole compensation. This proposed technique is straightforward, reliable and inexpensive, and can be applied to any higher number of cells without difficulty.

  • Recently, a lot of domestic construction companies have implemented Knowledge Management System. However, most of the knowledge in the construction fields still cannot written down on papers, and it is just locked in people's heads. The purpose of this study was to analyze the current situation of knowledge sharing in the construction fields. For this research, questionnaires were distributed and the results of this study was as follows; the essential factor of successful knowledge sharing is not introducing a high quality of electronic system but developing culture of knowledge sharing. When positive culture of knowledge sharing is combined with technical infrastructure, knowledge sharing will be actively promoted.

  • 본 연구는 공유와 연결이라는 4차 산업혁명의 핵심적인 가치를 구현하고 있는 신규 사업인 승차 공유경제 산업의 현황과 경제·산업적, 법률적 쟁점에 관해 논의하고자 했다. 대립하고 있는 두 집단 간의 입장을 이해하고자 공유 경제의 산업적 쟁점 및 법률적 쟁점에 대한 국내외 사례에 관한 문헌 조사를 통해 연구를 진행했다. 연구 결과 승차공유 산업은 생산, 공급, 분배, 소비가 하나의 플랫폼에서 이루어지는 종합경제의 면모를 보였다. 접근이 용이한 모바일 애플리케이션 기술을 통해 이용자에게 가치를 공유하고 새로운 서비스로 종합할 수 있게 만들었다. 택시 산업과 승차공유 산업의 갈등 해결을 위해 본 연구는 승차 공유 기업은 합법적인 서비스 제공을 위해 기여금을 내거나 택시 총량제 방안을 마련하고, 택시업계는 서비스 개선과 새로운 공유 플랫폼 서비스를 선택했던 소비자의 입장에 관한 이해가 필요할 것임을 제안한다. 본 연구는 공익과 사익 간의 균형 문제와 법적 안정성 문제에 관한 종합적인 분석 및 정책을 제안했다는 점에서 큰 의의가 있다.

연속 주조 공정에서 평균 토크전류 추종에 의한 인발력 분배 제어 (Load Sharing Control by Following Average Torque Current in Continuous Casting)

  • 연속 주조 공정에서 설정한 속도로 주편을 인발하는 스트랜드 구동롤에 인발력이 적절하게 분배가 되지 않으면 주형 레벨의 주기적인 변동을 유발시킴과 동시에 주편의 품질을 저하하게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 주편의 속도를 제어함과 동시에 각 구동롤에 운전자가 원하는 비율로 인발력을 분배할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 전동기에 작용하는 토크 전류를 상위 제어기로 귀환하여 평균 토크 전류를 산출하고 각 구동롤 전동기의 토크 전류와 비교하여 전동기의 속도 기준값을 미소하게 변경함으로써 각 구동롤 전동기의 토크 전류가 평균 토크 전류에 추종하도록 하여 인발력을 분배한다. 그리고 과도상태 개선을 위하여 안티와인더업(anti-wind up) 제어기를 가진 인발력 제어기를 적용하였으며, 제안된 알고리즘의 확인을 위하여 포스코의 시험연주기에 적용하여 우수성을 입증하였다.

  • A novel torque sharing function (TSF) is presented. To improve efficiency and to reduce torque ripple in commutation region, only a phase torque under commutation is regulated to produce a uniform torque. And the torque developed by the other phase remains with the previous state under a current limit of the motor and drive. If the minimum change of a phase torque reference can not satisfy the total reference torque, two-phase changing mode is used. Since a phase torque is constant and the other phase torque is changed at each rotor position, total torque error can be reduced within a phase torque error limit. And the total torque error is dependent on the change of phase torque. To consider non-linear torque characteristics and to suppress a tail current at the end of commutation region, the incoming phase current is changed to torque increasing direction, but the outgoing phase current is changed to torque decreasing direction. So, the torque sharing of the outgoing phase and incoming phase can be smoothly changed with a minimum current cross over. The proposed control scheme is verified by some computer simulations and experimental results.

A Harmonic Circulation Current Reduction Method for Parallel Operation of UPS with a Three-Phase PWM Inverter

  • In a parallel operation of UPS, there are two types of circulating currents between UPS. One is the low order circulating current with a fundamental frequency caused by the amplitude and phase differences of UPS output voltages, and the other is the harmonic circulating current with PWM switching frequency caused by non-synchronized PWM waveforms among UPS. The elimination of the low order circulating current is essential for optimal load sharing in parallel operations of UPS, which can be accomplished by the phase and magnitude control at each UPS. The harmonic circulating current may cause troubles and deteriorate in performance of the controller for optimal load sharing in parallel operation of UPS. This paper presents a PWM synchronizing method to eliminate the harmonic circulation current in parallel operation of UPS. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme has been investigated and verified through experiments by a 50kVA UPS.
