The effect of Organizational Culture on Organizational Justice and Job Performance

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between organizational culture (innovation culture, relationship culture, hierarchy culture, task culture) as perceived by organizational members and its impact on organizational justice and job performance. This contributes to providing additional data for the revitalization and development of the organizational system for efficient management and operation measures included in the organization's sustainable management. To this end, the hypothesis established through the traditional process of quantitative research was tested as follows. First, organizational culture showed a positive effect on organizational justice. Second, organizational culture had a positive (+) effect on job performance. Third, organizational justice was significantly analyzed in terms of job performance. In other words, the importance of systematic re-establishment and continuous implementation of organizational culture (innovation culture, relationship culture, hierarchy culture, task culture) and organizational justice consistent with organizational characteristics was emphasized in order to improve job performance, which is the result of organizational competitiveness. In addition, it is the aspect of drawing practical implications for strategic human resource management and human resource development to systematically improve it.

동안(童顔) 열풍의 사회문화적 배경과 골상학적 특징 (A Study on the Sociocultural Backgrounds of the 'Baby Face Fad' and Phrenological Characteristics)

  • Life expectancy has increased and people are more concerned with keeping their 'youth'. Appearance is a competitive edge and people are caught up in a baby face fad that has expanded into a culture and beauty trend. This study examined the definitions and phrenological characteristics of a baby face and the causes of the baby face fad in a review of the baby face as a "sociocultural and beauty cultural code" based on literature, journals, previous papers, and Internet materials. Anatomically speaking, a "baby face" refers to a face that keeps the features of a child's face without aging signs. The baby face fad gained momentum due to the influences of the digital culture, the encouragement of the mass media, changes to the social structure, dietary improvements, new living styles, and an evolving aesthetic sense. The results reveal the sociocultural backgrounds behind the "baby face fad" settling down as a part of culture in addition to the phrenological characteristics of a baby face. It is also estimated that the baby face fad could affect the beauty culture and trends as a social phenomena.

무궁화 초콜릿의 품질특성 및 항산화활성 (Quality Characteristics and Antioxidant Activity of Chocolate with Mugunghwa (Hibiscus syriacus L.))

  • This study was conducted to determine the mixing conditions for Hibiscus syriacus L. chocolate depending on different addition ratios of Hibiscus syriacus L. and examine functionality in order to use Hibiscus syriacus L., which has excellent functionality and symbolizes Korea. To accomplish this, Hibiscus syriacus L. chocolate was manufactured by adding 0%, 2.5, 5, 7.5, and 10% of Hibiscus syriacus L. powder from the 'Samchulli' (Hibiscus syriacus 'Samchulli', which has reddish pink flower with red eye spot: SKK 14-2-72) variety to a coverture of white chocolate after which the antioxidant activity and quality characteristics were analyzed. As the amount of Hibiscus syriacus L. powder added to the chocolate increased, the chocolate color became darker, the pH decreased, and the sugar content and hardness increased. As a result of the sensory evaluation, the degree of preference increased as the amount of added Hibiscus syriacus L. powder increased to 7.5%. The degree of preference for color and flavor was the highest in the 5% added group, but the overall preference was 7.5% added chocolate. These findings demonstrate that adding Hibiscus syriacus L. powder to chocolate can increase chocolate functionality and preference and that there is a high possibility of Hibiscus syriacus L. chocolate development.

오수처리수의 관개가 벼 생육 및 토양 특성에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Reclaimed Sewage Irrigation on Paddy Rice Culture and Soil Characteristics)

  • Effect of reclaimed sewage on the paddy rice culture was examined by field experiment for two consecutive years. The domestic sewage was treated by the constructed wetland and the effluent of the treatment wetland was used for irrigation water. The reclaimed sewage was diluted before irrigation in the first year and it was used without dilution in the second year experiment. Growth components and yields were compared against the control plot where conventional method was applied. And also soil characteristics of the plots before and after reclaimed sewage irrigation were analyzed Generally addition of the reclaimed sewage irrigation didn't affect paddy rice culture adversely and even enhancement was observed. Fertilization was thought to be important factor for rice culture rather than irrigation water quality. Conventional fertilization and reclaimed sewage irrigation which contained high nutrient concentration resulted in better growth and more yield. Unlike widespread concern lodging did not happen even in the case of irrigation with average 90mg/L of T-N and conventional fertilization. Soil characteristics changed after irrigation and significant EC increasing was observed for the reclaimed sewage irrigation plots. From soil analyses salt accumulation could be a more potential problem than nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus in the use of reclaimed sewage irrigation. Overall reclaimed sewage irrigation was thought to be one of practical alternatives for the ultimate disposal of sewage in rural area.
