A Study on Establishing an Ecosystem Service Evaluation System in Response to Climate Change Focusing on Garden Value Evaluation Indicators

  • The importance of ecosystem service such as green spaces has risen due to restrictions on outdoor activities amid the climate crisis and COVID-19. While gardens significantly impact economic development, quality of life, and social well-being, comprehensive studies on their multidimensional values are lacking. This research categorizes garden values into social, cultural, environmental, and health dimensions and proposes an integrated assessment framework that introduces detailed elements and evaluation methods. An empirical assessment of carbon storage index in two Korean gardens, Semiwon and Juknokwon, reveals Semiwon's higher carbon storage per unit area. The proposed framework, emphasizing a quantitative approach, enables cross-national and regional comparisons, contributing to a broader understanding and evaluation of garden values beyond specific facilities.

  • Painting, as an artistic creation with aesthetic characteristics, is inseparable from "shape". "Modeling" is a subjective way of expressing objects, and "black shape" is not only a way of expression, but also a way of composition. "Black shape" is a way of expressing the overall picture of the creator, and "black shape" extracted from the pattern analysis of black and white gray structure is a powerful means to deeply explore the emotions and thoughts of the painter. How to create the expression of subjective intention in the creation of artificial figure painting and to explore the beauty of picture form and the presentation of formal language in multiple dimensions is always sought by painters. Tang Dynasty political stability, economic and cultural development of unprecedented prosperity, "Toujian Diu" as a representative painting of Tang Dynasty, the figure is plump and realistic, colorful but elegant. It not only represents the aesthetic taste of the Tang Dynasty, but also reflects the overall style of the Tang Dynasty's artificial figure painting. The aim of this paper is to explore the value of "black shape" in "Toughen Diagram" and analyze its multi-component form in depth.

역사문화거리 빈집의 장소성에 관한 연구 -중국 항저우 중산로를 중심으로- (A Study on the Placeness of Vacant Houses in the Street of Historical Culture - Focused on HangZhou Zhongshan Road -)

  • 도시의 문화유산이 가장 집중된 역사문화거리의 중심가에 비해 주변 거리의 발전은 점차 쇠퇴하는 상황을 보이고 있으며 장소성 역시 상실되고 있다. 이로 인해 많은 빈집이 발생함에 따라 역사문화지구 내 빈집에 대한 관심과 대책이 매우 시급한 상황이다. 본 연구는 중국 항저우 중산로의 빈집을 연구대상으로 삼아 장소성 이론 및 Matthew Carmona의 도시 설계의 6가지(사회적, 지각적, 기능적, 형태적, 시각적, 시간적) 차원을 적용해 이해하고, 항저우 중산로에 있는 다른 빈집의 활용 방향과 근거를 제시하기 위해서 역사문화거리에 있는 빈집의 장소성 평가 요소를 추가로 분석하였다. 연구분석 방법으로는 AHP 계층분석법을 활용하여 각 평가요소(6차원의 12가지)의 중요도를 도출하였으며, 전문가의 평가결과와 사례의 분석결과를 비교분석하였다. 연구성과는 다음과 같다. 역사문화거리의 빈집 활용의 장소성의 평가 결과, 12가지 평가 요소에는 안전성, 동일성, 사용성, 개별성, 심미성, 연계성, 다양성, 개방성, 연속성, 접근성, 질서성, 역사성이 차례대로 고려되어야 한다고 도출되었다.

3D 시각노출도를 이용한 문화재 범죄예방환경의 평가 (The Evaluation of Crime Prevention Environment for Cultural Heritage using the 3D Visual Exposure Index)

