Cultural products reflect a living culture and evolve despite being based on traditional forms only. It is known as traditional cultural expression that portray certain culture groups, materials, spiritual and creativity inspired from their living environment that characterize a society. The old Malay community had a close relationship with their surrounding and environment. Sensitivity towards the nature and surrounding environment moved them into creative people. In designing the local traditional textile, role of the motifs, design and product design play an important element in Malay cultural values. This reflects the symbols and philosophy of the arts and culture and thus becomes the identity of the Malay community, which in general practice their culture and tradition based on Islamic culture and religion. Kelantan and Terengganu are the pioneer states for most producers of Malay traditional textiles. In these states the Pelangi cloths, is one of the unique textiles use and inherited by the Malay communities. Base on history, the Malay rulers and Malay nobility used Pelangi cloth as complementing clothing and ornament in attending various ceremonies and customs in their daily life. In this paper will discuss the specific picture of Pelangi motifs, design and its usage in Malay society in Malay Peninsula through its identification aspect of representations. It shows that this textile represent certain insights of Malay customs and identity.

This work aims at introducing structural sensitivity analysis capabilities into existing commercial finite element software codes for the purpose of mapping retrofit strategies for a broad group of structures including heritage-type buildings. More specifically, the first stage sensitivity analysis is implemented for the standard deterministic environment, followed by stochastic structural sensitivity analysis defined for the probabilistic environment in a subsequent, second phase. It is believed that this new generation of software that will be released by the industrial partner will address the needs of a rapidly developing specialty within the engineering design profession, namely commercial retrofit and rehabilitation activities. In congested urban areas, these activities are carried out in reference to a certain percentage of the contemporary building stock that can no longer be demolished to give room for new construction because of economical, historical or cultural reasons. Furthermore, such analysis tools are becoming essential in reference to a new generation of national codes that spell out in detail how retrofit strategies ought to be implemented. More specifically, our work focuses on identifying the minimum-cost intervention on a given structure undergoing retrofit. Finally, an additional factor that arises in earthquake-prone regions across the world is the random nature of seismic activity that further complicates the task of determining the dynamic overstress that is being induced in the building stock and the additional demands placed on the supporting structural system.

In particular, gas sensors require characteristics such as high speed, sensitivity, and selectivity. In this study, we fabricated a $NO_X$ gas sensor by using a multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)/zinc oxide (ZnO) composite film. The fabricated MWCNT/ZnO gas sensor was then treated by a $450^{\circ}C$ temperature process to increase its detection sensitivity for NOx gas. We compared the detection characteristics of a ZnO film gas sensor, MWCNT film gas sensor, and the MWCNT/ZnO composited film gas sensor with and without the heat-treatment process. The fabricated gas sensors were used to detect $NO_X$ gas at different concentrations. The gas sensor absorbed $NO_X$ gas molecules, exhibiting increased sensitivity. The sensitivity of the gas sensor was increased by increasing the gas concentration. Additionally, while changing the temperature inside the chamber for the MWCNT/ZnO composite film gas sensor, we obtained its sensitivity for detecting $NO_X$ gas. Compared with ZnO, the MWCNT film gas sensor is excellent for detecting $NO_X$ gas. From the experimental results, we confirmed the enhanced gas sensor sensing mechanism. The increased effect by electronic interaction between the MWCNT and ZnO films contributes to the improved sensor performance.

본 연구는 다문화 사회복지 실무자가 다문화적 배경의 클라이언트와 효과적으로 일하기 위해 갖추어야 하는 문화적 역량의 구성개념을 탐색하고 이에 따른 척도를 개발, 타당화하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 먼저, 척도 개발을 위해 외국의 문화적 역량 관련 척도 분석과 다문화 사회복지 실무자 8명을 대상으로 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 실시하여 40개의 예비문항을 구성하였다. 이에 대해 사회복지 전문가 20명에게 2회에 걸친 예비조사 및 전문가회의를 실시하여 최종적으로 32개 예비문항을 확정하였다. 척도의 타당화를 위해 개발된 예비문항을 전국의 다문화 사회복지 실무자 194명을 대상으로 평가하였다. 요인분석을 통해 문화적 역량을 구성하는 요인의 수는 4개가 가장 적절한 것으로 나타났다. 요인 1은 '다문화적 실천기술', 요인 2는 '문화적 인식 및 민감성', 요인 3은 '다문화 지식', 요인 4는 '문화차이 극복노력'으로 명명하였고, 이는 관련 선행연구들 및 척도 개발과정에서 밝힌 문화적 역량의 개념화 논의와 부합되었다. 확인적 요인분석을 한 결과 모형적합도가 우수하였고, 유사 개념 척도 간의 수렴타당도가 적절하게 나타났다. 또한, 4개 요인의 Cronbach's alpha값, 반분신뢰도 및 측정의 표준오차 분석 결과 신뢰도 또한 양호하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 사회복지적 함의를 논하였다.

