리더의 스타일에 표현된 패션 폴리틱스 현상이 대중문화에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Popular Culture in the Fashion Politics Phenomenon of Leader)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of popular culture in fashion politics phenomenon of leader. As study methods the literature study concerning fashion phenomenon and nature of popular culture were used for theoretical background and visual data from magazine, news paper, and internet were used for exploratory study. The results of this study are as follows. First, fashion politics phenomenon of leader in fashion merchandising through the marketing strategy is characterized as commercial profit. These characteristics enable the fashion industry and popular culture affect the formation to provide opportunity. Second, the fashion politics phenomenon of leader projected through mass media are the fashion icons and strong role models that are copied by consumers, conformity the popular, set a powerful fashion trend. The conformity by the mechanism of the interaction of the public will contribute to the formation of popular culture. Third, Semotics symbolism expressed in the fashion politics phenomenon of the leader, the intended message is communicated to the public by creating a positive image. Positive image of the leader of the public support and acceptance is the power to create.

냉전시대와 미국의 푸드시스템: 전후 미국의 문화, 젠더, 소비주의 (Cold War and the US Food System: Culture, Gender, and Consumerism in Postwar America)

  • This essay investigates how the industrialization of the US food system was closely linked to US foreign policy, gender issues, and the rise of consumerism in the Cold War era. While many scholars in American studies and women's studies over the past few decades have paid increasing attention to the interrelationship of gender politics and the media industry in shaping US domesticity, they have seldom studied how and why reading gender issues in relation to environmental discourse in general and the industrialized US food system in particular can help us better understand the complex relationship between environmental and social problems that we are facing today, both collectively and individually. In this context, this essay shows how US national politics have not only created the ideal of American domesticity that promotes traditional gender roles and consumerism at the expense of gender equality, but also negatively affected women's somatic and mental health writ large. By closely examining the cultural implications of Nixon's and Khrushchev's Kitchen Debate in the 1950s alongside newspapers, photographs, advertisements, and Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar (1963), I argue that reading Cold War consumer culture in relation to the US food system leads readers to see the invisible links between gender politics and today's environmental and social problems in comparative and global contexts.

여성 정치인 이미지 전략으로서의 패션 활용 (Utilization of fashion as the image strategy of female politicians)

  • As mass media has come to intervene with politics in a more proactive way during modern times, the image of a politician has evolved into a more relevant factor compared with political content. This phenomenon is known as "image politics", and such externalized images as non-verbal cues have grown in importance, along with the numbers of female politicians. Thus image strategy has been instituted as a major research theme in the field of political marketing, especially for female politicians. In accordance with this theme, this study aims to approach fashion as part of image strategy of female politicians, in order to reemphasize political fashion as a valuable resource. The methodologies employed in this study are based on both the literature and positive research. Female politicians have long utilized fashion styles that are, or are assumed to be, the most appealing to their target base of support in a predominantly male-centered sector. In this sense, appropriate choices in the usage of apparel items, colors, hair styles, accessories, and others according to each situation and respective hierarchies are of the utmost importance. When attending official ceremonies and other related meetings, the strategic superiority afforded to a scientific approach based on thorough fashion research, compared with personal taste is imperative. The significance of this study lies within the recognition of the importance of fashion image, and how to utilize fashion for image strategy in practice, through the investigative synthesis and review of major preceding research.

삼국시대의 견문화의 연구 -고구려와 백제를 중심으로- (A Study of Silk-Culture in the Period of Three-Nation -On point of the relation of Goguryo & Bakje dynasty-)

  • Cloth culture is one of the basic unit of constructing man's culture in a life of human being. One of the fundamental elements to construct cloth culture is the silk-fabric from the ancient time-Sam Han period B.C 2∼4 Korea. This study is to survey the growing aspects of the silk-fabric influence Goguryo & Bakje dynasty. It is an attempt to manifest that how silk-fabric influence through a trade or as means of currency between the two nations at that time. through a trade or as means of currency between the two nations at that time. To certify I use material such as San guo zhi, Hou Han han shu from China Samkuksaki Dong-kuk-tong-gam from Korea and NiHon Shoki from Japen and I concerned the cultural relations of politics economics and socity of the two dynastics so as to prove a relations of politics economics and socity of the two dynastics so as to prove a relative relation between the two. It is reached to the conclusion that silk fabric had been a constituent role at cloth culture at that time of Goguryo & Bakje. It is pointed out that silk-fabric had been an important role to construct the culture of social economic and politic through a trade and as a precious currency.

