전자주입효율이 향상된 계단형 이중 전자주입층을 사용한 녹색 유기발광소자 효율 증진

  • 유기 발광 소자내의 전공과 전자의 균형과 효율적인 재결합을 통한 발광소자의 효율 향상을 위한 다양한 연구가 소자의 응용에 매우 큰 영향을 주고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 전도성 유기물내에서 정공의 이동도 가 전자의 이동도 보다 100 배 정도 빠르기 때문에 발광 효율을 향상시키기 위한 효율적인 전자 주입이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 전자주입효율을 향상하기 위하여 강한 전자 받게 역할을 하는 플러렌($C_{60}$)의 장점을 이용한 이중 전자 주입층을 제작하고 녹색 유기 발광 소자에 사용하여 발광효율의 변화를 관찰하였다. 유기 발광 소자에서 전자의 이동도를 향상하여 발광 층내로 주입되는 전자의 주입량을 증가하여 엑시톤 형성 확률을 높이기 위하여 전자 주입 층 내에 $C_{60}$을 첨가하였다. $C_{60}$만으로 이루어진 단층 전자 주입 층으로 구성된 유기발광 소자는 Al과 $C_{60}$ 계면사이에 거칠기가 큰 계면으로 인해 발생된 누설전류로 인해 Cesium flouride (CsF) 단층 전자 주입 층에 비해 낮은 발광효율을 나타냈다. 플러렌의 높은 전자전도성을 유지하며 누설전류의 흐름을 방지하기 위하여 매우 얇은 CsF층을 알루미늄 금속과 플러렌사이에 형성함으로써 플러렌과 Al 사이의 공유결합을 없애 누설전류를 줄였으며 Cs의 무거운 원자량으로 인해 전자 수송층으로의 확산되는 량이 적어 발광층에서 엑시톤의 재결합효율이 개선되어 유기발광 소자의 발광효율 향상이 나타남을 관찰하였다.

  • Let $CS_\alpha(\beta)$ denote the class of normalized strongly $\alpha$-close-to-convex functions of order $\beta$, defined in the open unit disk $\cal{U}$ of $\mathbb{C}$${\mid}arg{(1-{\alpha})\frac{f(z)}{g(z)}+{\alpha}\frac{zf'(z)}{g(z)}}{\mid}\;\leq\frac{\pi}{2}{\beta}(\alpha,\beta\geq0)$ such that $g\; \in\;S^{\ask}$, the class of normalized starlike unctions. In this paper, we obtain the sharp Fekete-Szego inequalities for functions belonging to $CS_\alpha(\beta)$.

한국어 자음군의 후행모음에 나타난 발성유형의 음향음성학적 연구 (An Acoustic Study of Phonation Types in Vowels Following Consonant Clusters in Korean)

  • This study investigates phonation types of Korean obstruents associated with the vowels immediately following singletons or geminates in intervocalic positions. F0, H1-H2, and spectral tilt were measured from the 20 ms segment at the onset of the vowels for the tokens of /paCa/ and /paCCa/, where Cs are of the same manner and place of articulation. The results showed a remarkable change in the values of F0, H1-H2, and spectral tilt as the preceding obstruents shifts from the lenis singletons to the lenis geminates, which suggests that the spectral characteristics of the vowels following the lenis geminates are not different from those of the vowels following fortis singletons or geminates. Significantly enough, this study adds data about the spectral characteristics of Korean phonation types.

  • We have investigated the optimum combination of the environmental noise condition and type of SQUID pickup coil in order to obtain maximum signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The measurement probe consists of 1st order gradiometer with pickup coils of 100 mm, 70 mm, and 50 mm baseline length, a 2nd order gradiometer with 50 mm baseline, and a magnetometer. The pickup coils are fabricated by winding Nb wire on a bobbin with 200 mm diameter. Noise and heart signal of a healthy male were measured by various SQUID sensors with different types of pickup coils in various magnetically shielded rooms (MSR), and compared to each other. The shielding factors were found to be 43 dB, 35 dB and 25 dB at 0.1 Hz for MSR-AS, MSR-BS, MSR-CS, respectively. White noises were $3.5\;fT/Hz^{1/2}$, $4.5\;fT/Hz^{1/2}$ and $3\;fT/Hz^{1/2}$ for the 1st order gradiometers, the 2nd order gradiometers, and magnetometer for all MSRs. SNR of the magnetometer was up to 56 dB in MSR-AS, while the 1st order axial gradiometer with 70 mm baseline length was up to 54 dB in MSR-BS. The 2nd order axial gradiometer with 50 mm baseline length of pickup coil was found to be up to 40 dB in MSR-CS.