문화콘텐츠는 지역의 문제점을 개선하고 역사적 가치를 제공한다는 점에서 활용이 증가하고 있다. 더욱이 방문객을 지역으로 유입하고, 지역 상권을 활성화한다는 점에서 관심이 높다. 같은 맥락에서, 문화콘텐츠를 활용한 특화거리 조성은 시민과 소통하고 도시의 문제를 융합하는 역할을 한다. 새로운 공간 조성을 우선하기보다 지역이 가진 근본적인 문제를 해결하고, 단계적으로 접근하는 사업이다. 이에, 문화콘텐츠는 지역민에게 친근하고 공감할 수 있는 집약된 경제적 가치를 창출해야 한다. 이런 측면에서 문화콘텐츠를 활용한 정부와 지자체 사업에 대한 경제적 파급효과를 객관적으로 제시하는 노력은 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 문화콘텐츠의 반영이 얼마만큼의 경제적 파급효과를 보이는지 분석하였다. 연구결과, 문화콘텐츠가 적용된 특화거리는 고용유발 승수, 취업유발 승수, 수입 승수, 세수 승수 관광산업이 서비스업보다 집약적인 사업으로 나타났다. 반대로, 서비스업은 생산유발승수, 소득유발승수, 부가가치유발승수, 관광산업의 전 후방 연쇄효과(영향력 계수, 감응도 계수)가 집약적인 승수로 추론되었다. 이러한 결과는 문화콘텐츠를 접목한 특화거리 조성이 지역의 경제적 시너지효과와 관계함을 제시하는 것이다.

The aspects of contemporary society change have been changed rapidly running for function value on the part of part industrialization and information-oriented. The transfer to the society focused on a human being emphasis and symbol value is in progress rising with natural desire of recurrence of human nature accordingly and desires of a human being inborn of sensitivity-oriented and pluralism-oriented are being expressed. Answering these social and cultural demands, concerns about an arbitrary mind world of a human being and pursuit dispositions about impractical and transcendental world are coincided with to the purpose and so various kinds of expressions except for art sphere are being experimented and applied. Here upon also in the field of the contemporary interior design, answering sensual desire of users, various arts and cultural tendency, the concept of surrealism is being applied in design introducing the concept of surrealism positive. And fantastical and unreasonable expression features of surrealism are being used as subjective essential elements to make new spaces. Especially amoung various kinds of the interiors designs, the features like surrealistic expressions in Food & Beverage Space which proper identity and strong symbolism will be expressed can be recognized as appropriate expression patterns to give still more sensitivity stimuli to customers. Thus this research disclosed conceptual and ideological background of surrealism and also analyzed and studied surrealistic expression features applied to the interiors designs of Contemporary Food & Beverage Space through expression disposition, study and classification of techniques. And standing on the result of analyzing surrealistic expression features of Contemporary Food & Beverage Space with a key word of expression features derived we groped for estatescape trend demanded in Food & Beverage Space and direction coming.

The decrease in the farming rates of agricultural produce importing countries has led to concerns over stable food supply and food safety and this situation demands a change in awareness on agricultural problems arising from the depletion of natural resources and environmental destruction. To preserve agriculture, importing countries are emphasizing the various roles of agriculture in order to revive its multi-functional aspects. It is obvious that differentiated strategies are needed to create values from agricultural production, and a liberal arts education can play an important role in making these strategies. However, training programs for future agricultural CEOs of the Korea National Agricultural College(KNAC) attaches too much importance on production skill and management rather than focusing on a liberal arts education. On the other hand, Poolmoo Ecological Agriculture Course carried out by Poolmoo Agriculture Technical High School located in Hongseong-Gun, Chungnam Province (which puts a high value on ecological fanning) gives more weight on a liberal arts education, taking up more than 50% of the curriculum. Also, the National Farmers Academy in Japan which reformed its whole system in 2008, has started various liberal arts educational programs. The Academy fosters creative agricultural management, attractive rural development enhancing a comfortable rural life and educates on the future of Japanese food and international environment. It is expected that the ecological and cultural roles of farming will grow in the future. So, what the KNAC needs is to increase its liberal arts educational programs and various cultural experiences in its educational curriculum to promote agricultural marketing with cultural knowledge and sensitivity.

