This study is focused on looking into the essence and application in the modem history of 'Martial Art Culture' that is a representative cultural code in the East Asia. Doubting and reconstructing the paradigm of the past and present, Postmodernism in the 21st century has defined marital arts as a new cultural phenomenon. This study begins by doubting whether the essence of martial arts was a cultural conduct to train both bodies and spirits. Practically used as a fighting skill since the primitive age, martial arts has fallen into sports or cultural behaviors due to the invention of the state-of-the-art modern weapons. However modern people misunderstand that martial arts of East Asia is originated a kind of cultural behaviors. It implies there is a fundamental mistake in the wat Western civilization evaluates the orientalism. This study analyzes this mistake through access method based on realities of modern history. This trial will contribute to expanding the thinking range, inquiring into varied cultural phenomena including martial arts which are misunderstood in modern history.
This article focuses on analysing and interpreting cultural imperialism issues that have long been debated. One of issues among them is related to the characteristics of international cultural fluid. What had been debated is that cultural imperialism has been ended or not and the debates were connected to the so called 'reverse cultural imperialism'. The other issue is about this fluid is the continuation of globalization or a part of localization and this is related to the phenomena of cultural homogenization or hybrid. General trend was that simplistic cultural imperialism which had been occurred during the 1970s and 1980s was no longer effective but global dominance by transnational global media is still strong and worldwide. Therefore my research interest is centered on how they look international cultural exchanges with regard to cultural imperialism. And is the framework of cultural imperialism thesis still effective tool in researching and analysing international cultural flows? How do we look globalization relating to international exchanges? Is globalization an another aspect of imperialism? In conclusion, international cultural fluid is not so simple. Like natural phenomena or human progress, a phenomenon is not consisted of a single factor or relation. Cultural fluid is a complex one mixed with various phenomena and relations. This is related to internal and external contradictions, internal and external dynamics of a society and nation, and social and cultural life of human beings. Recent research results show that globalization and localization are closely related to many country's programming schedule, and particular cultural interpretation of specific programmes and culture are adopted to the country's culture and patterns. Cultural fluid has both-sides. One the hand it has useful and positive sides and on the other hand it has harmful and negative aspects. Imperialistic factor, globalization, cultural homogenization or hybrid are all operated and functioned together in cultual fluid. It is difficult to say that cultural imperialism thesis has been ended because American and global media's dominance is still effective. What needed at this time for us is a complex and dynamic analysis of international cultural fluid instead of simplistic cultural imperialism.
The purpose of this study is to present the study method in order to analysis the fashion phenomena in ppular culture by popular culture theory. The method of this study is showed the method fo fashion culture, after it was examined that the trends of popular cultural method, the type of Korean popular culture discussion, and the relationship of fashion and popular culture. The results of this study are following as ; 1. Analysis of this study are structuralism stand and culturalism stand, and the application of criticism about the cultural technology in a new stand by means of the composition of Gramscic, A and Foucault. 2. Application of the ethnographic access method as anthroppological approach method about C. Geertz'culture. This si to describe and interpret the practice of subject through directive observation and conduct on a spot, thus is likely to be useful in the fashion study. 3. It needs a historical access method for that purpose, If it applicate Weber's methodology, it will have the use of both meaning interpretation and explanation of cause and effect on the use of both meaning interpretation and explanation of cause and effect on the basis of realistic conditions (historical data), and would appear that the peculiar apportunity of mental (cultural) progressional process became definitive explanation. 4. It must be mad up of the discussion (which is) based on the durability of tradition and culture. It is undeniable that the discussion, which related to popular culture up to the present, showed the disconnectedness of the past tradition and culture, and naturally accepts it's connection to epistemology. The cultural study is a theory interested in what it brings about, what way it's organized and what way it's used. The research of the fashion's connection to popular culture is composed of such topic ; how fashion is produces, how it is consumed, and then, the proposition which is concerned in what meaning it produce is made up of. The regulation of the realm of this research will be to help a researcher explain where to begin and how to do it. Although this cultural study method is more or less quantitative, or despite the expense of the accuracy of statistical analysis, this means that such method of cultural research needs to give attention to both aspects of phenomena and basic problems.
In modern times, pluralistic social phenomena in which various values are pursed and recognized appear. The modern society called hyper-connected, intelligence information and zero marginal cost society in which shared value is commonly emphasized faces a paradigm shift to shared society system. In particular, sharing-based activities related with intelligence information sectors more prominently emerge in the high-tech informatization which has been accelerated. The purpose of this study is to understand design factors related with how attribution of the sharing culture is expressed in library spaces and examine how sharing infrastructure is established in users' spaces. As a research method, it initially conducted theoretical consideration of the sharing culture and information spaces, which can be regarded as sociocultural phenomena in modern times. Then, it drew sharing culture-based spatial design factors-access, openness and plurality. It analyzed configuration of spaces for sharing information-Cultural Commons (CC), Information Commons(IC) and Learning Commons (LC) - and infrastructure of information spaces, for library cases-five domestic and foreign public libraries-. The findings show that modern library spaces reflect historical needs for the sharing culture and actively serve their roles through spatial infrastructure including contents (programs) and services for sharing knowledge. The study is determined to be valuable as basic data in establishing the infrastructure of information spaces reflecting modern social trends and cultural phenomena, in expecting spatial structures in which knowledge is reproduced and planning spaces of libraries in the future.