  • 문화재의 범죄예방환경에서 중요한 요인 중의 하나인 감시강화는 현장평가와 진단에 어려움이 있다. 이로 인해 감시강화는 문화재 형상, 지형, 수목 등을 디지털로 모델링하여 컴퓨팅 기술로 평가하는 접근이 이루어진다. 본 연구는 입체형상으로 감시강화를 정량적으로 평가할 수 있는 3차원 시각노출도 지표(3DVE, 3D Visual Exposure)를 이용하여 문화재 범죄예방환경의 평가기법을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구를 위해 평가요인을 자연적 감시, 조직적 감시, 기계적 감시 그리고 통합적 감시로 세분하여 분석을 수행하였다. 분석을 위해서 건물, 지형, 담장, 수목 등의 형상을 입체적으로 모델링하였으며, Unity 3D를 이용하여 분석 프로그램을 제작하였다. 사람의 작업영역을 고려하여 머리위치와 허리위치로 구분하여 감시지점을 분석할 수 있도록 하였다. 분석 프로그램으로 3DVE의 활용 가능성을 검증하기 위해 논산에 소재한 돈암서원(사적 제383호)을 디지털로 모델링하여 범죄예방환경을 평가하였다. 연구결과 돈암서원의 자연적 감시, 기계적 감시, 조직적 감시에서 취약지점, 사각지대, 순찰동선의 문제점 등의 발견이 가능하였다. 3DVE 분석결과를 3차원 도면으로 제작함으로써 위치와 대상을 명확하게 표현할 수 있었다. 주간 감시성은 자연적 감시, 기계적 감시, 조직적 감시 순으로 높지만, 야간 감시성은 조직적 감시, 기계적 감시, 자연적 감시 순으로 높게 나타났다. 작업영역의 위치가 낮을수록 차폐되기 용이하므로, 허리위치에 대한 평가가 이루어질 필요가 있는 것으로 파악되었다. CCTV의 제원과 설치 위치, 높이에 따른 감시범위를 산출하게 됨으로써 사각지대의 발견과 표시가 가능하게 되었다. 기계적 감시의 보완효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀진 조직적 감시는 범죄취약 시간대에 분석이 요구된다. 또한 보안등, CCTV, 순찰동선 등의 설정을 검토하는데 통합적 감시도 분석이 효과적일 수 있다. 본 연구는 실제를 시뮬레이션으로 제작하여 범죄예방환경을 진단할 수 있는 성과를 거두었다. 본 연구를 기반으로 범죄예방환경설계의 대안을 평가하고 비교할 수 있는 연구가 수행되어야 한다.

포스트 디지털 세대에 대한 교육목회 유형 (Types of Educational Ministry for The Post Digital Generation)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 기독교교육학의 실천신학적 접근에 대한 연구로서 실천신학적 접근의 유형에 따른 아홉 가지 교육목회 유형을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 사역의 현장으로서 교회, 사회 이외에 개인적 자아의 차원과 사역을 강조하고자 하며, 이미 논의된 철학적이며 신학적 관점에서의 개인적 실존적 차원, 발달심리학적 관점에서의 삶의 주기 신학의 차원 이외에 사회문화적 차원에서 포스트 디지털 시대가 주는 함의에 기초하고자 한다. 포스트 디지털 시대는 디지털의 인간화로 말미암는 친인간적 디지털 문화를 의미하며, 따뜻한 디지털 문화를 특징으로 하는 시대를 말한다. 이와 연관된 세대를 포스트 디지털 세대라고 한다. 포스트 디지털 세대를 위한 교육목회는 기존의 교회적 차원 및 사회적 차원과 함께 개인적 차원을 포함한다. 세 가지의 교육목회 현장에 대해 간학문적 특성에 따라 비판적 과학적 방법, 비판적 고백적 방법, 비판적 상관 관계적 방법 등으로 아홉 가지의 교육목회 유형이 분류된다. 아홉 가지의 교육목회 유형들에 따른 포스트 디지털 세대가 함양해야 할 대표적인 핵심역량들은 미디어 리터러시, 관계적 정체성, 의사소통, 하이터치, 제자로서의 삶, 매체활용, 통합적 소명, 협업능력, 그리고 다문화 가정 아동 및 청소년의 사회적 회복탄력성 등이다. 포스트 디지털 시대에 포스트 디지털 세대를 위한 교육목회는 역량들에 대한 함양을 필요로 한다.