Genetic Mapping of Resistant Genes in Brassica pekinensis Against Plasmodiophora brassicae Race 6

  • Inbred lines of Chinese cabbage KU-101 (resistant line against Plasmodiophora brassicae race race 6) and CS-113 (susceptible line) were crossed and their progeny lines F$_1$, BC$_1$F$_1$, F$_2$, and F$_3$ were produced for the construction of the genetic linkage map of R brassicae race 6-resistant Brassica campestris ssp. pekinensis genome. Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) was applied to compare between parents and their f$_2$ progenies with a total of 192 probes and 5 restriction enzymes. The constructed RFLP map covered 1,104 cM with a mean distance between genetic marker of 8.0 cM, and produced 10 linkage groups having 121 genetic loci. The loci of P. brassicae race 6 (CR6)-resistant Brassica genome were determined by interval mapping of quan-titative trait loci (QTL), which resulted from bioassay using the same race of the fungi in P3 population. Resistant loci were estimated in numbers 1 (Gl) and 3 (G3) linkage groups. In the regression test, Gl had a value of4.8 logarithm of odd (LOD) score, while C3 had values of 4.2-7.2. Given these results, the location of the CR6-resistant loci within the Brassica genome map can now be addressed.

Non-pungent Capsicum Contains a Deletion in the Capsaicinoid Synthetase Gene, which Allows Early Detection of Pungency with SCAR Markers

  • The capsaicinoid synthetase (CS) gene cosegregated perfectly with the C locus, which controls the presence of pungency, in 121 $F_2$ individuals from a cross between 'ECW123R' and 'CM334', both of Capsicum annuum. We concluded that CS and C are tightly linked. Sequence analysis of the genes of four pungent and four non-pungent pepper lines showed that the non-pungent peppers had a 2,529 bp-deletion in the 5' upstream region of CS. We have developed molecular markers of the C locus to detect pungency at the seedling stage. Based on the deleted sequence, we developed five SCAR markers, two of them being codominant. These SCAR markers will be useful for easy, accurate, and early detection of non-pungent individuals in breeding programs.

New Approach to Chuncheon Dakgalbi Processing by Various Chicken Materials, Seasoning and Cooking Methods

  • This research was conducted to develop a new approach to Chuncheon Dakgalbi processing by various chicken materials, seasoning (conventional sauce/CS and new approach of seasoning by adding the curing mixture/CSA), and cooking methods. Three chicken breeds (broiler, old broiler and spent laying hen) were divided into five experimental groups: broiler-CS, old broiler-CS, old broiler-CSA, spent laying hen-CS, and spent laying hen-CSA. All samples were stored at $5^{\circ}C$ for 12 d. For sensory evaluation, all samples were cooked with conventional cooking (pan grilling) or high temperature and pressure cooking (at $121^{\circ}C$ with pressure 1.5 $Kg_f/cm^2$ for 30 min). The chicken material analysis showed that the moisture and crude protein content, cooking loss and shear-force of the old broiler and spent laying hen were higher (p<0.05) than those of the current broiler, but the crude ash, crude lipid and WHC were lower (p<0.05). The addition of CSA increased the pH value and reduced the lipid oxidation at the end of storage regardless of chicken breeds (p<0.05). The high temperature and pressure cooking method seemed to increase the taste, smell and overall-acceptability scores of the old broiler and spent laying hen Chuncheon Dakgalbi regardless of the implementation of new approach of seasoning (CSA). In conclusion, an old broiler and spent laying hen can be used as material of Chuncheon Dakgalbi by the application of a new approach of seasoning and cooking method.

Improvement of Bronchial Immune Hypersensitivity Reaction by Extracts from Chrysanthemum morifolium and Scutellaria baicalensis

