Pilots and navigators have through history used everything available to support them in the execution of their task. From the simple sounding means (for instance a stick or a line with a heavy object tied to it) to the advanced electronic support systems that are available today. This means that apart from the more traditional side of his set of tasks the influence of modern technology is felt. In general it concerns such diverse and complex subjects that it requires the pilot to remain up to date with regard to the most modern techniques. In a sense this also concurs with the change form a provider of (local) knowledge to that of a manager of a high risk operation. More information flows can reach the pilot on the place where he executes his profession. With marginal scope the pilot has to translate such information to the situation in which he finds himself in order to give a balanced advice. Knowledge of the surroundings, variable circumstances in his specific area but also language and culture play a crucial role. This paper touches on the history of pilot support systems and examines the developments of pilot support systems in the present day operating environment and addresses the implications. These range from the historic basic needs for pilot information to the present and future possibilities, supporting the pilot to make the most precise assessment at each operational stage to continually execute a safe journey in and out of port.
This study was carried out to improve a technique of cloned animal prodcution by preactivation of nuclear recipient oocytes with ionomycin and 6-dimethylaminopurine (6-DMAP) in rabbits. The oocytes were collected from the oviduct of superovulated rabbit at 19∼20 hours post hCG injection. The collected oocytes were preactivated and self-enucleated by treating 5 uM ionoycin for 5 min, and 2.0 mM 6-DMAP for two hours. Microsurgical removel of the chromation complex in the second polar bodies was effectively performd and single blastomere separated from 32-cell stage rabbit embryos was injected into the perivitelline space of the enculeated recipient oocyts. Follwoing electrofusion and in vitro culture for 18 hours, the nuclear transplant(NT) embryos were transferred into the uterine horns of naturally mated or synchronized recipient does. When 32 NT embryous reconstituted with preactivated oocytes were transferred to 2 recipient does, one foster doe delivered two offspring (6.3%), while not a offspring was delivered from three foster does which received 17 NT embryos reconstituted with non-preactivated oocytes. A total of 68 NT embryos reconstituted with preactivated oocytes were transferred into the uterine horns of 7 synchronized ecipient does. Among them, two recipients were pregnant and delivered three offspring(5.9%).
Cheese flavor is derived from three main pathways, that are proteolysis, lipolysis and glycolysis, the extent of which varies according to the cheese variety. Proteolysis is the most complex of the three primary events during cheese ripening. The basis of EMC technology is the use of specific enzymes acting at optimum conditions to produce required cheese flavors from suitable substrates. These enzymes consist of proteinases, peptidases, lipases, esterases. The key factors in EMC production are the type of cheese flavor required, the type and specificity of enzyme or cultures used, their concentration and some processing parameters, such as pH, temperature, agitation, aeration, and incubation time. The emulsifiers, bacteriocins, flavor compounds, and precursors also effect to it importantly. The dosage of enzyme or starter culture used is dependent on the intensity of flavor required, processing time and temperature and the quality of the initial substrate. To produce a consistent EMC product it is necessary to have a highly controlled process, and a detailed knowledge of the enzymatic reactions under the conditions used must be fully understood.
The costal area where takes up over 32% in domestic teritory is considered as very importantly because it has not only economic facilities such as harbor and an industrial complex but also recreation facilities. Moreover, the tidal flat area has been used as culture ponds and salt farms because this area is occupied by various oceanic species. Also, the tidal flat area has played an important role to purify ocean pollution and maintain an ecosystem. However, the costal ecosystem has seriously threatened by domestic reclamation projects and a large-scale tide embankment during recent 10 years in Korea. This serious problem results in loosing 34%(810$km^2$) of the entire domestic costal area. In this paper, the micro-landform in the tidal flat area, which is called as Garolim bay in Korea, is classified by using Landsat TM images also verified through a filed report. Through the result of this, the tidal flat area is expected to manage efficiently especially through analyzing sediment environment and characteristic of grain size by using satellite images.

A morphologically distinct lineage within the Bostrychia moritziana-B. radicans species complex is described as a new species. Bostrychia anomala has thalli with branched monosiphonous filaments with apical cell divisions. The species has terminal tetrasporangial stichidia, each subtending cell bearing tetrasporangia with 2 cover cells. Discharged spores divide transversely, the lower cell first forming a narrow rhizoid and the upper cell forming a monosiphonous shoot. Females have subterminal procarps and males have terminal spermatangial stichidia. Carposporophytes are spherical. Isolates in culture show a pattern of cell death not associated with injury, reminiscent of programmed cell death. Bostrychia anomola shows cell death at intervals along the filaments resulting in division of adjacent cells on either side of the dead cell re-joining the filament; cell division of only one adjacent cell resulting in branching at that site; or filaments fragmenting at the cell death point with adjacent cells forming new apical cells, a means of thallus propagation. The cell death pattern could be a method of filament propagation in the mangrove environment where sexual reproduction is rare.

