Cu-8.6wt%Al 삽입금속을 사용한 페라이트계 스테인리스강의 아크 브레이징 접합부의 미세조직과 인장성질 (Microstructures and Tensile Properties in Arc Brazed Joints of Ferritic Stainless Steel using Cu-8.6%Al Insert Metal)

  • Microstructures and tensile properties in arc brazed joints of ferritic stainless steel, 429EM using Cu-8.6%Al insert metal was investigated as function of brazing current. The brazing speed was fixed at 800mm/min and brazing current varied in the range of 80A to 120A. The initial phase of filler metal was Cu single phase. However, the insert metal structures of brazed joints was composed of Cu matrix and intermetallic compound such as ${\gamma}_1(Al_4Cu_9)$, and flower-shape Fe-Cr. The fraction of ${\gamma}_1(Al_4Cu_9)$ phase was similar with 80A and 100A brazing currents while that of brazed with 120A was decreased. On the other hand, the fraction of Fe-Cr phase increased with increasing of the brazing current. A reaction layer at the base metal/insert metal interface was observed and this reaction layer was thickened with increasing of the brazing current. In the brazed joints with the current lower than 100A, crack was grew up along the interface which was perpendicular to the tensile stress, and then, passed through the insert metal in the final stage of fracture. As the brazing current increased to 120A, fracture occurred at the base metal.

다이아몬드 grit(흑연) / Cu-13Sn-12Ti 삽입금속 진공 브레이징 접합체의 젖음성 및 계면반응 (The Wetting and Interfacial Reaction of Vacuum Brazed Joint between Diamond Grit(graphite) and Cu-13Sn-12Ti Filler Alloy)

  • Various alloy system, such as Cu-Sn-Ti, Cu-Ag-Ti, and Ni-B-Cr-based alloy are used for the brazing of diamond grits. However, the problem of the adhesion strength between the diamond grits and the brazed alloy is presented. The adhesion strength between the diamond grits and the melting filler alloy is predicted by the contact angle, thereby, instead of diamond grit, the study on the wettability between the graphite and the brazing alloy has been indirectly executed. In this study, Cu-13Sn-12Ti filler alloy was manufactured, and the contact angles, the shear strengths and the interfacial area between the graphites (diamond grits) and braze matrix were investigated. The contact angle was decreased on increasing holding time and temperature. The results of shear strength of the graphite joints brazed filler alloys were observed that the joints applied Cu-13Sn-12Ti alloy at brazing temperature $940^{\circ}C$ was very sound condition indicating the shear tensile value of 23.8 MPa because of existing the widest carbide(TiC) reaction layers. The micrograph of wettability of the diamond grit brazed filler alloys were observed that the brazement applied Cu-13Sn-12Ti alloy at brazing temperature $990^{\circ}C$ was very sound condition because of existing a few TiC grains in the vicinity of the TiC layers.

Cu-Phthalocyanine 유기장벽 두께에 따른 스핀소자의 전기적 특성 변화 양상 (Electrical Characteristics of Magnetic Tunnel Junctions with Different Cu-Phthalocyanine Barrier Thicknesses)

  • Fe(100)/MgO(100)/CuPc/Co 자성터널접합 소자의 온도에 따른 전압-전류 특성 변화를 관찰하였다. 화학적 열적 안정성이 비교적 우수한 Cu-Phthalocyanine(CuPc)의 유기박막을 에피성장된 2 nm MgO(100) 박막 위에 2~10 nm 두께로 적층하여 두 강자성 Fe(100)와 Co 전극 사이의 무기-유기 복합 절연격벽으로 이용하였다. 저온 77 K에서 측정된 거대자기저항현상은 CuPc의 두께가 증가함에 따라 급격히 감소하여 10 nm의 CuPc 두께의 경우 전하축적에 의한 쌍안정 스위칭 거동(bistable switching behavior)이 관찰되었다. 이 스위칭 거동은 약 240 K의 온도에 이르면서 점차 소멸되어 상온에서는 정류기와 유사한 비대칭적 전압-전류 특성을 보였다. 이 연구에서 우리는 MgO/CuPc 층상구조에대해 유기물 스핀소자의 절연격벽뿐만 아니라 Polymer Random Access Memory(PoRAM)를 위한 응용 가능성에 대해 논하였다.