Current information-oriented society is expanding rapidly with the huge change to our society from the information revolution emerged in mid '50s. Information technique such as computer, communication satellite and cable technology play their in this information-oriented society, and in 1980s, digital technique was adopted to media, inviting new phenomenon in communication of overall society. Expectations and hope for new trends and changes from digital era flourished when we entered into new Millenium, the 21st century. Since then we have gone through changes in years from analogue to digital. Now the word 'digital' is conceived in unified manner in almost every fields and influences overall society, changing our life pattern rapidly. Modern society had demanded some speedy and bidirectional communication tool in shifting digital era, and resulted from that was a new culture, Now the society changes more and more quickly under the speedy information sharing. From that perspective we need to establish the aspects of sensibility expression, which is one feature of the communication. The sensibility-oriented digital was originated from the human nature, which counts emotion and composure much. To satisfy the human nature a new cultural value which transcend a traditional one is needed. And the sensitivity expression to meet the need is one communication tendency in digital era. Digital era has totally different social qualities from that of analogue era. In digital era, prompt respond to rapid change and creativity combined with sensitivity are needed. Therefore a man with sensitivity would be more outstanding than a man of intelligence. The picture of digital and analogue in our society consists of two axis one is analogue axis like retrospective trend, admiration for nature , oriental thought etc. , and the other is the digital axis of internet and information technology. Sensibility can be widely interpreted as analogue thinking. It is surely different from the plain retrospective trend or nostalgia for past. It is a tendency that digital technology is used and cooperated with the emotion in human nature, In this paper we suggest the sensitivity expressions in detail through the study cases including both sides of digital and sensitivity expressions such as 'Bravo your life' advertising campaign of Samsung Insurance, MP3 advertising campaign, and 'Mini-homepage' of Cyworld. Under the circumstances the main direction of communication is oriented to human. This study's purpose is to think the true meaning of this digital era, to overcoming its weaknesses, such as over-dependency on technique and selfish individualism and to harmonize digital and sensitivity expression. The sensitivity-oriented expression than the reason-oriented one is expected to be put forth in whole media, and this is a more efficient tendency under the shifting digital era.

본 연구는 간호대학생과 비 간호대학생의 문화적 역량과 심리적 안녕감 정도를 탐색하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 본 연구를 위해 S와 I지역의 종합대학 간호대학생 127명과 비 간호대학생 124명, 총 251명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 연구 결과 문화적 역량 정도는 평균 5점 만점에 간호대학생 3.35점, 비 간호대학생 3.23점, 심리적 안녕감 정도는 평균 5점 만점에 간호대학생 3.53점, 비 간호대학생 3.37점으로 나타났으며, 두 군 모두 문화적 역량 및 심리적 안녕감 정도가 '중' 수준 이상으로 나타났으며, 간호대학생이 비 간호대학생보다 유의하게 높았다. 문화적 역량과 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계 분석결과 간호대학생은 문화적 인식, 문화적 지식, 문화적 민감성, 문화적 기술, 문화적 경험, 자아수용성, 환경에 대한 통제, 긍정적 대인관계, 자율성, 삶의 목적, 개인적 성장 모든 항목에서 유의한 정적인 상관관계가 있었다. 따라서 간호대학생의 문화적 역량을 높은 수준으로 유지하도록 정규교육과정에 다문화교과목 편성 및 다문화현장체험, 특강 등 교과외 활동을 병행하여 심리적 안녕감을 가지고 문화적 다양성을 고려한 간호를 제공할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.

The comprehension and structural modeling of masonry constructions is fundamental to safeguard the integrity of built cultural assets and intervene through adequate actions, especially in earthquake-prone regions. Despite the availability of several modeling strategies and modern computing power, modeling masonry remains a great challenge because of still demanding computational efforts, constraints in performing destructive or semi-destructive in-situ tests, and material uncertainties. This paper investigates the shear behavior of masonry walls by applying a plane-stress FE continuum model with the Modified Masonry-like Material (MMLM). Epistemic uncertainty affecting input parameters of the MMLM is considered in a probabilistic framework. After appointing a suitable probability density function to input quantities according to prior engineering knowledge, uncertainties are propagated to outputs relying on gPCE-based surrogate models to considerably speed up the forward problem-solving. The sensitivity of the response to input parameters is evaluated through the computation of Sobol' indices pointing out the parameters more worthy to be further investigated, when dealing with the seismic assessment of masonry buildings. Finally, masonry mechanical properties are calibrated in a probabilistic setting with the Bayesian approach to the inverse problem based on the available measurements obtained from the experimental load-displacement curves provided by shear compression in-situ tests.