The purpose of this study is to find how the preferred properties of potential users for the outdoor space of the multi-family housing complex had changed according to time differance and to select the target market through market segmentation. The study has identified that the most important property among four properties had been changed from a Communication to a Amenity according to time difference. This is shown that considering information and communication as an important properties had been changed to regarding leisure and culture facilities as valuable properties.
For a long period, vowel reduction has been accepted as one of the most common pronunciation rules in Russian phonology. However, since the rules have been modified in many ways after the influx of loanwords, [a, e, i, o, u, ${\star}$]-including [e, o]-can now be pronounced in unstressed position, obeying the rule of vowel reduction. Especially in Modern Russian, along with the destruction of the consonant pronunciation norm due to some relatively complex changes it underwent palatalization, consonant pronunciation has been simplified, and as a response to such a phenomenon, the specialization of vowel pronunciation rule is now occurring. In other words, in the interrelation between consonants and vowels, as the pronunciation rules for consonants are simplified and thus the contrast between consonants is weakened, the degree of dependence on pronunciation of segment in the vowel pronunciation rule has been elevated. Therefore, the analysis says that the degree of vowel reduction depends on a vowel's distance from a stressed syllable is not enough; the influence of surrounding phonemes-including consonants-or the formative characteristics of words themselves should also be considered. The introduction of Max-noncorner/UnderLex, a/an Licence constraint that is related to non-declension nouns, and that of IdentC[back] and ShareCV[back], which are faithfulness constraint and share constraint respectively that are related to the nature of consonants stresses that vowel pronunciation rules should not be simply viewed as rules for vowels; The rules should be analyzed with emphasis on their correlation with surrounding phonemes.
This paper deals with the question of the origin of polo. Although it is a sport that has been mainly active in the West since the nineteenthcentury, it is well known that British troops in the northern part of Pakistan learned about the sport from the local people there. Most agree that the origin of polo is Iran. However, in this paper, rather than specifying a specific area as the birthplace of polo, it is argued that polo was a cultural phenomenon commonly found on the Silk Road. This is based on the fact that polo has been known for centuries in China, the Korean Peninsula, and Japan, as well as throughout Iran, northern India, Tibet, Central Asia, and the Uighur Autonomous Region. Yet, the transmission of polo cannot be traced chronologically according to the supposed propagation route. This cultural phenomenon has changed over a long period of time according to the local environment, and the change was caused by mutual exchanges, not by one party. Therefore, there are limitations to interpreting cultural phenomena linearly. Thus, the origin of polo could also be identified with another area, namely Baltistan in modern day Pakistan, instead of Iran. These results support the argument that to understand Silk Road civilization, a process-centric approach based on 'exchanges', not a method of exploring archetypes to find 'the place of origin', should be utilized. Polo is undoubtedly an important cultural artifact with which to read the Silk Road as a cultural belt complex, as well as an example of the common culture created by the whole Silk Road.
'Special Records' means the records created by the government power authorities like security, investigation, intelligence agencies. Even after the enactment of the Public Records Act, these kinds of records were out of the control of the National Archives of Korea. The reason was certainly complex including the loss of control power caused by the National Archives' low status, limitation of the legislation and lack of positive measures for the transfer of classified records. But core records of the government power authorities should be transferred to the National Archives for the righteous records culture in the democracy. This paper investigates the problems concerned with the transfer of classified records of the special records center, looking for a practical alternative.
One noticeable thing about the recently opened 'Starfield Hanam' and 'Hyundai Department Store (Pangyo)' is consumer's interest and positive response to their hosted food brands ranging from restaurants, dessert cafes and coffee shops. Department store and shopping complex, so-called aggregation of lifestyle are making the most out of food brands as a differentiation strategy and consumer's interest on it act as a barometer for current consumption trend. Along with the high interest on food market, changes in lifestyle, such as increasing ratio of two or less households, advent of multiple communication channels as SNS, deluge of information and gradually developing individualism, are creating needs for convenient but high quality eating culture. This need contributed in transforming the product family which was once famous as 'Instant Food' into a 'Home Meal Replacement (HMR)'. Since local food companies are striving to keep pace with the trend and actively penetrating HMR market, regardless of long-term recession, the Korean domestic food market is steadily growing with a bright future.