초고온용 Zn-Al-Cu계 Pb-free 솔더 합금의 특성 (A Characteristics of Zn-Al-Cu System Pb-free Solder Alloys for Ultra High Temperature Applications)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of pb-free $Zn-(3\~6)\%Al-(1\~6)\%Cu$ solder alloys for ultra high temperature(>573K) which applied to air craft, space satellite, automotive, oil, gas well exploration and data logging of geo-thermal wells. Melting range, solderability, electric resistivity, microstructure and mechanical properties were examined with solder alloys casted in Ar gas atmosphere. $Zn-4\%Al-(1\~3)\%Cu,\;Zn-5\%Al-(2\~4)\%Cu\;and\;Zn-6\%Al-(3\~5)\%Cu$ alloys satisfied the optimum melting range of 643 to 673k for ultra high temperature solder. A melting temperature increased with increasing Cu content, but decreased with increasing Al content. The spreadability was improved with increasing hi content. But the content of Cu had no effect on the spreadability. The electric resistivity was lowered with increasing Al and decreasing Cu content. In all Zn-Al-Cu solder alloys, primary dendritic $\varepsilon$ phase(Zn-Cu), dendritic $\eta$ phase(Zn-Cu-Al), $\alpha(Al-Zn)-\eta$ eutectic and eutectoid phase were observed. The addition of Al increased the volume fraction of eutectic and eutectoid phase and it decreased f phases. Also, the addition of Cu increased slightly the volume fraction of e, the eutectic and eutectoid phases. With increasing total content of Al and Cu, a hardness and a tensile strength were linearly increased, but anelongation was linearly decreased.

  • 초경합금입자와 탄소강사이의 브레이징 접합부 특성을 평가하였다 선택된 두 종류의 삽입금속은 기계적 합금 공정으로 만들어졌다. 한 가지는 Cu, Zn, Ag (MIM-1) 그리고 다른 한 가지는 Cu, Zn, Ag과 Cd(MIM-2)로 구성하였다. 삽입금속들의 화학조성은 AWS BAg-20계와 BAg-2a계의 성분과 유사하였다. 그리고 상용삽입금속들(CIM-1, CIM-2) 역시 비교 평가하였다. 삽입금속들의 특성은 젖음성 시험, 전단강도 시험, 그리고 미세조직 관찰로서 나타내었다. 젖음성 시험에서 MIM-1과 CIM-1 삽입금속의 젖음각이 MIM-2와 CIM-2보다 크게 나타났고, MIM-1의 젖음각이 CIM-1보다 더 큰 값을 나타났지만 모든 경우 젖음각이 $25^{\circ}$보다 작았다. 삽입금속, MIM-1이 가장 높은 전단강도를 나타냈고, 그 값은 $2.29{\times}10^2MPa$로 측정되었다. 이 값은 상용 삽입금속의 값과 같거나 높은 것으로 나타났다. 삽입금속의 미세조직은 Cu-rich 초정영역과 Ag-rich 공정영역으로 구성되었다. MIM-1계로 만들어진 초경합금과 탄소강의 접합부는 일부 접합부 계면에 기공을 포함하지만 초정을 기지로 하는 안정적인 미세조직을 나타냈다.

전기접점용 이종금속 WCu-Cu 접합재의 마찰압점 특성 (Properties of Friction Welding of Dissimilar Metals WCu-Cu Weld for Electrical Contact Device)

  • A copper-tungsten sintered alloy(WCu) has been friction-welded to a tough pitch copper (Cu) in order to investigate friction weldability. The maximum tensile strength of the SWu-Cu friction welded joints had cp to 96% of those of the Cu base metal under the condition of friction time 0.6sec, friction pressure 45MPa, upset pressure 125MPa and upset time 5.0sec. And it is confirmed that the tensile strength of friction welded joints are influenced highly by upset pressure rather than friction time. And it is considered that mixed layer was formed in the Cu adjacent side to the weld interface, W particles included in mixed layer induced fracture in the Cu adjacent side to the weld interface and also, thickness of mixed layer was reduced as upset pressure increase.