한국 지명의 문화정치적 연구를 위한 이론의 구성 (A Theoretical Construction for the Cultural-Political Study on the Place Names in Korea)

  • 인간 거주의 오랜 역사와 완충적인 지정학적 위치에 따른 한국 문화의 통시적 역동성과 공시적 다양성은 한국 지명의 이중성과 중층적 다양성에 중요한 배경과 원인이 되어 왔다. 이러한 한국 지명의 변동 과정은 상이한 사회적 주체들이 문화의 의미를 둘러싸고 벌이는 갈등과 경합의 권력 관계를 연구하는 문화정치학 분야에 비교적 적절한 연구 대상으로 주목된다. 한국 지명에 대한 문화정치적 연구의 당위성을 확보하기 위하여, 본 연구는 장소 아이덴티티, 영역 경합, 스케일 정치라는 개념을 중심으로 한국 지명의 문화정치적 연구를 위한 이론의 구성을 시도하였다. 지명은 자연과 사회적 주체를 지칭하며 이들의 아이덴티티를 재현하는 과정을 분석하는데 유용한 이론으로서 안게른과 카스텔스의 아이덴티티 이론, 페쇠의 동일시 이론, 홀의 디코딩 이론, 볼로쉬노프(바흐찐)의 이데올로기적 기호 이론이 사례를 통하여 실험되었다. 사회적 주체의 아이덴티티와 이데올로기를 재현하는 지명을 매개로 장소 아이덴티티 내지는 영역적 아이덴티티가 구축되는 과정에는 필연적으로 포함과 배제의 권력 관계가 개입되어 있다. 이러한 과정을 분석하기 위해서는 아이덴티티, 이데올로기, 권력 관계라는 요소들을 반드시 고려해야하므로, 경계, 영역, 영역성, 영역화, 영역적 아이덴티티 등과 같은 개념을 포용하는 스케일 정치라는 관점을 약간의 사례에 실험적으로 적용해 보았다. 끝으로, 본 연구는 다양한 문화정치이론을 토대로 일정한 범위의 지역을 단위로 하는 기초적이고 학제적인 지명 연구를 통해 지명의 문화정치적 사례가 연구되어야 함을 제안하였다.

대전지역 청소년의 정치의식에 대한 인식조사 (Recognition reseach for politics consciousness of young people in Deajeon)

  • 본 연구는 곧 현실 정치에 참여하게 될 고등학생을 대상으로 우리나라 정치현실에 대한 인식조사를 실시하였다. 청소년들의 우리나라의 정치상황을 평가는 60점 이하가 48.5%, 61점에서 70점 사이가 36.5%로 대체로 좋지 못하다고 인식하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 특히, 정치인의 자질을 평가는 60점 이하가 압도적인 63.1%를 차지해 가장 많았다. 한편, 청소년이 인식하는 우리나라의 정치에서 가장 큰 문제점으로는 정치인이라는 응답이 73.1%로 압도적인 비율을 차지하였다. 앞으로 우리나라 정치가 발전하기 위해서 가장 필요한 것으로는 마찬가지로 정치인의 자질 향상이라는 응답이 64.1%로 가장 많은 비율을 차지하였고, 정치문화의 변화가 11.2%를 차지하였으며, 국가제도의 개선이 9.5%, 유권자 의식 향상이 8%, 정치제도의 개선이 4.1% 등을 차지하여 대체로 정치인의 자질 향상을 가장 필요로 여기고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이밖에도 청소년들의 정치의식 향상을 위해서는 정당견학(26.7%), 정치교육(24.1%), 각종 모의 정치프로그램 운영(21.9%)이 필요하다고 인식하고 있었다.