  • This study aimed to discover functional materials derived from resources, which can improve the troublesome symptoms of a bronchus by improving bronchial hyperresponsiveness as air pollution in Korea caused by fine dust and yellow dust is getting worse. Of natural resources grown naturally in Korea, Chrysanthemum morifolium(CM), and Scutellaria baicalensis(SB) have been used as a safe raw material for drinking or medicine for a long time, and it has been found that a combination of CS73 can improve bronchial health function in experimental animal models. Analysis of serum of animal models with asthma induced by ovalbumin (chicken egg albumin) and analysis of cytokine production in BALF (Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid) showed that inflammatory indices IL-1β, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10, IL-13, IL-17A, IL-17F, and IL-17E were significantly reduced and that respective production of IL-2 and IFN-γ was significantly increased in the group taking extracts from CS73 when compared with the control group. These results suggested that the combination of CS73 could be used as a natural treatment for asthma. In addition, in the animal models that the combination of CS73 significantly decreased the respective production of IgE, histamine and TSLP when compared with the control group. In experimental models, the ratio of Chrysanthemum morifolium to Scutellaria baicalensis of 7 : 3 had more excellent effect than other combined experimental groups, which suggests that the above combination can be developed as a natural treatment for asthma and is valuable as a pharmaceutical composition with an effect of improving bronchial health, capable of contributing to the public health threatened by fine dust.

광계II 활성 분석을 통한 마늘의 생육초기 고온 스트레스의 영향 평가 (Assessment of High Temperature Impacts on Early Growth of Garlic Plant (Allium sativum L.) through Monitoring of Photosystem II Activities)

  • 본 연구는 마늘의 초기생장에 미치는 온도의 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 맹아가 출현된 마늘의 인편을 온도를 달리하여 재배하고, 마늘의 생육특성, 광계II 활성과 항산화효소의 발현 양상을 살펴보았다. 마늘의 생육은 $15-25^{\circ}C$ 조건에서 양호하여 지상부의 생장과 엽수가 빠르게 발달하였다. 특히, 지상부와 인경의 건중량과 전체 건중량이 $20^{\circ}C$에서 가장 높았으며, 그보다 높은 온도에서는 지상부, 인경과 뿌리의 건중량이, 그리고 낮은 온도에서는 지상부의 건중량이 크게 감소하였다. $F_v/F_o$$F_v/F_m$ 또한 $15-20^{\circ}C$에서 높았으며 그 이상의 온도에서 크게 감소하였다. OKJIP 곡선의 패턴에서도 $15-20^{\circ}C$에서 $F_i$, $F_p$가 다소 증가하고, $25^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서는 점차 감소하였으며, $F_k$$W_k$$30^{\circ}C$에서 뚜렷하게 증가하였다. 그리고, 항산화효소들 중에 잎의 catalase와 superoxide dismutase, 그리고 뿌리의 peroxidase는 $20-25^{\circ}C$에서 높고 $30^{\circ}C$에서 크게 낮았다. 이러한 결과는 $30^{\circ}C$ 조건이 마늘의 초기생장에 있어 스트레스 요인으로 작용하고 있으며, $20^{\circ}C$ 전후에서 재배하는 것이 바람직함을 나타내 주고 있다. 그리고, $F_v/F_o$, $F_v/F_m$, $F_k$, $ET_o/CS_m$, $PI_{abs}$ 등의 엽록소형광 변수들은 마늘의 전체 건중량과 의미있는 상관을 보여, 마늘 생산성을 사전에 예측하는데 유용한 변수로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

내부피폭 감시주기 및 섭취형태가 방사성핵종 섭취량 평가에 미치는 영향 (Influence of the Monitoring Interval and Intake Pattern for the Evaluation of Intake)

  • 방사성핵종의 특성, 섭취형태 그리고 내부피폭 감시주기는 작업자의 방사성핵종 섭취량 및 내부피폭선량 평가 결과에 중요한 영향을 줄 수 있다. 따라서 방사성핵종이 흡입섭취 될 경우 섭취형태(급성 또는 만성) 및 내부피폭 감시주기에 따른 섭취량 평가 오차를 계산하였다. 섭취 핵종으로는 $^{125}$/I(Type F), $^{137}$Cs(Type F), $^{235}$ U(Type M, Type S)를 고려하였고, 방사능입자크기(AMAD)는 1 $\mu\textrm{m}$와 5 $\mu\textrm{m}$를 고려하였다. 섭취형태에 따라 평가된 섭취량의 상대오차는 방사성핵종, 흡수형태 그리고 내부피폭 감시주기에 따라 달랐으나, 입자크기에 의한 영향은 거의 없었다. 섭취형태 가정에 따른 섭취량 평가 오차를 10% 미만으로 줄일 수 있는 내부피폭 최대감시주기는 $^{125}$/I(Type F)에 대해 60일, $^{137}$Cs(Type F)에 대해 180일, $^{235}$ U(Type M)에 대해 90일, 그리고 $^{235}$ U(Type S)에 대해 360일로 나타났다.
