PMLSM의 개선된 초기 자극위치 추정방법 (Advanced Method for an Initial Pole Position Estimation of a PMLSM)

  • This paper presents an advanced method for an initial pole position estimation of a PMLSM (Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor) that has an incremental encoder for servo applications but does not have Hall sensors as a magnetic pole sensor. The proposed algorithm finds either of two zero force positions and then the correct d-axis by appropriately using the secant method as a numerical method. It only requires the tuned current controller and the relative position information and so it can be simply applicable to a rotary PMSM. The experimental results show the validity of the proposed method with respect to accurate pole position estimation under the minimal moving distance during estimation process.

  • Recently, polymer insulator and bushing that are used for high voltage application have some advantages such as light weight, small size, vandalism resistance, hydrophobicity and easy making process. The pole mount transformer installed in distribution system is acting direct role in supply of electric power and the electric power device should drive safely for long tenn. In this paper, the polymer bushing of pole transformer is designed adaptively to current assembly method, designed bushing is manufactured on basis of that result. The electric field of designed transformer is investigated by FEM program.

  • When the magnetic levitation system(MAGLEV) initially rise, The MAGLEV has a weak point that is very large variation of the electric current. In this paper, The author applied the multi-loop-control to stably control the magnetic levitation system(MAGLEV). The gains of the control algorithm were selected based on pole locations formulated from a prototype Bessel transfer function model. The design incorporate tradeoffs in DC-to-DC converter hard-ware para-meters and pole locations. In order to confirm the superiority of the proposed pole selection and controller, MATLAB simulation and experiment results are presented.

  • This paper describes the efficient design, analysis method and experimental verification of capacitor discharge impulse magnetizer system. A capacitor discharge magnetizer system is used to produce a high current impulse of short duration in this magnetizing fixture. The parasitic resistance and parasitic inductance of the capacitor discharge impulse magnetizer system have been estimated using known air-core test coil. Finite element analysis (using MAXWELL 2-D field simulator) and magnetizing circuit analysis (using SPICE) are also used as part of the design and analysis process of the capacitor discharge impulse magnetizer system. Application study for a magnetizing fixture design is shown. 8-pole magnetizing fixture has been designed and analyzed using finite element analysis. The fixture design for 8-pole magnet are presented along with the experimental results. The experimental results have been achieved using a high-voltage, high-energy capacitor discharge impulse magnetizer and 8-pole iron core fixtures (charging voltage : 2000[V], capacitor bank : 4000[$\mu\textrm{F}$]).

A Four Pole, Double Plane, Permanent Magnet Biased Homopolar Magnetic Bearing with Fault-Tolerant Capability

  • This paper develops the theory for a novel fault-tolerant, permanent magnet biased, 4-active-pole, double plane, homopolar magnetic bearing. The Lagrange Multiplier optimization with equality constraints is utilized to calculate the optimal distribution matrices for the failed bearing. If any of the 4 coils fail, the remaining three coil currents change via a novel distribution matrix such that the same opposing pole, C-core type, control fluxes as those of the un-failed bearing are produced. Magnetic flux coupling in the magnetic bearing core and the optimal current distribution helps to produce the same c-core fluxes as those of unfailed bearing even if one coil suddenly fails. Thus the magnetic forces and the load capacity of the bearing remain invariant throughout the failure event. It is shown that the control fluxes to each active pole planes are successfully isolated. A numerical example is provided to illustrate the new theory.

Z축 선형 영구자석 동기전동기의 초기 자극위치 추정 알고리즘 (Initial Pole Position Estimation Algorithm of a Z-Axis PMLSM)

  • 본 논문에서는 홀센서와 같은 자극위치 센서를 사용하지 않는 Z축 선형 영구자석 동기전동기의 초기 자극위치 추정에 관한 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 Z축의 경우에 존재하는 중력에 의한 자체하중의 영향을 고려하고, 부하질량 변동에 따른 추정특성 변화를 회피하기 위한 방법을 제시하며, 2단계로 구성되어 있다. 1단계에서는 미리 정한 각도 간격의 시험 q축에 전류를 인가하여 구한 이동거리를 사용하여 근사적인 q축을 추정한다. 2단계에서는 1단계의 추정치를 초기치로 이용하며, 부하질량의 영향을 받지 않도록 하기 위하여 3개의 시험 q축에 인가한 전류에 따른 추력에 대응하는 값을 이용하여 자극위치를 정밀하게 추정한다. 그리고 Z축 PMLSM에 대한 실험 결과를 통하여 제안된 초기 자극위치 추정방법으로 부하질량 조건에 관계없이 정밀하게 자극위치를 추정함을 검증하였다.

전자석을 이용한 와전류 제동기의 제동 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the characteristics of eddy current braking torque with electromagnet exciting)

  • The technical improvement of servo system, it is required to study on robust control method in company. It needs to study on brake system that has constant torque-speed performance as load variation. In this paper, braking torque characteristics of eddy current braker between electromagnet stator and rotating disk are analyzed. The torque-speed characteristics and proper disk construction are presented. From the computer simulation results, it was found that eddy current braking torque is linear or approximately constant over the desired speed range depending on the rotor material, disk construction, pole number and pole displacement of stator. The relationship of these parameters are confirmed by experimental result.

  • A Mise-$\grave{a}$-la-masse method is to use a subsurface conductive mass itself as one current electrode of a pair by connecting it directly to one pole of a voltage source, the second current electrode being placed on the ground surface at a great distance and connected to the other pole. This paper is to study the modified Mise-$\grave{a}$-la-masse method using a water tank, that is, the second current electrode is placed on the underground level instead of being placed at a great distance, to find the geometry and the continuity of ore bodies.

  • In this paper, novel unidirectional auxiliary resonant commutated pole is proposed to improve the performance of zero-voltage soft-switching inverter. The proposed circuit keeps the advantages of the original soft-switching inverter, while providing more effective resetting capability in magnetizing current. Based on the advanced reset mechanism, auxiliary switches operate under a complete zero-current condition. The operating principle and steady-state analysis are presented theoretically, according to its operating modes. Accordingly, it proves the fact that the proposed unidirectional auxiliary resonant commutated pole breaks an unwanted magnetizing current loop effectively. The performance of the proposed circuit is verified by several simulation results.