인터넷을 이용한 선원의 여가 활동이 선박 내 문화에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Seafarers' Leisure Activities Using the Internet on Shipboard Culture)

  • 선원 직업에 대한 매력도와 선원 복지를 향상시키기 위한 방안 중 하나로 선내 인터넷 서비스 제공이 주목받고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 승선 중 인터넷을 이용한 선원의 여가 활동이 선박 내 문화에 미치는 영향에 관해 연구하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 Hofstede 문화차원론을 기반으로 선박 내 문화를 조사하고, 선원의 인터넷 여가 활동과 선박 내 문화에 관하여 선원을 대상으로 실증분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과승선 중 인터넷을 통한 사회적 교류 활동이 권력거리, 불확실성 회피, 장기지향성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 선박 내 문화를 조사한 결과 불확실성 회피 문화, 남성성 문화, 장기지향성 추구 문화, 낮은 권력거리 문화, 그리고 개인주의 문화가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 선원의 특성에 따른 선박 내 문화를 분석한 결과 선원의 특성에 따라 일부 선박 내 문화에도 유의한 차이가 발견되었다.

Do good return policies work across cultures? Effect of lenient return policies on online shopper perceptions in Eastern culture

  • While good return policies are suggested as one of the critical services for e-commerce, ambivalence between the burden of the cost and shoppers' satisfaction may prevent e-tailers from increasing their level of leniency. Based on the S-O-R model, this study has attempted to develop a grounded theory to explain how lenient return policies shape online shoppers' perceptions and responses, with a focus on cultural influences in the relationship. In order to check the cultural effects of the lenient return policy, thirty two female and eleven male undergraduate students in South Korean shoppers, who are accustomed to strict return policies, participated in the semi-structured interview. A series of open-ended questions were designed to explore consumers' reactions toward four different levels of the lenient return policy: from the strict type in South Korea to the lenient type in the U.S. Using qualitative research methods, this research has defined three types of dimensions of lenient return policy: return possible period, complexity of progress, and other restrictions. While previous researchers did not pay much attention, the last dimension, other restrictions, is shown to be the most significant in influencing online shoppers' perceptions, especially in South Korea. Also, the impacts on online shoppers' perceptions from the three types of sub-dimensions of return policy were somewhat different. Whereas a longer return possible period was considered more favorable, a medium level of complexity and restrictions were considered more desirable. In summary, this result showed that shoppers in Eastern cultures, i.e. South Korean online shoppers, seem favorable to a medium level of lenient return policies, while allowing for taking precautions against possible fraudulent behaviors and setting other restrictions. Therefore, most of retailers in South Korea recommended that e-tailers who adopt the most lenient return policies raise the bar to guard ethical shoppers from fraudulent users. Next, lenient return policies can enhance ease of use, usefulness, affect, and trust while relieving perceived risk, which is connected to intention to purchase, satisfaction, and loyalty. Interestingly, lenient return policies are more likely to change the behavioral responses of online shoppers, such as return and purchase, rather than change their attitudes or beliefs such as image, satisfaction, and loyalty. This tendency can be seen more clearly in the direct influences of return policy on responses. The reaction to lenient return policy is mostly the intention to return or to purchase. This suggests that return policy serves the e-tailers as a powerful tool in increasing online shoppers' purchase intention at the moment of purchase. Therefore, e-tailers who plan to expand their market to eastern countries, including South Korea, have to build a shield of restrictions around their lenient return policy, rather than immediately applying their original liberalized return policy. Also, e-tailers in South Korea need to review their strict and undifferentiated return policies to deal with the unsatisfied reactions of online shoppers toward their normal return policies. Although the present study was confined to the return policies currently being practiced by popular e-tailers, it would be worthwhile to develop effective return policies separately for each country, especially South Korea, keeping the culture of the relevant country in mind.

시각적 차원에 의한 건축 공간의 개념 형성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Formation of Concepts of Architectural Space based on the Optical Dimension)