Fashion in modern society reflects contemporary times as well as plays an important role in understanding the relationship with various objects and socio-cultural phenomena. Fashion is also based on the idea that is accepted as suitable under contemporary judgement that forms an aesthetic notion of beauty and creates infinite ideal and fantasy. There is a need to see fashion from a broad approach within the socio-cultural concept. Fashion Thinking, based on diversified research on social roles and fashion value has been widely used in other industrial fields; consequently, this study examines phenomena that appears in the automobile industry. This study helps reveal the implied influence of Fashion Thinking toward other industries and socio-cultural aspects, by deriving characteristics and value of Fashion Thinking through an analysis of the applied cases of Fashion Thinking in the automobile industry. The result of this study has a practical meaning that lays the foundation for understanding Fashion Thinking for innovative creative management and utilizing it effectively in other industrial fields such as the automobile industry.
The definition of convergence employed in this study is a sociocultural phenomenon where different patterns, genres or fields coexist along with the existence of a knowledge based society. The focus of this study was centered on identifying the characteristics of contemporary fashion paradigm in association with changing cultural convergence according to the theories of Mark Weiser and other futurologists. The purpose of this study was to delve into the features of this paradigm in conjunction with changing cultural convergence in 21st century's knowledge-based society, and the influence of convergence paradigm on fashion. After identifying the features of knowledge-based society paradigm in association with changing cultural convergence, the characteristics of the fashion paradigm in order to ascertain and analyze fashion trends. Conclusions based on analyzed data indicate that in a knowledge-based society, paradigm change resulting from convergence phenomena contributes to facilitating the dissolution of fashion from other fields and its fusion with other areas.
This study is based on the periodical discourse of women and their costumes, described in modern novels that were published from late 1890s to the 1930s. New cultural phenomena emerged among Korean women in the period of modernization. In particular, rapid increase of jobs for women and preference for western female body shape are very noticeable phenomena that can be observed in novels of the 1930s. In addition, the symbolic meanings of female costumes are variously described in modern novels according to the periodical and spatial environment and jobs for women. The symbolic meanings are organized as 'Trophysm, Expression of sexuality, Liberation from male-dominated society, Symbolic difference between rural and urban areas, Vanity, Decadence, Mechanism tending to hide and Change of values'. And women's costumes kept changing in the boundary of 'Confliction, Coexistence and Harmonization' of traditional and western costumes. 'Confliction' phenomenon got emerged in novels published between 1900 and 1910. The resistance on traditional costumes that restricted woman's life got spread. But western female costumes as a symbol of new culture could not be generalized but accepted as high fashion. 'Coexistence' phenomenon was appeared in novels of the 1920s. At that time, the modernization for traditional costumes by female students was emerged along with trendy fashion. Also, the frequency of using western fashion items was increased in the Korean society. Therefore, it shows that western costumes in the Korean society became popularized in the coexistence with traditional costumes. 'Harmonization' phenomenon was emerged in novels of the 1930s. In the novels, the emergence of western female costumes, personal preference items, and westernized hair style implies that western costumes were absorbed into the Korean society that had kept traditional costumes.
Stone-cultural-properties, distributed In the area, have been investigated and studied on the characteristics and the rock phases in the geological and conservational point of view. Stone-Buddhas in the area can be subdivided into Maebul-, General -, and Massive rock-types according to their styles. The rocks used in these stone-cultural-properties are mainly massive, coarse grained biotite granite of the Jurassic age, which is widely distributed around the Reckon-gun area. However, quartz-feldspathic banded gneiss, marble, phyllite and hornblendite are also used. These rocks are mainly distributed in the Yongin-gun area. This suggests that the rocks used. These rocks are strongly influenced by chemical weathering so that the rock surface is very irregular with $2\~3mm$ relief. Biotite granite used shows generally weathered surface of brown color due to chemical weathering of feldspars. Moss are pervasive partly on the surface to show black and/or green colors. The strong weathering may induce secondarily to appear the igneous lineation, onion-structure, and/or minor cracks latent in the rocks. The cultural properties In the area are relatively well conserved except Maebuls and one(Duchangri 3-story) pagoda. However, one stone-buddha may be grinded recently by machine to take off the weathered surface resulting in the loss of its age and the original detailed shape. For conservation, they must be scientifically considered on the shape, kind of the rock phase and characteristics of the weathered phenomena.
The fundamental goal of this paper is to make a sketch of what trust looks like in Korean culture. To pursue this goal, we have resorted to materials linked to trust whose characteristics are theoretical, conceptual, observational and illustrational. Although a shortage of empirical and systematic data on trust is a big obstacle to profound understanding of trust operating in Korea, we would like to assign some significance to our attempt to conceptualize the concept of trust as it really is in the Maum(mind) of common Koreans. We believe that research paradigm for behavioral science should be cast off in research of mind-related phenomena like trust. A general practice cherished to date in doing psychological research is to pinpoint exclusively its focus on external manifestation of a given concept with no precedent analyses about it in anthropological and cultural-psychological perspectives. We would like to argue that complete understanding of naïve psychology of those phenomena should precede construction of psychological theories about them. That is, knowledge of interpretations, experiences and theories laypersons have in relation to mind-related phenomena has to be underpinnings of further theoretical elaborations about those phenomena.
Desalting methods for chloride ions from the excavated iron objects were studied. These methods were compared with room temperature and heating condition of treating solution. During the Desalting treatments the $Cl^-$concentration of the solution were measured regularly and the plotted for $Cl^-$concentrations the square root of time, heating methods showed that the $Cl^-$ ions are more extracted. For the desalting treatments these plots were found to be flattening line, it was showed the changing second solution. Also, the changing solution in the room temperation detected less $Cl^-$ ions of heating treatment solution. As the examination for the relative humidity has compared for desalting objects during 8 days, it was showed a re-corroded appearance of R.H90%. As it did not detected a $Cl^-$ ions of re-corroded section, these phenomena were showed the naturally occuring corrosion of the objects in the high relative humidity.