망가의 초국가적 욕망 -우라사와 나오키의 작품들을 중심으로 (The Transnational Desires in Manga -Focusing on the Works of Naoki Urasawa)

  • 오늘날 한일 대중문화 개방을 통해 실체로서 확인할 수 있는 개별 대중문화물과 문화 교류, 그리고 점증하는 한일 간의 정치적 긴장을 함께 살핌으로써 문화와 정치 사이의 접합 지점을 발견하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 문화와 정치는 개별적으로 분리되기보다는 문화적 정치로 연동되며, 이들이 어떻게 접합되는가에 따라 차이 및 모순의 비교 가능한 다양한 영역들이 구분된다. 이와 같은 전제 하에서 일본 대중문화 속 정치성을 분석하여 한일 간 정치 경색의 문화적 배후를 밝히고자 한다. 본 연구가 집중한 것은 일본 대중문화 속 근대성의 문화적 구현으로, 이를 구체적으로 살피기 위해 일본을 대표하는 망가 작가인 우라사와 나오키의 장편 망가 8편을 분석하였다. 분석은 나오키 작품에 담긴 (1) 무국적성, (2) 서구와 일본, 그리고 아시아의 재현, (3) 과거 일본에 대한 향수와 탈일본적 욕망에 집중되었다. 분석 결과 그의 망가는 일견 인류애와 진보적 가치를 옹호하며 보수 우익의 논리와 거리를 두는 것처럼 보인다. 하지만 역설적으로 아시아를 삭제함으로써 탈아입구, 그리고 근대의 초극과 맥이 닿는다. 이는 서양과 마주한 이래 외양은 변했을지라도 지속되는 일본의 근대성 속에 그의 망가가 위치하고 있음을 보여준다.

탈경계와 이행의 문화정치학 - 미하일 바흐친의 민중-이미지 - (Cultural Politics of Transgredience and Transition : "people-image" in Bakhtinian Thought)

  • This article aims to explain the 'people-image' of Bakhtin's works in the light of "Transgredience" and "Transition." According to Bakhtin, the real core of every culture is the people. But he did try to answer the question "what is the people?" I think, the secret of Bakhtinian thought is located in the people-image, because it is the one of the territories that have not been explained. For this purpose, we have to examine four images represented by Bakhtin, - rogue, clown, fool, thief. These images are the concrete and individualized images of people, who can characterize the power of transgredience and transition. They commonly act for changing ordinary borders of identities formulated with nationality, property, status, classes, sex and so forth. In this sense, Bakhtin thinks that the masks are the real nature which can show the mutational power of Being. That is the kernel of Bakhtin's people-image that makes and changes every cultural world. When we accept and practise this perspective positively, we will realize that Bakhtin's position is close to the cultural politics, because a practical power of thought cannot help but being political. That's why we have to investigate Bakhtin's people-image from a vantage point of "Transgredience" and "Transition."

중국 여대생의 한국에 대한 국가이미지 인지가 한국 패션브랜드 인지도와 구매의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Korean National Image on Chinese Female College Student's Attitude towards Korean Fashion)

  • This study used Chinese female college students as subjects to classify the components of the Korean national image as well as understand the recognition difference of country image factors and Korean fashion images; in addition, it examined the differences of the effect of Korean national image factors on the Korean fashion attitudes of Chinese female college students. A SPSS 18.0 statistic program with factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, paired t-test, multiple regression analysis, frequency analysis and ${\chi}^2$-test was used. The results are: First, it was shown that there are six factors: culture-society, economy, products, sports, politics, and technology. Second, the recognition difference on the six factors were significantly higher for products, politics, technology, economy, culture-society, and sports, respectively. Third, the difference of Korean fashion images showed that they recognize design uniqueness and diversity to choose styles preferentially. Fourth, the purchase intention was significant in the order of culture-society, products, politics, and sports, and recognition affects culture-society, sports, and products, respectively. Fifth, they prefer THE E-LAND GROUP, Beaucre Merchandising, and The Basic House the most and show a strong purchase intention. The analysis also showed that other various brands that are also recognized. These study results can provide Korean fashion companies with useful implications for marketing.

  • Considering the globalization and the development of regional culture, culture and design become more and more closely connected. It is obvious that every country, based on politics, economy, society, industry, has a different understanding to the design. With the popularity of mobile phone, it has been in close contact with our lives. Mobile phone is changing our way of life, it also has become a culture, and is reflected in a period in different countries and different ethnic's cultural traditions and lifestyle. In this paper, the study is about the impact of culture on mobile telephone design and application, especially for appearance and input for mobile telephone.