  • This study proposes a thesis of architectural concepts and visual dimension systems, and the comparison between steps of spatial formation and dimensional alteration. The second chapter, to form the basis of this study, explains the dimensional alterations and changes of fundamental notion of space. In the third chapter, history of space, architectural formations, and changes of the viewpoint are analyzed as objects of study. The forth chapter presents the interrelation between dimensional alteration and the transition in fundamental notion of space, demonstrating that modern architecture has been born from these cultural movements. Lastly, the fifth chapter suggests possibilities on further studies and the following conclusions: First, architectural spaces have been changed, in accordance with the changes of culture, art and the tools that regulate architectural design. Proportional regulations by two-dimensional tools and depth through three-dimensional drawings are created. Second, architectural spaces gained depth by recognizing movement and time that have induced formations to change, creating various aesthetic backgrounds and attempts. Third, the aesthetic background and cosmologic spatial concept have led the visualization and changes of architectural experience. It created the design tools and shapes originated in dynamism and vitality. Forth, diversification of fundamental spatial concepts has become palimpsest and complex, and been divided into four dimensions; expressional two-dimensional space, perspective three-dimensional space, forth-dimensional space of time and experience, and imagery space formed by body movement. Fifth, architecture has been influenced by the elevated viewpoint that understands the whole world as a space. It has evolved from the two-dimensional proportion principle, change of depth and vanishing point to multidimensional space of movement and time. Sixth, changes of fundamental notion of space have arisen from changes of visual dimensions in times. In other words, space has been developed from two-dimensional space to multidimensional space by accepting visual dimension, grasping distance, direction, depth, height, velocity, movement, gravity, power and structure.

환대관광산업 소규모기업 사회적 책임활동(CSR): 회사 홈페이지 커뮤니케이션 분석을 중심으로 (Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Small Enterprises in Hospitality and Tourism Industry)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to explore the CSR activities of small enterprises in hospitality and tourism industry in South Korea. Since previous research on CSR activities has considerably focused on large enterprises whereas small enterprises have relatively less attention, this study aims to explore the characteristics of small enterprises in hospitality and tourism industry and their CSR activities. Research design, data, and methodology - The population of interest for this study was social enterprises registered in Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency (2016), and it was used to verify the social enterprises which has a certification for social enterprises. From 1672 companies in total, the sampling frame was a database with 117 companies in hospitality and tourism industry. This study investigates social enterprises' CSR activities on the company's official websites (e.g., company reports, magazines, the news articles, and interviews). The websites of the selected enterprises in hospitality and tourism industry were analyzed for examining CSR activities by the quantitative content analysis. All of the CSR activities in small social enterprises were classified into six dimensions based on the stakeholder theory. Results - The findings of this study provide the characteristics of the 117 small social enterprises and their specific CSR initiatives. A total of eight main business lines were identified: 1) fair travel, 2) leisure/sports, 3) accommodation/camping, 4) medical tourism, 5) exhibitions/art events/cultural events, 6) leisure activities for vulnerable social groups, 7) Korean traditional culture, and 8) ecotourism/agricultural tourism. The CSR initiatives were classified into six dimensions: 1) environment, 2) employment, 3) multicultural families and vulnerable social groups, 4) local community, 5) economic prosperity, and 6) product. Conclusions - This study revealed the special CSR initiative examples of small enterprises in hospitality and tourism industry. Small social enterprises participate in CSR activities mainly related to their own business lines. Moreover, these enterprises are more closely embedded in their local community development, job creation and education for local residents and vulnerable social groups, and traditional heritage preservation. The findings of this study provide theoretical and practical implications and they can contribute to enrich CSR with literature for small enterprises in hospitality and tourism industry.

개인의 건강관리능력(Personal Power of Health Care; PPHC) 도구 개발 (Scale Development: The Personal Power of Health Care (PPHC))

  • Purpose: A new scale was developed to measure personal power and ability for health care and promotion including health determinants. Method: Research phases designed for this study were a literature review, scale development, discussion with experts, pre-test for content validity, and survey for construct validity and reliability. The scale was composed of 20 items on 4 point Likert scale and was tested on middle aged Korean-Americans (110) and Koreans (105) living in a community. Result: As the result of factor analysis, 7 dimensions were identified that were similar yet different from the original dimensions. They included health literacy, socialbelonging and gender role, self-perception, health policy participation, socio-cultural interpersonal relationships, spiritual comfort, and socioeconomic involvement. The total variances explained 59.73%. The reliability was .736 of Cronbach's alpha. The mean PPHC was not different in age, gender, economic status and disease presence, but significantly different in country where living, religion, education level, job presence, and emigration period. The increased power group perceived more wellbeing and less depression, high internal locus of control and increased power with others. In addition, they had a greater health promotion lifestyle profile. Conclusion: This scale was statistically reliable and valid to measure personal power of health care.
