  • A survey of fungal diversity in Gyeongsang Province, Korea, revealed two previously unreported Aspergillus isolates, named KMG411 and KMG412. The phylogeny of the isolates was analyzed based on β-tubulin (BenA) and calmodulin (CaM) sequencing. Morphological analyses further identified the KMG411 and KMG412 as A. insuetus and A. nomius, respectively. Here we provide detailed morphological descriptions of the previously unrecorded Aspergillus species.

Second, Chanel expressed balanced beauty of compounded eclecticism by accord between simplicity and ornamentation, which meant her design showed impartial beauty with simple silhouette, decoration with colors, accessories, and ornaments. Third, Chanel did not divide the value between men and women, and instead expressed androgyny through dismantling each gender's characteristics by borrowing or mixing. As a result, she emphasized the female image or created a new style through expressing symbolic image embracing masculinity.

  • The purpose of this study was, as an experimental one, to suggest concrete ways to use computer in fashion design from information collection to design completion, and to present a real example based on the suggested ways. The first step to attain the purpose was gathering various sorts of worldwide fashion design information on the Internet, and then the collected data were inserted in a graphic file. Next, two methods of fashion design that use computer graphics were recommended : one was to produce fashion design just by altering some of the inputted Internet fashion materials, and the other was to do it after selected basic materials were put in database. Those methods could enable one to do fashion design just with rearrangement and smallest change of the prepared basic materials, without drawing directly, and at the same time, they could minimize time and efforts required for computer fashion design.

  • This study aims to analyze the hair styles featured in the collections from S/S season of 1995 to F/W season of 2004 both qualitatively and quantitatively by using content-analytical methods. This study was able to form a classifying system that divides hair styles into those artificial and those natural through systematic and scientific research. The resulting system, in turn, broadened the basis for understanding modern fashion and hair style expressions. In addition, by analyzing design-related characteristics, certain expressive techniques employed, and trends in detail, this study contributed to establishing the hair styles, which form part of socio-cultural phenomena, as an academic subject.
